I swapped out the spreadable cream cheese for grated parmesan and added some fresh, chopped spinach. Came out good, but thin. I should have used a smaller pan.

Basically, I did the oats, with a little milk, salt and the two eggs. It comes out light and fluffy. Served with jam and/or maple syrup. So good.

This has become one of my favourite breakfasts. I use a tbsp of grated cheddar instead of cream cheese and serve with chilli flakes, sour cream, tomatoes and avocado

Have to say that there's quite a few negative comments on here! It's actually a great recipe for a healthy breakfast or lunch. A healthy mix of protein, fats and a small amount of slow release carbohydrate. Fine as it is but you could top it with stir fry, chicken, bacon, green leaves etc.
I'm a recovering diabetic and it would certainly fit into my diet!

A little salsa, guacamole (0 carb) with cheddar and scallions and cilantro would be great for a light meal.
Okay. I think I'm officially hooked!!! I commented yesterday already (made with ricotta and parmesian for my cheese), but I made this again today a second time. It fell apart on my today so more like a scramble, and I liked the texture better when it didn't break, but its still delicious. I'm shocked what a nice flavor combo the oats add. I can't wait to try a few variations but I will be eating this for a while!!

I was able to add varity to Diabetic breakfast.. per CDC guidelines, we have to take oat meal and was bored having oatmeal and milk & boiled 1 egg all the time. Thanks for this receipe, again. I modified the amounts for our meal needs and came out good.
Today First Time I made this Diabetes Pancake or Omlet with the following modifications:
Small Blender Cup or Bowl
3 Tablespoon or 20 Grams Oat meals
75 ml Milk
Above Mixture Nutrition
=
(Carbos = 17.875 Grams = (13.5 Oat + 4.375 Milk)
Carbohydrates) & (Proteins = 5.625 Grams = (2.5 Oat + 3.125 Milk) Protein)
Soaked for 2 Minutes
1 Egg Whole
(6 Grams Proteins)
1 Tablespoon Spicy Jalapeno Cream Cheese or Paneer
(1 Gram Carbs + 1.5 Gram Protein)
1 Tablespoon Salsa or Chutney for flavour
0.5 Teaspoon Cumin powder
0.25 Teaspoon Salt
Blended in blender Cup or Mixed well with fork in the bowl
Spread 50% amount on skillet after oiling the skillet.
Cooked on low flame for 1 to 1.5 minutes, till surface is dried out
Turned over and cooked for another 1 to 1.5 minutes
Cooked second one similarly.
There are 2 of them for 1 person.
They look
something in between pancake and omlet.
Tastes fantastic. Thank you.
Served with Monk Fruit (almost 0 Glycemic Index Keto Sugar)-based Maple syrup or Madras style tomato chutney, depending upon how the persons on the table want to eat.
Served with 1 Apple
= 108 grams = 15 Grams Carbohydrate.
Fillers for balanced Breakfast were
2 to 4 Tablespoon Beans depending upon bean size (25 Grams small sized & 50 Grams large sized beans = 15 Grams Carbos worth) & 100 Grams cooked vegetables from previous night. (Small Salad with beans will do)
Above is good for Diabetic woman to complete 30 to 45 Grams Carbohydrate range and 12 grams (1 to 2 Ounces) Proteins.
I served 1 slice Ezakiel 4:9 Bread with butter & cheese And 1 boiled egg for additional 1 ounce proteins to Diabetic Man meal for additional 15 grams Carbohydrate to complete 45 to 60 Grams Carbohydrate range.
Note on Proteins:
For Diabetic woman:
Lunch (2 to 2.5 Ounces Protein or equivalent Meats/Seafoods) & for Dinner (3 to 3.5 Ounces Protein or equivalent Meats/Seafoods, with addition of extra 1 ounce to above range for Diabetic Man,) whereas Carbos remain the same grams for all 3 meals.
We have lost weight as well as managed fasting sugar..
It feels like there is lot more going on than two eggs and some oats ...

Just by looking at the video it seemed to me that a whole spoon was too much. So you confirm my impression. Thanks for the precision. This pancake looks pleasant anyway, and I'll cook it tomorrow, with old fashion oat (as Irish oat, or steel cut oat) : that will give a better result I suppose (more texture) than instant oat.

One should leave the oats in milk more than 2minutes,in fact for 10 mins in warm milk before adding eggs ,and i say this is a great recipe as oats are a good source for better muscles.

If you are cooking oat it doesn't have to be left for too long, only if you are eating raw oat it is advisable to live it a bit longer..

Фигня полная. Этому рецепту 100лет и нащывается овсяноблин! Начинки могут быть разные, и необязательно сразу в тесто, можно и потом сверху класть и свернуть. Таких рецептов миллион на ют! Тоже мне удивила!👎
Я об овсяноблине узнала недавно , в Ютьюбе было видео только яйца овсянка замоченная в кипятке ( бюджетный вариант видимо) , оказывается можно на молоке и ещё сметану добавить , для меня это ново.
