That Melilot Top is so beautiful. Jordan is super lucky! You went above and beyond with birthday gifts this year. It's sweet to see them bringing you a cocktail, so clearly you are both spoiling each other. ❤ I never thought to make a t-shirt dress from the core t-shirt. You are giving me some serious ideas!

Valerie! Your pattern matching on the pocket of Jordan’s shirt needs mentioning! *chefs kiss 🤩 Jordan is so very lucky! I love a good play suit/romper, but you might get more wear out of it in the fall and spring if you keep it long. Your Blanca is perfection! Glad to see you’re back filming! 😍

What a treat to turn on CZcams with my morning tea and see you! I would turn the jumpsuit into a romper. I agree, you will get more wear out of it. Your Core T shirt dress is so pretty. You should be proud of your Blanca. I have not sewn a lot lately. Mostly quick repeats.

So many great makes! I am gearing up to make the Blanca Flight Suit (someday, I'm scared!😅) and I am OBSESSED with yours. It's amazing. I've never made a jumpsuit before, so I've been thinking about starting with the Zadie because it seems like it might be a bit more simple to make and fit. Your new Zadie is beautiful on you. I love it long, but I think it would also be super cute if you shortened it. Thanks for sharing your projects! 💙
The Zadie is a great beginner jumpsuit pattern. The binding around the front can be a little fiddly but it comes together really nicely!
A play suit would be nice, but I wouldn’t change this one. It looks great on you and you will get a lot of use of it when the weather is cooler.

I just finished The Assembly Line cuff sleeve vest in a headstock wool. I lined it and it is so warm! We have had some 0 degree mornings here. I wore it twice in the first week after making it. It is great when a make is perfect!

Super makes Val! Love your Blanca, my fave recent makes are my oxbow pants my gofre blouse and chanterelles! Glad your serger was an easy fix!

Yay! Your're back. I am making another Gilbert Top in some natural linen. I think I might want to dye it. It's going to be a part of a set with some very simple Pants No. 1. I am sure I'll get a lot of wear out of them both. Happy sewing!

If I have time I want to go to Blue Moon Fabrics! We won't be there for too long and we have a packed schedule but I'd love to get to at least one fabric shop☺

Welcome back. Great gifts for Jordan! Did you use any heavy interfacing in the Harrison bag? It looked quite supple….just wondering. Love your Blanca & the skirts and the flowered t-dress. Haven’t tried a jumpsuit for myself yet…but I’ve been making a few Juliet tops from LN- sleeveless for the summertime. Glad you still made time to sew during your break.
Thank you so much!! The instructions say to not interface waxed cottons but I have fully interfaced all the lining fabric. It is a sturdy one!
Just make another zadie in a different fabric. This one is perfect for spring, falll and evenings.

Maybe the skirt is a little bigger because the fabric is a looser weave than the previous fabric causing it to stretch more? I LOVE that skirt btw, might need that fabric in my life 😅
You are probably right about the weave of the fabric. I would highly recommend it though...it is lovely to work with.
I had the same experience with spoonflower, the colors are not as bright,disappointing.
I agree. At least for the cotton canvas I was a little disappointed...
