Sir what is the meaning of OBC backed regional parties got support of minorities?
minority generally vote strategically, meaning they vote to party/candidate who they think may defeat the party /candidate they don't like...regional parties are generally favoured by minorities for majority of regional parties project themselves as protector of minority interests...out of two national parties, minorities generally prefer congress but if they feel that regional party is better placed to defeat BJP, they support them. Hence regional party in many north Indian state form OBC and minority as vote bank combination. For example RJD in Bihar, and SP, and BSP in UP. Even in south, TRS allies with AIMM, and TDP in AP, and DMK/AIDMK in TN also get minority support apart from very strong OBC support.
