This deck is amazing, I've always wanted to make that artifact do something. It hadn't occurred to me that with Skyclave Shade there might now be enough decent creatures to make it viable.
Some ideas for Best of 3 sideboard:
Sorcerous Spyglass
- For hosing Planes Walker decks, colorless Ugin and Paradox Engine decks, and Emry lurker of the lock combo decks.
Leyline of the Void
- For hosing other people's graveyard decks while keeping yours intact
Thought Seize
- For hosing tempo and blue/white control
Rotting Regisaur + Demonic Embrace
- Possible package that hoses control and midrange decks that want to play longer games. Regisaur discard doesn't really hurt this deck that much since most of the things can be easily recovered from the graveyard anyways. Embrace gives more power and recurring evasion against control decks that might have 1 or 2 small blockers in their deck.
Bastion of Remembrance
- One more possibility for playing against decks running primarily wrath of god.
Those are some great ideas! I didn't bother making a sideboard since the deck gets hosed like crazy by graveyard hate. But I'd fore sure include the other two copies of Spark Harvest as well to fight walkers and bigger creatures.
Regisaur/Embrace would be fantastic for more punch in the midgame
Aha awesome, I was playing that too at the start of the arena, as a tribal zombie self-mill reanimator with the liliana M19 to revive all the zombies, supernatural vigor and the land that goes back up the artifacts to recover the bat generator. But it was standard so it was slower at the time. Thank you for bringing it up to date 😁
Yeah I always thought there must be a deck like this somewhere in the Historic card pool. But Skyclave Shade and Scrapheap Scrounger made it into a real deck

I play these sorts of decks all the time, though I usually have lots more trigger conditions, so fun. Definitely has its bad matchups, but eh it’s fun to use chum blocks and not even care because I was going to sac them anyway for all those triggers
Now there's two of us - I'm also writing my master thesis starting tomorow until end of january - topic: Cyberbullying!

It does! it also works with Kroxa and Uro. If you cut Agadeem's Awakening you can play Jenganta as a companion and splash red for Kroxa. But then again, the deck is just way more consistent in mono black.

Thank you! I study Communication Design. My thesis is about content creation and different platforms to promote it on (like Reddit, CZcams, Twitter)
I have to say as I've watched these videos the animations are absolutely golden. However, the game commentary is great as well. If you had to cut out a lot of the back end work (animation, deck creation, articles, etc.) the channel would still be good. Perhaps a manageable mix of low and high effort content is in order. Whatever happens I do hope to see the channel continue.

@@BrewersKitchen most channels do a “dunkview” aka highly edited and then also “long plays”. Your standards are very high but with a channel so small, daily uploads are more important for the CZcams algorithm. I’d go more long plays and once you get a sizable following then you can focus again on your high quality content which I love
@@somefishhere Yeah I know but I just can't help myself with the edits. I will just try to force CZcams to respect my channel one day. Tbh I am cheating the system a bit with the animations. Without the traffic from Reddit and Twitter, nobody would know about this channel

How do you make the decktech edits? Are they all manual layouts or do you have templates
For the whole decklist I sceenshot Aetherhub and crop it out. The individual cards are edited manually. If I get to keep the channel going after this month I will try to make a template to improve my workflow
