What annoys me most about Liz in this scene is that she fails to recognise Sam as a mother. She goes on about her loss and her grief as a mother as also Tea's but she fails to see that Sam is a MOTHER who has been grieving for a baby. She is sickening!
Not only does she not acknowledge the grief that Sam is currently experiencing as a mother who has lost their child but Sam lost her first child, the baby whose biological father was Sonny but the name on the birth certificate would've been Jason Morgan had the baby lived and it was going to be name after Jason's grandmother and Sam and Jason were going to raise that baby together. Also, Jason spent the first year of Michael's life as his Dad and then stepped aside to the position of Uncle. So Liz, Jason, and Sam all know the loss of a child and don't need to be reminded that it hurts.

So she switched the test results and lied to both about the other having moved on to stop them from stopping their divorce.

I always hated this scene. Last time I checked Sam planned Jake’s kidnapping in 2007. She owned up to it and apologized for it. She spent the next year repenting for her sin and even rescued Jake from the Russians in that burning building. So.... what does she have to do with Luke Spencer(who Elizabeth forgave) killing Jake in a hit & run in 2011? Right after Jake died in the hospital, Sam even went to the PCPD to help Dante figure out who hit Jake. If Sam is such a horrible monster than so are you Elizabeth.
I don't understand why people like them together. They don't fit, she has never accepted his lifestyle she wanted him but only the parts she accepted. I don't know how anyone can deny the chemistry between Jason and Sam.. Plus they have been through so much together through loss and happiness. I know Liz and Jason lost their baby but they we're never right together. But I do love Liz and wish they would find a good man for her.
Aricol Eana I find it interesting how Liz used the « I’ve been slowly going out of my mind » as an excuse for her actions. I do believe it was true that she was having a mental breakdown. She had been heading that way for awhile. But she fails to acknowledge that Sam was also having a mental and emotional breakdown when she watched Jake being kidnapped. She never cuts Sam any slack for her actions, but expects Jason to have compassion for her and forgive her, for what she did. Sam pulled herself out of her breakdown through sheer force of will. Her own action disgusted and appalled her and she knew she had to turn her life around. Liz finally did get som professional help.

Kevin Pham Your view of 2007 is skewed AF. They didn’t have to destroy characters to make Liason work. Uh, yeah, they did and his name was Jason Morgan. If YOU watch Jason from any other year than 2007, you’d see he was acting 100% OOC. So many non JaSam fan but Jason fans HATED him that year because they changed him so drastically & quit watching. Also, Sam was also ruined because it’s OOC for her to watch a kid get kidnapped or hire those gunmen. However, they thought if they made her a bad guy then fans would turn on her and start supporting Liason but it failed as did Liason. The show had to do damage control after all they’d destroyed to prop Liason.
imperfectlypretty You hit the nail right on the head. The only characters acting out of character during the Liason years were Sam and Jason. Elizabeth’s character has not changed since her very first episodes on the show. She was sneaky and deceitful then and she has remained so to this day. I suggest anyone who hasn’t seen them, go back and watch. She was not all bad by any means, but you could definitely see the dark side of her character even back then. I thought with the rape SL they had redeemed her, but they only made her more sympathetic to the fans. Her character did not improve much. Elizabeth could have been so much more if they had gotten rid of the self centered side of her. But that has continued taint her actions. Elizabeth has a lot of good in her. She is hardworking, she can be very kind to people in need, she can be unselfish and she usually tries to do the right thing. That is ,unless it comes between her and something she wants. But to ignore that other side of Elizabeth is to bury your head in the sand. When there is something that Elizabeth really wants, she can be deceitful, manipulative, and ruthless. This has been shown over and over. Elizabeth is not a monster. She wants to be a good person and do the right thing. The problem is she is a selfish, self centered woman who just can’t help herself. What she wants always comes first.
Your child wouldn't have been taken away if you were watching him instead of reading yet another DNA test. Sam also saved your baby from the Russians when you were crying and tearing up a painting. Sam has changed. That's why Jason married her and chose to have kids with her.

She wasn’t watching her kid and as much as she blames Sam, Jake was not her responsibility as she loves rubbing in Sam’s face because he was her kid not Sam’s but she still uses it as justification for her doing something just as despicable. Jason knows Elizabeth. It was actually a bit out of character for her as a nurse to do something so wrong. Even though she was still bitter toward Sam. She allowed her grief, and her need for Jason really cloud her judgement. Her child with Jason was dead, and now Sam might have had his child. Jason had confronted Sam when he found out the truth about what she did. She did not willingly confess anything, just made excuses for it, and blaming Jason. But she got caught! Elizabeth went directly to Jason and confessed everything she did wrong. Big difference.
He got mad at Sam because he loves her. Elizabeth was a friend that’s why he had no real emotional reaction to what she did. He was almost indifferent to her.

Oh yes, Elizabeth uses an excuse of Sam watching her baby be kidnapped. But, had it not been for SAM, Jake would have been dead long time ago. It was SAM that saved Jake, not Jason. Jason went in shooting and caused the blowup. Sam owned up to her mistakes but Elizabeth is like many women, watch the snakes. A coral snake is beautiful but it is DEADLY. Everything Sam and Carly told Jason about Elizabeth has come true and now for once he can see who she really is. You don't hate someone that you loved, but, you love them as friends from afar.

Liason always seemed doomed to fail. And I actually enjoy Liz, when shes not this desperate, weak, and borderline obsessive person she becomes whenever she tries to be with Jason. Try being the operative word since it never works out. And it has never made sense to begin with, just like her adult self being with Lucky. As much as I love Liz and Lucky together, so much of their love is rooted in what they had when they were young. As adults it has been proven it just doesn't work as they are both different people. If Liz wants a bad boy, she should just be with Nikolas. I mean they did sleep with each other before, so it won't raise her number! And I don't think they were given a fair shot, since was engaged to Lucky, then had a breakdown shortly after. Nikolas, like Jason, is dark and mysterious, has that edge that she has convinced herself she needs. Except his edge is more tame and less "shoot 'em up" and more "I'm slightly crazy and come from a certifiably sociopathic bloodline." Besides their craziness is far more compatible with each other's. They both have the same type of desperation and destructive neediness when they want to be with someone they cant have. That clingy quality would probably benefit their relationship. I think that's where this whole Hayden story line will end up anyway. I can see it now. Liz trying to save Nikolas from the deceptive Hayden (since you know she won't be able to keep herself from meddling more than she already has.) and in the process end up falling in love with him.
Oh yes he didn't Robin knew that how much he love Sam including Courteney know Jason never love her the way he love Sam. He felt for hard for her and still is.
Gosh, Becky is just so great. Her and Steve always have genuinely great chemistry. Regardless of how anyone feels about Jasam vs. Liason, I always love to watch Steve with both Becky and Kelly.

She makes the comment about if Sam hadn't done what she did, Jakes life would have been different, but Sam had nothing to do with why Jake died. That was all on Elizabeth (since she's pointing fingers).
The writers have never written Elizabeth as a woman who could stand on her on. her saying, I thought you could fix this" proves that. Her sanity has always been attached to a man which keeps her in the role of a woman with a fragile mental state. They write her as a sweet and kind woman so any time she does something wrong it's a mental break that caused her actions. I think that is why some believe that what Sam did was so much worse than Liz did. I think what both did was equally wrong. Sam has always been written as a strong woman who is a female version of Jason. Therefore it is inconceivable that a strong woman like Sam could ever have a mental break down. The writers have screwed both characters.
Ashley Wilson after Lucky's "death" and Elizabeth and Jason were becoming friends, she was strong and becoming an independent person. She stood her ground and spoke her truths. I believe they were J&E were falling in love. Then tiic had Jason leave and new Lucky come back and tiic started writing her differently. I think now she is becoming some of her old self with Franco and I hope tptb keep her this way.
I hated Elizabeth here Lol! But, I thought bH knocked her scenes out of the park here! I love when we get stories with actors that are so good that you can love themtheir character like Liz or Sam and turn around in the next minute, and hate them with a passion. Sam had her turn, and Elizabeth has too. I think finally, Elizabeth is being redeemed, and I hope she has a good story coming for her.
Sam didn’t contribute to the death of Jake…Elizabeth did, yet she’s still trying to blame Sam. Sam has more than made up for her mistakes in that situation which happened years ago and by the way she was the one who rescued Jake later.

Nikki Lyn The whole Jake was pretended to be Lucky’s to keep him safe from Jason’s mob life was the absolute weakest excuse & lamest story considering the fact that Jason has been in the mob a long time and before Jake, he was going to raise three kids: Michael, Lila, and Hope then the entire time they were together in the two years prior to Jake, Sam & Jason were trying to conceive a baby. So if having Jake raised as Lucky’s was to keep him from the danger of the mob then Elizabeth shouldn’t have told Jason at all. There’s yet another reason why the theory of Jake raised as Lucky’s was to keep from the danger of Jason’s life, when Elizabeth first discovered she was pregnant & didn’t know who the father was, she informed Jason & out of a sense of obligation & doing the right thing, he offered to marry her both times he was told even though he wasn’t doing it because he was in love with her or he wanted to spend his life with her. It was for the kid. Now, having the baby be raised as Lucky’s was so Elizabeth would not come out looking like the pathetic slut she is because her image as the Saint of Port Charles is the most important thing to her. She wanted to be seen as the angel she pretends to be and screw the mobster in secret. The lies, any of her lies, are not for the benefit of anyone but herself.

What was her excuse for lyin and playing games between Lucky and Jason when Lucky came back after the fire, running to Jason with her problem than when Lucky was around treated him like crap. I loved the scene between Liz and Sam when they were stuck in that cabin together during that shoot out with the russians. This was the One Life to Live Storyline. It took me forever to remember this. I read someone call this the last great year of GH, I feel like maybe there was 1-3 other years. This Year was Sensational! The Writing, Performances Great Mix of Characters and Cast. I really don’t think the Writing Team works together anymore.

The delusional heifer actually believes she and Jason actually would’ve stood a chance. They never did. He would’ve realized not long after it wasn’t going to work because Liz couldn’t handle his life. Not only that she literally is admitting her excuse for him not being Jake’s father on paper was BS. If Jason’s life was too dangerous to be Jake’s dad how much safer for him to be Jake’s stepdad and Liz’s husband? It makes no sense. Which for me translates to she wanted Jason from day one and spouted the danger crap hoping Jason would’ve left Sam to have Jake in a “safe” home with his mom and dad.

I have watched this episode over and over because I didn't see it when it happened. I love the fact that Jason for once didn't try to console Elizabeth. The way he stares at her in total disgust. Here he is hurting because he LOVES his wife. For once, I'm so proud of Jason and Sam.
I don't agree with how Liz is now.. she never should have known that Jake is Jason. It would have been a great story line to have them marry and then have his memory come back and be torn between Liz and Sam. The Liz that I've always have been a big fan of is making me cringe now. I'm a big big fan of the old Liason and feel that they were never given a chance. Jason did ask Liz to marry him and she said yes. They were meant to be.
+Kacey Hester - Yes, Jason once loved Liz very much, but, she was consumed with Lucky. The only reason Jason asked her later is because of Jake. I think if they would have married, it wouldn't have lasted because he has always been in love with Sam. Sam does things just by looking at Jason that no woman thus far has ever done. Sam has some weaknesses especially in not believing she is of value, but her heart towards Jason has always been there. Even though she was with Lucky, she has always loved Jason. Other than Lucky and that one night with Rick (big mistake) she hasn't been with anyone else. Not so in Elizabeth's case.
I, too, believe Jason asked Liz to marry him because of his son. He knew she was in a predicament when she got pregnant because she was married to Lucky. Jason has always cared about her but she couldn't handle his life style. That's when he married Courtney. To have access to his son, he would do anything for her or at least try. Remember, he initially wanted to tell Sam but Elizabeth didn't want to share custody so she persuaded him to keep it secret. Now, we can all she what lies do. They hurt innocent people.
I'm a pretty big fan of Elizabeth but that's why I would never want her with Jason. She becomes desperate, needy, and it is pathetic when she's around him and to be perfect honestly, I hear a lot of the time when people compare Jasam and Liason that Elizabeth doesn't fit into Jason's life and She doesn't but what I don't see a lot of is the face that Jason doesn't fit into Elizabeth's life either. Elizabeth wants a life like she had with Lucky before they both screwed it all up. And honestly, she has been trying to replace Lucky with Jason because Lucky is gone but Jason will never be Lucky. I don't want Elizabeth with someone who makes her act this way..someone who makes her lesser than she is. She needs to learn how to be strong on her own. She knew the only way to get Jason to stay with her was to keep the lie about him going.

Israeli Queen First biological kid, yes, but anyone who knows anything about Jason knows that Michael is his first child. He may have given him up but he’s always loved like him like his own child. Also, Courtney was pregnant but lost the baby and again, he might not have been her biological father but in every way that counts, Jason was Lila’s father. If he didn’t love her as his own then he wouldn’t still be grieving her to this day like Sam and unlike Sonny. So, the whole Jake’s his first child is not a very accurate description.

(Lies) this woman always has an excuse for her actions when and if they benefit her.never cared about anyone else’s feelings or who toes she steps on to get what she wants. Now she finally has the kidnapping body posing serial killer man of her Dreams all to herself...👍😉😁
How was it that Sam did what she did and Jason threatened to kill her and yelled at her while in prison, but Elizabeth lies and betrays he kept his cool and never yelled or threatened her. Crazy double standards.
what sam did and what Elizabeth did are very different. sam was heartbroken and in a very bad place because Elizabeth gave Jason something that sam couldn't. a baby. a son, and sam became bitter. Elizabeth just flat out DENIED sam her son. partly because she wanted Jason and partly for revenge. nobody can be truly happy with Elizabeth. she's self destructive and I truly think she hates herself. she's always tryin to tie her happiness to a man. and when she becomes unhappy or discontent she blames whatever man she's with and leaves. she sabotages her relationships which causes lasting effects with those around her. usually sam. (same goes for carly, especially the last part)

sam mcall Jason didn’t go off on Liz for two reasons. 1...He could clearly see how emotionally unstable she had become. Jason’s never been one to kick someone when they’re down. Ripping into Liz at this moment would’ve accomplished nothing. If Jason felt anything for Liz in this moment it was sorrow...and pity. He was sad for her, and the son they had lost, and for the sad, pathetic woman she had become. And 2...Jason honestly just didn’t care enough about Liz or what she had done to be furious with her. All he really cared about in this moment was FINDING SAM’S BABY. The Liz crap paled in comparison. When Sam screwed up all those years ago, Jason reacted with fury because he LOVED HER and she hurt him in a way he never thought possible. No one gets THAT angry if they don’t care. It took a long time...but eventually Jason saw all that had happened back then and realized that HE was the one mostly responsible for Sam’s actions. He knew he had screwed everything up between them. He was the one who shut down. He was the one who lied and kept secrets. He was the one who betrayed Sam’s trust. And since Jason was literally the ONLY person Sam had EVER trusted...or loved...or felt SAFE with...his betrayal pushed her to do things she otherwise NEVER would’ve done. He knew all of that, which was why he could forgive her. And why he reunited with her.

This scene is still heart breaking. However, when Jason sets out to find out something, he stays focused. In addition, Elizabeth could see in Jason's eyes the only thing he wants is the facts of Sam's baby and that HE is still in love with SAM. Both of these women have done some horrible things to one another, but, I must say SAM has always LOVED Jason. And, Jason cares about both of them, however, when he and Sam got back together, he promised to never hurt her again. Sam tried everything to get him to accept the baby and when she needed someone, there was John McBain. Jason blames McBain for his relationship going bad, but, HE is responsible for that. Also, Sam is wrong in telling McBain everything. Get a new friend not another MAN.Ladies, never get involved with a married man period, especially when he is still in love with his wife. Steve Burton is an awesome Jason and I miss him. Both Sam and Elizabeth are excellent actresses, but, when it comes to chemistry at its finest, it is between Sam and Jason. Elizabeth and Lucky had that same chemistry.

Had to come back and watch this, b/c the thing I hate most about the current story line is the remorseless selfishness!! I remember thinking back when this aired at least they gave us the opportunity (along with Jason) to truly pity Liz and her recklessly selfish behavior. Her son had died and she had twisted all her feelings for baby Jake up with her feelings for Jason, so we could kinda feel sorry for her and hope she found a really good shrink or something. Rebecca Herbst is spectacular, no debate. But how they've been writing her has been awful lately. I've always wanted Liz and Jason to be together, but their characters don't match as well as they use to. The best time for their relationship, was back in the 01-03 saga. You know, back when Jason had some personality, 'cos he's gotten stoic and indifferent in age.
How can he forgive her! He's going to forgive her! And Liz asking Jason to be kind as he takes away a baby that was there because she wanted Jason, again. Until she grew tired of him, again, and found another man! ............Words fail me!
Every time I watch this, I get so mad. Yeah, it's in the past now, but the way Jason treated Sam after finding out she had something to do with Jake being kidnapped. He treated her like she was nothing, threatening to kill her, if she came near Liz and her kids again. But here, he calmly listen to Liz go on and on about what and why she did what she did. Unbelievable.
This is actually a really great scene for both of them Who's wedding were they about to attend? You can see in Jason's eyes that something he has felt for Liz forever just died here.

What annoys me most about Liz in this scene is that she fails to recognise Sam as a mother. She goes on about her loss and her grief as a mother as also Tea's but she fails to see that Sam is a MOTHER who has been grieving for a baby. She is sickening!
Not only does she not acknowledge the grief that Sam is currently experiencing as a mother who has lost their child but Sam lost her first child, the baby whose biological father was Sonny but the name on the birth certificate would've been Jason Morgan had the baby lived and it was going to be name after Jason's grandmother and Sam and Jason were going to raise that baby together. Also, Jason spent the first year of Michael's life as his Dad and then stepped aside to the position of Uncle. So Liz, Jason, and Sam all know the loss of a child and don't need to be reminded that it hurts.

I always hated this scene. Last time I checked Sam planned Jake’s kidnapping in 2007. She owned up to it and apologized for it. She spent the next year repenting for her sin and even rescued Jake from the Russians in that burning building. So.... what does she have to do with Luke Spencer(who Elizabeth forgave) killing Jake in a hit & run in 2011? Right after Jake died in the hospital, Sam even went to the PCPD to help Dante figure out who hit Jake. If Sam is such a horrible monster than so are you Elizabeth.
I don't understand why people like them together. They don't fit, she has never accepted his lifestyle she wanted him but only the parts she accepted. I don't know how anyone can deny the chemistry between Jason and Sam.. Plus they have been through so much together through loss and happiness. I know Liz and Jason lost their baby but they we're never right together. But I do love Liz and wish they would find a good man for her.

I find it interesting how Liz used the « I’ve been slowly going out of my mind » as an excuse for her actions. I do believe it was true that she was having a mental breakdown. She had been heading that way for awhile.
But she fails to acknowledge that Sam was also having a mental and emotional breakdown when she watched Jake being kidnapped.
She never cuts Sam any slack for her actions, but expects Jason to have compassion for her and forgive her, for what she did.
Sam pulled herself out of her breakdown through sheer force of will. Her own action disgusted and appalled her and she knew she had to turn her life around.
Liz finally did get som professional help.

Kevin Pham Your view of 2007 is skewed AF. They didn’t have to destroy characters to make Liason work. Uh, yeah, they did and his name was Jason Morgan. If YOU watch Jason from any other year than 2007, you’d see he was acting 100% OOC. So many non JaSam fan but Jason fans HATED him that year because they changed him so drastically & quit watching. Also, Sam was also ruined because it’s OOC for her to watch a kid get kidnapped or hire those gunmen. However, they thought if they made her a bad guy then fans would turn on her and start supporting Liason but it failed as did Liason. The show had to do damage control after all they’d destroyed to prop Liason.
imperfectlypretty You hit the nail right on the head. The only characters acting out of character during the Liason years were Sam and Jason. Elizabeth’s character has not changed since her very first episodes on the show.
She was sneaky and deceitful then and she has remained so to this day. I suggest anyone who hasn’t seen them, go back and watch. She was not all bad by any means, but you could definitely see the dark side of her character even back then.
I thought with the rape SL they had redeemed her, but they only made her more sympathetic to the fans. Her character did not improve much.
Elizabeth could have been so much more if they had gotten rid of the self centered side of her. But that has continued taint her actions.
Elizabeth has a lot of good in her. She is hardworking, she can be very kind to people in need, she can be unselfish and she usually tries to do the right thing. That is ,unless it comes between her and something she wants.
But to ignore that other side of Elizabeth is to bury your head in the sand. When there is something that Elizabeth really wants, she can be deceitful, manipulative, and ruthless. This has been shown over and over.
Elizabeth is not a monster. She wants to be a good person and do the right thing. The problem is she is a selfish, self centered woman who just can’t help herself. What she wants always comes first.

Jason had confronted Sam when he found out the truth about what she did. She did not willingly confess anything, just made excuses for it, and blaming Jason. But she got caught! Elizabeth went directly to Jason and confessed everything she did wrong. Big difference.

Oh yes, Elizabeth uses an excuse of Sam watching her baby be kidnapped. But, had it not been for SAM, Jake would have been dead long time ago. It was SAM that saved Jake, not Jason. Liason always seemed doomed to fail. And I actually enjoy Liz, when shes not this desperate, weak, and borderline obsessive person she becomes whenever she tries to be with Jason. Try being the operative word since it never works out. And it has never made sense to begin with, just like her adult self being with Lucky. As much as I love Liz and Lucky together, so much of their love is rooted in what they had when they were young. As adults it has been proven it just doesn't work as they are both different people. If Liz wants a bad boy, she should just be with Nikolas. I mean they did sleep with each other before, so it won't raise her number! And I don't think they were given a fair shot, since was engaged to Lucky, then had a breakdown shortly after. Nikolas, like Jason, is dark and mysterious, has that edge that she has convinced herself she needs. Except his edge is more tame and less "shoot 'em up" and more "I'm slightly crazy and come from a certifiably sociopathic bloodline." Besides their craziness is far more compatible with each other's. They both have the same type of desperation and destructive neediness when they want to be with someone they cant have. That clingy quality would probably benefit their relationship. I think that's where this whole Hayden story line will end up anyway. I can see it now. Liz trying to save Nikolas from the deceptive Hayden (since you know she won't be able to keep herself from meddling more than she already has.) and in the process end up falling in love with him.

The writers have never written Elizabeth as a woman who could stand on her on. her saying, I thought you could fix this" proves that. Her sanity has always been attached to a man which keeps her in the role of a woman with a fragile mental state. They write her as a sweet and kind woman so any time she does something wrong it's a mental break that caused her actions. I think that is why some believe that what Sam did was so much worse than Liz did. I think what both did was equally wrong. Sam has always been written as a strong woman who is a female version of Jason. Therefore it is inconceivable that a strong woman like Sam could ever have a mental break down. The writers have screwed both characters.
Ashley Wilson after Lucky's "death" and Elizabeth and Jason were becoming friends, she was strong and becoming an independent person. She stood her ground and spoke her truths. I believe they were J&E were falling in love. Then tiic had Jason leave and new Lucky come back and tiic started writing her differently. I think now she is becoming some of her old self with Franco and I hope tptb keep her this way.
I hated Elizabeth here Lol! But, I thought bH knocked her scenes out of the park here! I love when we get stories with actors that are so good that you can love themtheir character like Liz or Sam and turn around in the next minute, and hate them with a passion. Nikki Lyn The whole Jake was pretended to be Lucky’s to keep him safe from Jason’s mob life was the absolute weakest excuse & lamest story considering the fact that Jason has been in the mob a long time and before Jake, he was going to raise three kids: Michael, Lila, and Hope then the entire time they were together in the two years prior to Jake, Sam & Jason were trying to conceive a baby.
So if having Jake raised as Lucky’s was to keep him from the danger of the mob then Elizabeth shouldn’t have told Jason at all.
There’s yet another reason why the theory of Jake raised as Lucky’s was to keep from the danger of Jason’s life, when Elizabeth first discovered she was pregnant & didn’t know who the father was, she informed Jason & out of a sense of obligation & doing the right thing, he offered to marry her both times he was told even though he wasn’t doing it because he was in love with her or he wanted to spend his life with her. It was for the kid.
Now, having the baby be raised as Lucky’s was so Elizabeth would not come out looking like the pathetic slut she is because her image as the Saint of Port Charles is the most important thing to her. She wanted to be seen as the angel she pretends to be and screw the mobster in secret.

You know, I've sat here reading comment after comment about how pathetic LIZ is and how trashy SAM was but you made an absolutely great point. I loved the scene between Liz and Sam when they were stuck in that cabin together during that shoot out with the russians. I may not be a Liz fan but her having Sam's back when that guy had the jump on her was great. I feel like their friendship was a missed opportunity.

The delusional heifer actually believes she and Jason actually would’ve stood a chance. They never did. He would’ve realized not long after it wasn’t going to work because Liz couldn’t handle his life. Not only that she literally is admitting her excuse for him not being Jake’s father on paper was BS. If Jason’s life was too dangerous to be Jake’s dad how much safer for him to be Jake’s stepdad and Liz’s husband? It makes no sense. Which for me translates to she wanted Jason from day one and spouted the danger crap hoping Jason would’ve left Sam to have Jake in a “safe” home with his mom and dad.

I have watched this episode over and over because I didn't see it when it happened. I love the fact that Jason for once didn't try to console Elizabeth. The way he stares at her in total disgust. Here he is hurting because he LOVES his wife. For once, I'm so proud of Jason and Sam.

+Kacey Hester - Yes, Jason once loved Liz very much, but, she was consumed with Lucky. The only reason Jason asked her later is because of Jake. I think if they would have married, it wouldn't have lasted because he has always been in love with Sam. Sam does things just by looking at Jason that no woman thus far has ever done. Sam has some weaknesses especially in not believing she is of value, but her heart towards Jason has always been there. Even though she was with Lucky, she has always loved Jason. Other than Lucky and that one night with Rick (big mistake) she hasn't been with anyone else. Not so in Elizabeth's case.
I, too, believe Jason asked Liz to marry him because of his son. He knew she was in a predicament when she got pregnant because she was married to Lucky. Jason has always cared about her but she couldn't handle his life style. That's when he married Courtney. To have access to his son, he would do anything for her or at least try. Remember, he initially wanted to tell Sam but Elizabeth didn't want to share custody so she persuaded him to keep it secret. Now, we can all she what lies do. They hurt innocent people.
I'm a pretty big fan of Elizabeth but that's why I would never want her with Jason. She becomes desperate, needy, and it is pathetic when she's around him and to be perfect honestly, I hear a lot of the time when people compare Jasam and Liason that Elizabeth doesn't fit into Jason's life and She doesn't but what I don't see a lot of is the face that Jason doesn't fit into Elizabeth's life either. Elizabeth wants a life like she had with Lucky before they both screwed it all up. And honestly, she has been trying to replace Lucky with Jason because Lucky is gone but Jason will never be Lucky. I don't want Elizabeth with someone who makes her act this way..someone who makes her lesser than she is. She needs to learn how to be strong on her own. She knew the only way to get Jason to stay with her was to keep the lie about him going.

what sam did and what Elizabeth did are very different. sam was heartbroken and in a very bad place because Elizabeth gave Jason something that sam couldn't. a baby. a son, and sam became bitter. Elizabeth just flat out DENIED sam her son. partly because she wanted Jason and partly for revenge. nobody can be truly happy with Elizabeth. she's self destructive and I truly think she hates herself. she's always tryin to tie her happiness to a man. and when she becomes unhappy or discontent she blames whatever man she's with and leaves. she sabotages her relationships which causes lasting effects with those around her. usually sam. sam mcall Jason didn’t go off on Liz for two reasons. 1...He could clearly see how emotionally unstable she had become. Jason’s never been one to kick someone when they’re down. Ripping into Liz at this moment would’ve accomplished nothing. If Jason felt anything for Liz in this moment it was sorrow...and pity. He was sad for her, and the son they had lost, and for the sad, pathetic woman she had become.
And 2...Jason honestly just didn’t care enough about Liz or what she had done to be furious with her. All he really cared about in this moment was FINDING SAM’S BABY. The Liz crap paled in comparison. When Sam screwed up all those years ago, Jason reacted with fury because he LOVED HER and she hurt him in a way he never thought possible. No one gets THAT angry if they don’t care. It took a long time...but eventually Jason saw all that had happened back then and realized that HE was the one mostly responsible for Sam’s actions. He knew he had screwed everything up between them. He was the one who shut down. He was the one who lied and kept secrets. He was the one who betrayed Sam’s trust. And since Jason was literally the ONLY person Sam had EVER trusted...or loved...or felt SAFE with...his betrayal pushed her to do things she otherwise NEVER would’ve done. He knew all of that, which was why he could forgive her. And why he reunited with her.

I hate Elizabeth. I HATE HER!!! That said RH as an actress did an outstanding job in this scene. I am a huge jasam fan I love them as a couple and can't wait til they're back but... I believe everything liz said to be true. I know everyone's saying the jake throwback is bullshit cuz she forgave Sam years ago but really could that ever really truly be forgiven? A part of her did do it as payback she's aware of it that's why when Jason asked if it was revenge she said she didn't know maybe. Hell ya it was and I'd do the same you ever fuck with my kid. And then she admits she knew the baby would bring them back and she didn't want them together she wanted him for herself. Finally she admits that she's lost her mind (I would too cheating with brothers, all them baby daddies and u still don't have anyone oh ya and one of your kids dies) I think Jason response is perfect. I don't think he was angry with her sure maybe a little but I think he was just realizing the women standing infront of him was truly broken so as angry as he may have wanted to be he didn't want to kick a dog when it's down. I think he understood why she did the things she did but this time he couldn't comfortable cuz she's gone too far.

This scene is still heart breaking. However, when Jason sets out to find out something, he stays focused. In addition, Elizabeth could see in Jason's eyes the only thing he wants is the facts of Sam's baby and that HE is still in love with SAM. Both of these women have done some horrible things to one another, but, I must say SAM has always LOVED Jason. And, Jason cares about both of them, however, when he and Sam got back together, he promised to never hurt her again. Sam tried everything to get him to accept the baby and when she needed someone, there was John McBain. Jason blames McBain for his relationship going bad, but, HE is responsible for that. Also, Sam is wrong in telling McBain everything. Get a new friend not another MAN.Ladies, never get involved with a married man period, especially when he is still in love with his wife. Steve Burton is an awesome Jason and I miss him. Both Sam and Elizabeth are excellent actresses, but, when it comes to chemistry at its finest, it is between Sam and Jason. Elizabeth and Lucky had that same chemistry.
This is the most genuinely impressed I've ever been with becky's acting.

Had to come back and watch this, b/c the thing I hate most about the current story line is the remorseless selfishness!! I remember thinking back when this aired at least they gave us the opportunity (along with Jason) to truly pity Liz and her recklessly selfish behavior. Her son had died and she had twisted all her feelings for baby Jake up with her feelings for Jason, so we could kinda feel sorry for her and hope she found a really good shrink or something. But NOW she's just being a completely unapologetic, utterly self-serving, friend-betraying SOCIOPATH!! In a word it's unforgivable.
It was unforgivable when she let Sam believe her baby was dead and by default let a woman fall in love with a baby that wasn’t hers.

Elizabeth Marquis exactly preach on what Elizabeth did and she Sam did are separate things. Yes Sam should of acted on seeing the woman try to take jake and not hire the actors that was terrible however when it mattered she saved jake from his kidnappers and risked her life. Liz purposely stole valuable moments of Sam and Jason and Danny that is despicable on every level and there is no excuse to why she did it

These are actors who act out the scripts the writers give them.
Elizabeth and Sam are friends now and they both done their dirt and they've both moved on and Jason is no innocent. He's literally a killer.

This was painful to watch! I was really hoping that Liz and Jason would finally be together before he leaves, but I guess that is not happening.
Rebecca Herbst is spectacular, no debate. But how they've been writing her has been awful lately. I've always wanted Liz and Jason to be together, but their characters don't match as well as they use to. The best time for their relationship, was back in the 01-03 saga. You know, back when Jason had some personality, 'cos he's gotten stoic and indifferent in age.

Every time I watch this, I get so mad. Yeah, it's in the past now, but the way Jason treated Sam after finding out she had something to do with Jake being kidnapped. He treated her like she was nothing, threatening to kill her, if she came near Liz and her kids again. But here, he calmly listen to Liz go on and on about what and why she did what she did. Unbelievable.

This is actually a really great scene for both of them Who's wedding were they about to attend? You can see in Jason's eyes that something he has felt for Liz forever just died here.
