Quansheng UV 5R Plus Unboxing - Ham Portable AM FM Two Way Radio Air band ATC Air Traffic, Marine

My first look at this Quansheng UV 5R Plus radio. 2200 mAh battery. Their website is qsfj.com. Lots to learn about how to operate it. Great entry level scanner radio, only £27 / $35 from eBay. It is even cheaper on Banggood apparently.
It can receive NOOA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) weather transmissions (USA only?), but I would like to mention other reviewers said they would not rely on this cheap radio if you are out in the wilderness for NOOA.
The longer antenna I have ordered is called a Na-771 high gain antenna which can improve airband reception. The Press to Talk PTT headset has a Kenwood type plug.

You should install one of the firmware packages
It makes them do so much more.
Also you can transmit on PMR frequencies, some people will argue that its not "type approved" but ive a load of baofengs and Quansheng radios!
