its tempo is 3/4, so waltz-alike, and it's what we heard in the past summer event; so now ofc we're expecting this kind of middle-european 19th century music is the signature music of fontaine

I honestly love the way you presented Furina. Just from watching her actions you can kind of tell she has a childish like sence of justice something you'd read from story books (you can even tell when at the end of the fight she treats it like a duel and not a battle emphasising her shock from the surprise attack more. Also I feel like she only sees the world in black and white so she has a single minded sense of justice ( this could also be shown though her eyes which are black and white). All in all this is amazing and I absolutely love it :)
TBH that is an amazing study of this video, I can see that Furina was treating this battle with more of a duelist take, and would believe that the opponent would have a sense of sportsmanship, which as we see in the last clip is the way Arlecchino fights and acts, underhandedly.

Surprisingly accurate to the characters!! Given the characters the song was made for, I didn't think this would work, but Neuvillette's cluelessness on human behavior, and Furina's "interesting personality", this worked REALLY well! And obviously the animatic was gorgeoussss

NO CUZ FURINA HAVING A GOD COMPLEX AND BOTH NEUVILETTE AND HER LOOKING DOWN ON FONTAINE CUZ OF THEIR EMOTIONS WOULD'VE BEEN SUCH A GOOD PLOT
Even knowing that Nuvillete was actually a really caring character the lyrics still match really really really well
this feels like if focalors didn't continue with her plan and ended up leading fontaine as herself, yet eventually driven insane by the prophecy and externalizes it by gradually lessening the value of human lives in her eyes. arlecchino which senses the gnosis in focalors also leads to her to settling it with less savoury ways. all in all truly amazing work!

As someone who has actually finished the quests we have for the area, this honestly fits. It works, in my opinion.

In retrospect after the release of the archon quest, I feel that Focalors (the archon) would have sang the part of Furina in this animatic. Someone who doesn't quite empathize with humans, yet still watches over them as if they were her children. The more I listen the more it fits 😭😭
Coming back to this after Fontaine (yes I just now finished I'm lazy) it's kinda crazy how well this fits with furina's acting as a god

I'm in love with 'Death Note Musical' especially this song, so the combination with Fontaine (and how the region is so theatrically coded, turning everything into entertainment) is well found !
I'd seen a headcanon tiktok about Furina's reaction if someone disrespected her at court or dared to challenge her and her autority and I was like "damn, I NEED to see a badass Furina in complete harmony with and over waters". YOU DID IT : she's seems to be one with the element and that's sooo enchanting and wonderful ! She knows how to play but also fight with it and and it's totally in line with her personality. I cannot explain how many times I've watched this! Its amazing, I LOVE the way Focalors walks on water and shoves Neuvillette with the water, its genius and beautiful to watch! I also love how playful and kind of insane looking Focalors is!
This still works really well post 4.2, if consider the fem voice focalor instead of furina

the way this is fitting to the story of Fontaine right now... Neuvillete is always trying to understand humans despite being around them for so long and he still can't grasp some human ideals (the scene at the end of chapter 4 act 2 shows this) while Furina uses humanity as entertainment.

I love this, I feel like it just suits Fontaine so well. Especially with the waltz like feel of the song. If I were to describe Fontaine I feel like it will be a dangerous waltz. Fontaine has the God of hydro and justice so behind the scenes there will be a lot of injustice and trickery.
And now we know Furina is only human after all

AAAA I LOVE THE STAGING AND COMPOSITION (?) of each frame!!! The serious Neuvillette and the mischievous (?) Furina dancing together is such a beautiful scene, and then the sword fight between Arlecchino and Furina well-staged(? boarded?) as well. It’s a wonderful animatic based on the trailer❤️
