It feels so good to see the Rangers fighting in the Commonwealth. As much as I prefer the BoS over the NCR, I definitely loved New Vegas and tried my damnedest to get the two to work together.

+Cosmic Contrarian I don't mean to be a jerk or anything but couldn't you have Givin them service rifles (there's a mod), lever actions, revolvers etc weapons that make a little more sense?
Things don't have to make sense for them to work.
I chose plasma weapons because it was a night battle and I wanted it to be clear where the fire was coming from at all times. Bullets don't shine quite the way I want them to.
If you look back on all the previous battle comment sections, you'll notice that no matter what I do I receive legions of requests in the form of "you should do this" or "you should have done this differently". Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong. No matter what you do, you will NEVER and i mean NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER please everyone with what you produced 100%.
My response to all of those requests is that I must be doing a hell of a lot of things right if their biggest complaint is the type of weapon I gave an NPC. At this point I take it as a compliment. :)

If it wasn't for the airstrikes the BOS would have won in my opinion. They have a stronger damage resistance from power armor but then again NCR had plasma weapons so idk.
Just about every "BoS v whatever" they always in the end have Liberty prime which means BoS ain't shit without it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If the NCR were going by canon, they would be a lot less equip but there would be a lot more of NCR by at least 20 times the number of the BoS.

+Csfranklin Size matters only for so long, if you don't have the right equipment to take on an army like BOS you can't defeat them with just conventional weapons. That's like 50 settlers going against 20 NCR troopers. Obviously the NCR will win because they are better equipped even though settlers have the numbers.
+Csfranklin this is east coast brotherhood who has bolstering ranks because they let outsiders in if the west could do it for a sizeable amount of time with way less troops then the east should have ease

There are so many ruined shots where there are dead NCR Rangers rotating inside the ground and up into the air that I had to cut out of the video. It is funny as hell when it happens but pissed me off when recording because it meant I'd not be able to use the shot because it breaks immersion. I left a couple in as easter eggs of sorts that won't break immersion fully and won't always be spotted unless you have a keen eye. ;)

Patrolling the -Mojave- Commonwealth almost makes you wish for nuclear winter.
Although I hate adding to fanboy-ish arguments I think in an actual war the NCR would dominate for a few reason. The first being that they have control over literally 1/3 of the country and have nearly reverted it to it's pre-war self and filled it with bases/forts while the East Coast Brootherhood have an airport, the Prydwen, the Citadel, and a police station. Second numbers, the NCR is usually estimated to have between 250,000 to 300,000 soldiers while the Brotherhood has presumably a few hundred maybe over a thousand (a lot of them without power armour) Third resources while the NCR manufactures all of their armour (excluding the Ranger armour which is salvaged prewar stuff), weapons, and ammunition plus they grow their own food, the Brootherhood has to scavenge everything which wouldn't allow them to keep up with the cost of a full blown war not to mention they would need to divert manpower to scavenge that gear (also the NCR scavenges the BOS power armour whenever they manage to kill a paladin or knight creating an NCR heavy.) So finally all the NCR would need to do is keep enough troopers fighting the BOS to burn out their resources and finish them off with the Rangers who are unparalleled long range marksman.
Not The Soap 250000 soldiers and do you expect all of them to have snipers or machine guns? not to mention morale and the ncr enemies..
brotherhood in the other hand has diffrent bases scattered and they are like space marines except weaker cause of their morale.
they also have the best equipment out there
IHype They're no where near the level of space marines. According to the lore of fallout T51 armour is rated to stop projectiles with up to 2500 joules (1850 ft/lbs) of energy so even a common .308 round (which produces around 3500 joules) would cut through it, T-60 is slightly better but it would still easily be ripped through by a .50 BMG which produces around 20,000 joules of kinetic energy. The NCR doesn't need to give all of it's troops anti material rifles because their Rangers already have lots and they're fighting such a small foe. The brotherhood lost a war with the NCR when they were outnumbered 8 to 1 so they would get crushed outnumbered 250 to 1. Also the NCR can put out soldiers insanely fast because they have a giant civilian population behind them paying taxes, manufacturing weapons, and armor, plus growing food, they can produce soldiers so quickly that they can handle a military death rate of 10% which is insane to put that in perspective the death rate of the US army in WW2 was 3%.

If the battle went naturally, the rangers wouldn't have fought them head on as shown. The rangers are elite recon soldiers, so they are extremely deadly at a distance as well as very clever and cunning. If they truly were fighting 10k BOS members clad in Power Armour, they most likely would have lead them into a trap and start taking out their power cores as they cause a nuclear explosion when destroy, effectively turning their armour into giant bombs.

All these people in the comment section thinking they have knowledge of lore, battle strategy, and etc. Too many fanboys, I say. To start off, in the video it would be portrayed that the NCR have come into the Commonwealth, which means they are far from home. They practically have no advantages besides the fact that they've dug into a defensible position. Talking overall, the NCR may have a numbers advantage over the Western BoS, but that doesn't mean they automatically outpower the BoS. Advanced weaponry, defined battle tactics, and tougher armor and soldiers have time and time again overcome a force with superior numbers, cases have been recorded of this all throughout history. Also, the NCR haven't even won against the Western BoS, the fighting is still going on. The BoS you see in NV are fractured off from the rest of the West and fell under weak leaders, but yet they still are present. Majority of the fighting between the WC BoS and NCR is happening west of the Mojave, you people need to spend more time on the wiki. And no, I'm not a BoS fanboy. The only BoS I would devote myself to is the Midwestern BoS, and we don't even know what's going on with them at the moment canon wise because of Bethesda

Andrew, have you even played new vegas or can you simply not understand numbers? The NCR is known for their overwhelming numbers... In just instance, if the brotherhood was somehow able to muster up 10,000 soldiers, the NCR could gather at least 200,000. The NCR admittedly cannot beat the brotherhood without superior numbers, which they have and will always have.... Especially, with the downfall of Caesar and his legion.

If Bethesda manages to pull themselves out of their slump, I'd really like to see a canonical version of this one of these days. See, NCR won against the west coast Brotherhood because they had superior numbers despite being massively out-gunned. But thanks to Maxson, the east coast Brotherhood now has numbers AND firepower on their side.
This was an amazing video, and I love it dearly, but how the NCR has enough manpower, plasma weapons, riot gear, nukes, and vertibirds to perform this operation, I will never know.
BOS wins hands down for me.......Rangers were a handful of elite units, while every memeber of the BOS is trained from the get go. 95% of NCR troops were conscripts (Farmers, scavs, families)
Plus, T60 VASTLY outclasses the repurposed T45 that elite NCR troops used.
Plus......I don't see how they got their hands on plasma weaponry, NCR used primarily conventional ammo due to available resources.

So cosmic did you put like standard settlers or raiders as in the most basic in that armor they seem to die very quickly
Even in New Vegas it started that the BoS and NCR would not fight each other unless they absolutely had to. It wasn't because they were fearful of the other but because they would wipe each other out, therefore making their other rivals stronger. BoS has the tech, NCR has the numbers.

Just to be fully lore friendly and immersive, where did that god damn bomber come from? Did the boomers fly it all the way from new Vegas? And why is their 30'000 elite ranger AND 30'000 Brotherhood members WITH T-60 power armour? Also why didn't the NCR elite Rangers rig that bridge with explosives like Boulder city? (Showing their tactics in action) and why didn't the brotherhood deploy Liberty prime to smash that bridge or some vertibirds? Or even that fat man stockpile they got from that armoury that belonged to the super mutants?? So many things to pick.
The bomber could have came from a pre war military base with the enclave and brotherhood dead in the west or defected to the NCR they are the only one who could use them so they could get the full stash of weapons for themselves

This what a conventional war against the brotherhood would be like. Anyone who went against them would be ROFLstomped all over because of their vastly superior technology. The problem for the brotherhood, however, is that they can't possibly reach the numbers to fight a conventional war, hence why they lose to the NCR.
i think it should have been more of a numbers againts equipment fight, like how in helios, the brother hood killed many but lost because NCR had greater numbers

To be fair, the NCR would have stood a chance in the actual battle if:
1) all of the BoS weren't in power armour. You see BoS without power armour in the game anyway
2) all of the BoS didn't have miniguns/ gatling lasers.

Re-do this. The NCR also possessed heavy troopers and patrol Rangers. Also the brotherhood doesn't use the mini gun a lot in new Vegas. They use things like tribeam laser rifle, laser rifle gauss rifle and laser pistol. Also the Rangers weapons need a wider variety, lever action rifles, revolvers, .50 cal sniper rifle. I'm not bitching too much but we all know how fucking strong the BOS is in fallout 4
