I guess we really didn't know where he was from, dawg ❤
Not the time for that. Although it’s a funny comment
It’s somthing to lighten the mood 😢❤
@@mohammeduddin6369nah man, you're OK for making the comment 👍🏾
@kingray3139 his sister didnt pass just now.. i think its a good joke a often jokes can help turn suffering into happiness
@@ikbenvoetbalI know that.
Clint was the greatest USMNT player ever. He didn't wimp out and leave Europe.
Nah. Tim Howard is.
@@SaintDomingo1 Goalkeepers don't count.

"But im at peace" fkn beautiful after the trenches life is beautiful and peaceful. respect to Clint.
There is something about Clint Dempsey that makes him instantly likable. I guess it’s his honesty and ability to talk without pretense.
I would say he was the best player the US has ever had when you look at technically he was the first US born and raised to make it overseas. Like he didn't go to a academy in Europe or has one parent that is a US citizen. He came from college to MLS to Europe and the premier League and played alongside bale and modric. And he was a true dawg and poacher in front of goal.
I agree, he wasn’t like these other guys that are playing for the U.S. now, not hating on them at all. I’m just simply saying Dempsey was All American bred.
I was at the Spurs vs Man Utd game at White Hart Lane where Clint got a last minute equalizer. From this interview he sounds like a top man as well as a top footballer.
He scored a bloody chip vs Juventus props to my man Clint Dempsey COYW. He stayed outside Craven Cottage in 2011 when he signed my programme in his car, I remember that when I was outside CC Car Park He didn't have to do that. One of my best memories I swear down
you dont know where i am from dawg
he didn't play with Modric but i agree
This show is keepin it real level 3000 👏
Kate really kept her composure and followed up with a GREAT questions. Everyone else (including me) was struggling. Nice job to everyone there. Tough, but outstanding interview. Great job guys.
I agree, it was a very raw interview there. You could feel it in the quietness after Clint's responses.
Dr. Abdo is about pick up some Emmys with this series.
She really navigated that part of the interview excellently.
Why is it always seen as a waking when someone famous does thier job lol.
I like them all so much!
Just emotional 🫶🏼
Clint was so underrated throughout his career. You always felt like you had a chance with Dempsey on the pitch. He played so hard and he had the talent and charisma to back it up. 50 plus goals in the premier league for a club is big time. Maybe not the top but a damn good career.
Lol no he was just an average pl player 😂
@@willwrite3675 he finished top five in the premier league in scoring one year, he’s one of Fulhams all time leading scorers, and he’s the US men’s national team all time leading scorer. Must be crazy living in your world of delusion 😂😂😂
@@Trizzy67what did top five win him?
@@rob5249 By that logic, Kane isn't a top player.
He was BELOW average
People saying underrated in PL don’t know football. Not gonna say more
Anger in the right situation gives you motivation and focus. In sports and in life. But don’t let it consume you .
God bless.
💯💯💯💯
4 people, gone from peers, to colleagues, to friends, just having real conversation and letting the rest of us in on it. Thank you for that. I'm an Arsenal fan, I was a kid during the Bergkamp and Henry years, I came for to hear Henry talk, I stayed for the rest of these wonderful people.
A lot of people never talk about how anger makes your energy concentrated and incremented. If used correctly, it could be a powerful tool to use. It is sad that people demonize anger. It should be controlled and honed to our goals instead of demonized.
Well said
Omgsh Kate. She’s probably one of the best presenters out there and a great journalist. We first witnessed her doing boxing and she knows her stuff. But this was well done. Thanks Clint for opening up. Was a such a great player!
Seems like such a chill dude. Sorry for your loss if you see this message Clint. ❤️
As a Mexican American I never supported the USMNT and don't to this day but I always rooted for these guys to have success in their careers. It was a pleasure to watch Clint in the Prem. Delivered some good years.
Just crazy how this dynamic works to this day still lol.
I love you guys 🙏🏾💯. So sorry for your loss Clint 🙏🏾
I lost my sister last year and when you're close to someone like that (as Clint obviously was to his sibling), it's hard to communicate the magnitude of losing that person to those who haven't been in that position themselves. And speaking from experience, you really hope that they never do have to deal with it, as it has a seriously profound effect on you that you can never get over and you just learn to cope with. But it does make you appreciate things and see the world in a different light. Respect to Clint for opening up in front of the cameras. I'm not sure I could show myself to be so vulnerable to the world like he did.
Big respect to Deuce and props to Thiery for validating him. Love CD9 too...Warriors, smart role models, and great men. I will always remember the great things you all have done on the pitch on off of it. Cheers
As an Englishman Clint was top level in the Premier League, I have even more respect for him now after watching this 🇺🇸🇬🇧
We didn't hear Henry's comments on playing angry but hearing Deuce agree with that in his own way makes a ton of sense and if you heard him talk about growing up playing with Latino men and how he learned to play through physical play and some dirty stuff that comes with it. Explains a lot about his attitude and aggressive play as well as how to play in that type of environment. So he got there a different way through experiences and loss. Dem Texas Boys!
Big him up. God will continue give you strength bro.
When I lost my boyfriend 4 years ago, I was so angry. I was angry all the time. But it made me do things I would have never done before. I can totally relate. Forgiving myself as well. Thank you for that.
Must have been so hard for clint to live with this and also open up about it during this interview. Kate and thierry come across great in it too, both showing they can do a more serious interview as opposed to joking around in the studio
Do you speak French? If you do, try to watch interviews with Henry (some interviews have english subs if you don't). Because in those he is often so insightful. I don't agree with him all the time, but it doesn't matter at all. This man is so smart. It's a pure joy for the brain to listen to him. Pretty incredible human being.
I remember being a teenager watching Clint smash it for Fulham. Would of had him at Liverpool back then no problem he was quality
Damm the feels 😢
Clint you smashed it bro...made it alot further than most of us!💪🏽
Bond with your sister is the most powerful bond.
I ain’t American or a USMNT fan at all but Clint Dempsey is my fave of any player that has ever played for the US. So much grit and determination along with a bunch of ferocity. Also he’s a Texas boy. Reminds me of a couple kids I grew up with super cool and nice but strong and determined when it came to competing.
The show is way more than football!! 🙏🏼💪🏼⚽️
soccer
respect him please say soccer...
Those show is way more than soccer!! 🙏🏼💪🏼⚽️
Kate abdo is one of if not the greatest sports journalist.. she's funny but knows when and right time to ask questions, and she's vulnerable at the same time... I'm a boxing nut and we miss her in boxing.. come back Kate 😂😂, but with all do seriousness this interview had and still has me in tears.. rest easy Clints sister, ur brother sure did come through for u, ur family and USA...
Thank you for sharing Clint! My condolences to your family on the loss of your sister. I'm glad you are now at Peace.❤
Ive lost someone very, very dear to me this year. This really helped me out. I know he will never see this, but i really want to thank Clint for opening up about this. Even if it was for him, thank you.
Who is cutting dry onions?😔
This is very emotional fr
Clint is the great USMNT. Period. But this clip makes him one of the greatest players to play the game. Greatness is not just Messi level skill - it’s also character. Henry why players like Gennaro Gattuso and Simone Kjaer will be remembered forever.
ugh. crying. this is so good. So human. Props to clint -sorry he had to go though that.
Clint Dempsey is my motivation man
What a hero he is❤
That's a beautiful and real moment
@Client always loved your swag and chip on your shoulder man. I remember being excited to see what you did on the pitch whenever Fulham had a game back in the day. Thanks for sharing about your past bro
Clint was a great player used to like watching him play respect for him opening up about deep topic of conversation
I am not crying I just got my eyes wet
We have a lot of love for these players but we only know them from the pitch. I appreciate when they open up and give us a little more insight into who they are, and what motivated them. And I love that he loved her so much.
Came across this clip and have to say, i love the team that CBS sports. Im a Liverpool fan and back in the day Clint Dempsey was Fulham. I dont know how they see him but he should be remembered as a club legend. Criminally underrated. I remember a time when Nike was pushing Freddy Adu as the next Pele lol, but you had Landon Donavan and Clint Dempsey who were humble and in the trenches getting it. Mad respect for him opening up like that.
Good guy and good player
One of my favourite players for sure always think of good things on the pitch and the attitude when it comes to CD. He was that guy you want on your team to ignite something out of nothing and he didn’t let anyone intimidate him
The realest show that's ever been. For real.
That was tough mad love your way Clint !! He's consider one of the US soccer originals !!!
Clint is a legend in my book!
clint was a great player im sorry that he lost his sister she will always be with you
Wow!just wow!never knew all of this.never disrespecting him again,ever!
Yeah , you done more than OK Clint … hope you find your solace , had a tear in my eye listening to that … Respect you even more now .. 👍
We love ya Clint ❤
oh what a player Clint was . one of if not the best to come out of the USA
You forget that these guys are human sometimes, sorry for your loss Clint
love this guy

Much love to Clint--favorite USMNT player!
Love you Clint COYS 💙
Sorry brother
No debate here, Dempsey is and will forever be the USMNTGOAT!!! His journey has been amazing and I know his sister is super proud of him!!!!
Didnt expect such a deep talk from this group. 😮
God bless em
gotta keep in touch with family. you never know when they won't be there anymore.
Whew, this is heavy.
I feeling your pain Clint 😢,I was on the same situation as well 😢😢😢😢
THATS WHY THE PRIMER LEAGUE IS SO SPECIAL DUE TO PEOPLES STORIES AND LOT OF PEOPLE CAN LEARN FROM THESE ATHLETES DUE TO THEIR OWN LIVES AND IT HOW STRONG THEY ARE EVEN THIER STRUGGLES ARE REAL AND NO MONEY CANNOT BUY THEIR LIVES ❤️
CLINT IS A BALLER, HE KNOWS BALL AND REAL FOOTBALL FANS KNOW THAT AND RESPECT HIM SINCE EVER!!
Im a Mexican fan, but a supporter of the Seattle Sounders. Client is our hero
It's a shame we don't have Dempsey anymore for the US team, you always felt like with him on the pitch and other players like Altidore that you could do something, even if they weren't in form or good.
men's talk r very vital to share ups and downs w some1, like that talk
Damn Feel you Clint
Awesome content, boys getting real
THE DUECE
Clint Dempsey scored one of the best goals in football history! Sent his club to a European final. Had the Cottage rockin’ that night.
Actually this was the quarters but still a magical goal. Jon Champion and Craig Burley with the call as well. Also cool
I ain't no Mr Dempsey but I lost my big brother and when you see a grown man playing with his beard too much when asked a question! It's really rough and real loss .. I still can't talk about my big brother without breaking down... U a real one clint Dempsey
Lovely ❤
That last line!! 😂😂🙏🙏
Best usa soccer player for sua
R.I.P
very sad
Felt like TT was in an awkward position, in my opinion. And what on earth is PD on about with the undervaluation of his achievements?! He's a legend of the game in the US, and he inspired thousands to love the game of football.
We need more American athletes like Clint. He is a real one, no doubt about it
Never forget you don't know where he's from
I find it fascinating that Clint feels like he probably left something still on the table, in terms of not having top level coaching, which is the problem in a budding soccer culture like her win the US
❤❤❤
feel bad for the guy he does not sound at peace despite what he says
When it comes to death no money man has answers
Love, we all need a should to lean on.
Argu with my mom on a Friday and just hung up....... the day after I turned the machine off (she got a huge stroke Friday evening) still to this day I regret my choice .......... this was 2012
♥️
I do respect Clint's humbleness saying he might not be the best USMNT player ever. Him and Landon are tied for that. Pulisic could become the best.
The most underrated player in history
You don’t know where I am from dawg 😢😢😢😢
As a Mexican fan I always never completely liked any of the usmnt players. But I can’t lie him and Donovan where very good. I think Clint is the Yankee-Cuahtecmoc Blanco😅
Clint got it out the mud and didn't have a ton of money to make it like most American players do, and he is still the best, most consistent player the USA ever had for a male player. It's a shame that colleges and youth teams aren't looking in rural and low income areas to recruit its players more often. Maria, Sanchez, the highest paid NWSL right now player never spent a second in an academy either. Hopefully 2026 really unleashes a way of change so that diamonds in the rough like Clint and Maria Sanchez.
Interesting to see when men try to maintain a hard exterior and then you see Henry look away from Clint because he knows he's going to cry.
That thumbnail doesn't do Clint any justice.
The disrespect towards Tim Howard is insane here
This is a really heart warming story. Well done Clint! But where did Katie get her American twang from all of a sudden?!!!
He was good player in the Premier league. What happened to his sister. That sucks, losing a sibling.
When she was 16, she passed away from a sudden brain aneurysm which is a very terrifying thing to encounter. This was back in the late 80s-early 90s i think.
@@anthonylong9067From what I recall from hearing about this over a decade ago, I think it was 1995 so Clint would've been about 12.
What happened to his sister?
brain aneurysm. she was only 16.
