Hopefully the fungicide will work, Clyde. It does look a little better. Have you thought about just taking one branch off to root up that isn't too badly affected? Just in case. Thank you for sharing with us with my friend. Have a lovely day from Edith & myself to you and Deb 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
Actually, yes, I've thought about it, but not sure if it's inside the plant and if it would pop up anyway in the cutting. But that may be worth a shot! Crazy just how many plants are tied in with the cedar trees with this. Not sure even if this is the source or not. Many kinds of rust out there that are plant specific or need two hosts to complete their life cycle. I've read that even Euphorbia have a specific species of rust! Hope this worked!! I will spray it and water it with fungicide again in a week , as instructions say. Fingers crossed that this treatment worked!!! And yes, maybe a cutting is in order. Take that today! Thanks for watching Daz!!! And your great comment!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 and Singapore 🇸🇬 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴💐🍀🌿🌱🌸🌳🪴🌻🌹🌾😃👍

Yeah, that's kinda our problem here . Eastern red cedar is everywhere. Can't get away from them!! Common as grass!! Does my rust come from them? I'm not sure. There are types that are specific to Euphorbias. Not sure, but it's becoming fairly common. Just have to fight back!!! Thanks for watching Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴💐🍀🌿🌱🌸🌳🪴🌻🌹🌾😃👍
How are the plant looking now? I newer had luck treating rust, i just cut and use sulfur to control it. Sulfur should work for rust, but i think in cacti, the fungi run to deep into the plant. But also here in EU they made ban on almost all systemics. so it is a bit rough to deal with here. What are your systemic fungicide active ingredient? Best regards from Denmark :D
Yes, that is the problem. Skin is tough so the systemic has a hard time getting into the plant. So soaking was my last option to try and save some of these plants. It seams to have stopped it. I believe soaking was the answer. I will water the plant with this and spray again to be sure. The systemic I'm using is called Infuse systemic fungicide. The active ingredient is propiconazole. Works well on many plants. But like I said, if the skin is too thick, it needs to soak for about an hour so it can penitrate . Thanks for watching!!! from Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Denmark 🇩🇰 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴💐🍀🌿🌱🌸🌳🪴🌻🌹🌾😃👍

Bummer Clyde 😬 We get it on our leeks and garlic. I don't bother doing anything about it as it's carried by Groundsel, a weed that's everywhere here.
