    Perhaps not as influential as The Beatles but to me one of the best bands ever and still capable of creating fabulous music. I bought Crocodiles 'on spec' never having heard a track before, it just looked like it would be good...

      Tough call - Tim Buckley (the best, for me), Nick Drake, Joan Armatrading, Subway Sect, Banshees, Wire ‘79 (Crazy About Love), The Fall (Sept ‘80), Sudden Sway, The Smiths three in 1983, Wedding Present 1st session, PJ Harvey 1st, etc.

      U2 backed up Bunnymen at the Lyceum I was there...Bono prance up and down the stacks.....then out of the dry ice emerged the coolest most magnificent sound the Bunnymen blew U2 completely off stage...U2 broke up in the dressing room....it took the manager months to get them back together...they left for the U.S. to learn how to play

    • @ranxerox5310
      @ranxerox5310 Před 3 lety +1

      No doubt its U2 was influenced by Echo & the B. Ocean Rain came out May 1984 and U2 realized they had to redo everything. Lo and behold out comes Unforgettable Fire in October of the same year. Both great albums but Unforgettable Fire was Ocean Rain rip off right down to the orchestration.
