I’m just wondering what the issue is in seeing that Luka actually plays defense this postseason, the mavs identity has completely shifted from being a trash defense to relying on defense to win games. Don’t forget that OKC was a top 5 offense and we completely shut them down. Nobody is saying that he is all defense but chilltown is acting like teams are “letting him off the hook” defensively not going after him, like does he even watch the games that’s all opposing teams do they being Luka in every action. JD is a mavs fan but he is also clueless talking about the mavs defense is bad inside the paint, does he know that our defensive strategy is literally shutting of the paint in exchange for three pointers.
It’s also funny how nobody takes into account how trash the Timberwolves offense is and that’s not to say that the mavs will win but it’s extremely ignorant to not look at both teams when you analyze a series.

I said that it is a lazy analysis to only talk about defense when picking a series. There are a bunch of different factors and no Dallas didn’t only win because of rebounding.

I will never understand how Ox can say all of that about Luka’s defense, but is blind to it when it comes to Julius Randle
He does have the same exact issues as Luka in that if the game doesn’t go his way for a few possessions on the offensive end or he gets called for a bad foul, he stops giving a complete fuck and complains, messes up rotations and wastes his defensive potential. The only out I’ll give him is he got a lot better with that once OG got there and started holding him accountable. And he’s actually very good when locked in
I have definitely held Julius accountable for his crybaby antics. I was disgusted with him earlier this season for the game when he gave up and was walking around the court pouting like toddler. See the problem with yall is that you ignore when I critique other players but when I critique players you like especially Luka yall act like I committed a hate crime.
What about all season when ripped into D Fox for missing late free throws, for pouting and giving Malik the ball to go stand in a corner and making boneheaded plays like pulling step back 3s in close games

Clingan has higher shoulders/a smaller head than Edey. That’s why his standing reach is the same despite being a little shorter with shorter arms. Kd is another person with a relatively small head/neck with high shoulders, so his reach is probably the same as some guys who are taller than he is.
