You remind me of another off meta player who had great movement i faced. The guy i faced had double pistols with a sword on his back and the infinite missle launcher he was so hard to fight, dood would hit all his pistol shots then kick me for stagger than sword me for the final blow
This was nice. Used the terrain, was almost never level with the opponent, consistently kept the engagements mid range and used a few pulse armors to be aggressive.

People sleep on a lot of good weapon systems. IMO the Zimmermans aren't broken but overrated. The Laser shotties have a very good spread and have interesting charges
@@ExeErdnathey're absolutely overtuned compared to most other weapons, but they are by no means game breaking even in thier current state. Plenty of viable ways to play.
@DoctorWhoBlue I completely agree. The only weapons I think are truly game-breaking are the Stun Needle Launchers. No weapon should be able to deal that kind of damage.
@@astercat49damage isn't the problem with stun needles, there's a good 4-5 other options that deal about as much damage. The problem is that they're the ones that have the least weight and EN requirements to deal that amount of damage. They're way too easy to slot in for the damage they deal.
I've had some of my most pleasurable experiences in Japan lobbies in ac4 and acfa. They always had the most creative variety of mechs and playstyles compared to NA.

11:15 popping pulse armor to block the assault armor was so good! Those narrow moments were a fight is decided by a good call and execution are so cool to see!

The pulse armor isn't designed to shield against the assault armor; unfortunately, it can't mitigate the damage caused by the assault armor. From my perspective, it might be best not to rely on the pulse armor for this purpose. Actually, it works the other way around. Usually, the assault armor is employed to penetrate the defenses of the pulse armor. However, employing the pulse armor after sustaining damage from the assault armor can yield unexpected advantages. This tactic allows you to leverage the damage received. Given that both armors are typically in close proximity due to their recent assault boosts, the damage exchange tends to be quite lopsided. While I remain unharmed, my opponent bears the brunt of the impact over a specific period. In many cases, this can result in even more damage than a single assault boost would inflict. Your insights are incredibly valuable, and I'm truly grateful for your input.

Man, I really hope the playerbase stays high. Someone should make an MMR mod for PvP. The evolution of PvP would be soooo good! Best gameplay of any game I've seen.
Totally agreed, this game desperately needs a proper ranked matchmaking asap otherwise people will get bored of pve content soon and eventually leave. PvP right now is extremely bare bones, just add ranked and leaderboards.

@@vargasaidan7366 eh depends, MMR can make or break pvp. i actually like that the game doesn't have MMR, as it promotes a more "creative" way to play rather than aiming to "rank up". Just look at Fromsoftware's other game, the PvP community is thriving albeit niche... and that's fine.
Not sure about ranked play, but the game certainly needs matchmaking.

What is it doing? Letting him stay hardlocked thru the walls?
@@noahanderson984 it momentarily reveals where you enemies are, even behind obstacles. meaning that yes, you can lock to enemy AC even behind walls/buildings. It can help with missiles or just taking cover
@@noahanderson984 You lose lock if enemy goes behind the obstacle. Scan keep persistence show up visually enemy so lock on is not lose it.
You see how camera movement? With Lock On assisted mode (R3) the center lock will always follow the target as long as not lose sight or behind the obstacle.
Did you see some player in video shoot aimlessly? That player probably not play it with Lock On assisted or player forget to keep scan or player getting used to old AC playstyle that you use to keep camera on the target by your thumb finger.
AC6 is not need that anymore. On 1vs1 you can let Lock On assisted mode do the lock for you, as long as you don't move R3 stick. The camera will always follow the target.
You can test it in AC test. Press R3, move whatever the way you want left to right zig zag as hard as you want. As long as you don't move R3 stick, Camera always stick on target. But if you touch R3 stick, its will move the camera and you lose auto follow.
With Assisted Lock On, you can rest your thumb finger. You can free up and utilize your thumb finger on shoulder weapon or any other button. Without ever touching R3 stick at all.
This is new feature in AC6. I used to old habit that always fiddle with R3 stick try hard to keep target on the center by myself and losing lock on target so often. With assisted lock, I can leave R3 alone.
In verdict day 5v5 it was interesting all of you distance each other using building and hills as cover, carefully not get flank, tank will dish all dmg while snipers will peek a boo style..

That was an incredible watch. You are super skilled and I like that you make light builds work. Many good pvpers are saying heavy is the meta and light has no chance but you prove that it's possible to win with enough skill :)
On the contrary, I think the very best players can get away with light builds. If you don't get hit, light is superior.

I doubt this game will have a PVP fanbase in a year. I love armored core as a whole. But this game does not have a strong foundation for pvp. No matchmaking, no servers, bad balancing, not many options for parts or weapons.
People will hide more and use longer range weapons. Many people I’ve run into already copied my weapons and style even down to assault boosting in people’s faces. There’s also a 50/50 chance they’ll ban Watchpoint Delta.
@@samferrell7929tbh if they just tweaked and balanced it a bit more along with matchmaking, the game would be a great repeatable multiplayer. Also i feel if they brought back gamemodes with perma death that would make 3 vs 3s more tense and engaging.

When I played PVP in AC6, I noticed most players don't use bunny hopping to conserve energy while moving around, just the old AC games used to do. It's nice to see you using it to out maneuver your opponent :)
I don't like using it cause it looks dumb. Never seen a mecha doing that in anything.

@@CaptainSkylocke Its not dumb. Aerial is faster than ground dash. And you have a chance to dodge jump up and down instead of just transverse.
The tense music really fits in this kind of slow, tactical gameplay.

I've pretty much smashed the single player, but yet to try PvP. I'm an older head and there's something always a bit offputting about super competitive online play, but having come from AC4 and AC:FA I have to say i'm really looking forward to entering PvP with this installment.
Nice playstyle and well done for staying outside of the well known meta. This is how the game should be played - for fun, and to your own design.
Yeahhh unless you play with some friends no matter what region you’re in. You will see mostly the same 3 builds. Japan especially.

I have a “Pegasus” build using it with double soups poking with missiles and looking for chunk shots once staggers built up with laser blade for melee but I debate having moonlight

Looks like the aorta with how much en was restored after he redlined. Great gens probably my favorite, just gotta remember to redline to get the most benefit. Really teaches you to optimize energy useage and spacing so you don’t redline when the enemy ac is hounding you

Seriously though it is always awesome seeing talent on display and using the terrain like a real soldier would is so refreshing a change from usual PvP which is- hurr durr, Smaaaaash! and they just run into the center to beat on each other with clubs
It looks exactly like what I see in American servers. Only thing you did different was sue your scanner, which i do. I swear so many people don’t use it and I can easily setup surprises behind cover because of that.

I kind of wish there was a rear view heads up or something so that these fights can be more evasive. Remembering where you are in a mid range top to bottom spiral can be disorientating without having to give up your back to the enemy

That was nice, Im always wondering how people can track so far, I'm playing on xbox and I can get that tracking if I had a mouse but not on controller. Also which generator and booster combo is that?
Quick question. Whats with all the plasma missiles ? I see alot of people using them more often than not in pvp. Is it to counter the en shields ??
People may have different tastes in the usage of their plasma missiles, but I personally use the plasma missile for diversion purposes rather than straight DPS. It limits their movement and distracts them. And if they ignore it, the accumulation of impact damage is very good, which lingers and eventually allows me to trigger ACS stagger with another weapon.
So, 3-Cell/6-Cell missiles are great for opponents' horizontal blind spots, while 5-Cell missiles work well for their vertical blind spots. You can't literally see the missile; you can only make a proper assumption. My AC often uses vertical maneuvers, so my choice is the 3-Cell Plasma missile. But personally, I think the 5-Cell option is one of the greatest missiles. I'd definitely pick it if I can't change one side missile forever.

hahahaha that part @3:15 looks like it activated -Trans Am- was that coloration effect to glow red something tied to the AC parts or something players can customize in garage? Loving all the AC6 vids I am getting from the reco feed. I hope one addition that FS gives later on in either an update for AC6 or for AC7 is the option or a set of weapons or parts that focus on electronic warfare to hack an enemy mech to disable them non lethally. Also opens up the option to harvest parts or weapons from enemy mechs so we can use them on our own mech or sell them for funds. Would be extra awesome if this was doable for boss fights too maybe just make it more tricky to perfectly pull off but still doable and lets us get special parts or weapons from harvesting from boss units! Up to FS if they decide to make that available from the start of new game or just give that option after NG+++++.
Something that might let us go for what can amount to a pacifist run specially when we consider how FS played with the story for this game. Having to fight characters that we grow to like can suck so bad. Having the option to disable their mechs without blowing them up or having the capacity to pull off Kira Yamato style non lethal mech destruction BS moves would be a nice thing specially if they design it where it'd be extra tricky to do somehow.
Dismembering a parts off the enemy mechs would be cool too. Pulling out the enemy FCS unit out of their mech or whatever lets them pull off the moves they abuse during their respective boss fights and letting players use a copied version of the Boss unit's moves would be nice too. Albeit adjusted for balance purposes of course. I also hope Bamco lets FS make their next Gundam game or maybe the next Another Century's episode. Maybe a FS tactics edition ripping off or straight up improving the style used in the Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 3. SEGA shat the bed so bad with that game series that it made me wish that style gets ripped off wholesale for the next Super Robot Taisen or whatever action game gets a tactical rpg spin off. OK I think I like this idea gonna go copy paste this to other videos and make a compressed version of this to FS/ Miyazaki's twitter or something!

Idk but some peeps on xbox be playing like this. Im one of em. Terrain, objects, distance, elwvation, speed, durability, all of it taken into consideration. Whats nice to see is there was no quick burst meta being used. Variations. Thats the essance of AC games. This was enjoyable to watch.
That was some sweet distance and EN management. It's also refreshing to see weapon choices based on personal preference and playstyle rather than meta.

Yes! Last Raven was my most played game! Honestly, I could only imitate a tiny fraction of those skilled Ravens who played the game with me.

that reverse-jointer was a gift and I'm curious if you have any tips on moving like that? Every time I try to pull out my lightweight reverse-jointer in PVP I just get deleted by close-range builds that can easily stagger me from 0 @.@

What do you think about soft-lock vs hard-lock? I see many people saying it's bad playing with hard-lock in PvP. Is it because you play with controller? Anyway, you doing great!
@Solarowy I use a controller with a custom setting that mixes both B and C types of controller schemes.
Regarding the issue about the lock-on type, I find it difficult to provide a comprehensive answer as I don't have extensive knowledge about this matter. I must mention that I have been playing Armored Core since the older titles. Since every title has changed its core concept of AC control, and people always have have accepted these system changes. Therefore, I also have become accustomed to the evolving concepts and have adapted to the new target assistance system as an integral part of the game's default design.
I cannot confidently speak about something I have limited knowledge of. Since the game system enforces hard-locking as the default mechanism, without even offering specific optional selections, I hope they can address the concerns that are troubling some players.
Your weapon tracking is worse when using hard lock, so it is encouraged to use soft lock
@@MeepSpelar What platform are you on? On PC hard-lock off and mouse aiming seems to give you the best tracking and land most shots on target in my experience.
What has your experience been like with the controls, Controller VS Keyboard and mouse, why did you land on controller?
I'm on currently on STEAM platform with XBOX ONE Controller.
The module for tracking also affect it
Now this game gave me second best to only gunz the duel arena to PvP people and completely smash them with my awesome manouvering and aim
GunZ will always be one the best games ever.
