    The excursionist perk is pretty awesome. I’ve spent a fair amount of time mapping flights with it. Makes me wish I lived in a United hub. Good stuff, love the info

    The last leg FLL to CLE can you change that to a different city in the US for ex MCO to DFW (given that the miles might be higher in that case)

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Před měsícem +1

      yes, you can change it to a different city as long as there's award availability for that route!

    I dont🎉 even know points and Miles….I just book individually per travel in any airlines i like… Are MILES expiring? Do you need to use that within a certain period?

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Před 2 měsíci

      depends on the type of miles you have. We recommend having credit card points like Chase, Amex, Capital One, Citi, and BILT if possible. Those are more flexible and don't expire

    Julia, I have school kids with inflexible vacation dates and a spouse who wants certainty, not last-minute decisions. Can a family still get decent redemption using points to book inflexible travel? What strategy is best? Have a video on this already?

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Před 3 měsíci

      yes, it can be done! The best strategy would be to plan far ahead (10-11 months) since you already know when the kids' school vacations will be. Isn’t Ana discontinuing their RTW tickets?

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Před 3 měsíci

      are they? I did a quick search and couldn't find any articles on that. I know that they recently devalued a lot of their routes, but from what I've seen, RTW seems safe (feel free to send me any links to articles that say otherwise though, bc I'd definitely read it).

      @@geobreezetravel My bad, i meant singapore airlines is ending their RTW tickets as of May 1st.

    Thank you so much!! I am wondering if you have insight which airlines might be best for HKG to WAS/ NYC, WAS to ROME, ROME/ Italy to HKG please?

      Plug those into seats.aero and sort by points

      if you're trying to do all of that on one trip, it might be worth looking into ANA, but that's pretty challenging. Alaska might be a good bet for getting you 2/3 of that itinerary.

    if i want to go to Bangkok with a stopover in Japan, whats my best choice?
    right now, i see Aeroplan for 75k+5k in biz oneway. (i dont want to fly busines, rather save point)
    Alaska i think i was 44k BOS>BKK with a free stop...
    United BOS to BKK 66k miles no stopover :p
    Paying with cash is only $1800 round trip BOS>KIX>BKK>HND>BOS ( this one i get to do 2 stopovers) :]

    • @geobreezetravel
      @geobreezetravel  Před 3 měsíci

      if you have access to Alaska points, that'd definitely be my pick.
      also, if the 2 stopovers is a perk for you rather than a hassle, the cash option doesn't sound bad!
