- This video provides a complete guide to replace brake rotors in your car. Brake rotors are an important part of braking system as the brake force is applied to the rotors to stop the car. The rotors are polished each time you brake and the discs thickness get reduced. Its recommended to check and replace the discs at particular interval mentioned in the user manual.

My Linea Also Have Same Caliper & Brake Pad
Hi mate I know this is not related directly to this video But as you advised me with the cars injectors I appreciate your advice.
I have had constant issue with front right brake pads rubbing on disc off and on constantly for two years , the more I drive the worse it happens with my ford focus 1.6 Tdci 5 door hatch a 2011,
my discs don`t burn but from what I can tell a slight smell now and then of heat, but the run out looks worse when I take them off to replace even though not really any wear, no scorching.
I have change disc three times now and piston once using piston kit,and pin slides, still played up after a day. then bought a new caliper in the end but only the side that came with a piston not the other side that moves ,and it still keeps going back to break pads rubbing off and on the disc, even when garage did the discs the problem came back after a four days.I even changed flexible brake hose,
I checked the bearings seam good no knocking no movement when going round bends or doing figure eights even when jacked up the car, I grab the wheel all good ,
So now suspecting wheel hub, run out that could be the only thing that comes to mind,or if the race has a miner issue once under bearing weight of car, I had a bloke told me he had same issue on his ford focus but he got garage to fit new hub and bearings ,this solved his issue.
The issue I have is, the car has ABS which I suspect it has a magneto ring for the sensor to read, I don`t know if traction control runs from this either I am no mechanic but my car does throw up a picture of a car with wobbly lines if I turn a sharp bend to quick , so i think that`s showing me the traction control kicked in
As I am confident in doing the job my self ` I do have the correct tools, but` my worry is, if it has a magneto on the front bearing, and I replace with new bearings I think the car will keep throwing up codes, or some thing like that possibly ABS issue, cuz I don`t have a scan equipment and would not now what to do anyway
Could I do the job then take into garage for them to put on a scan tool to eliminate the issue, would this not be advisable,
or brunt the dear cost and have the garage do the whole lot,
Would you know if this car has magneto on the front and would I Have issues if I don`t have it programmed,
hah chris fix already taught me that
Its good to relearn everything 😅
Smart work bro ✌️✌️💐💐
Thanks bro....💪💪

Great tutorial as always! I own a 2014 model Fiesta Classic 1.4 Diesel Titanium. FASS recommended that the front disc and brake pads are due for change and quoted an estimate of Rs.6500. I'm trying to get the job done from a third party mechanic after purchasing the parts on my own (He has quoted a labour charge of Rs.800). I've got a few queries and it would be great if you could help me out.
1. Are the brake rotors and pads same for ABS and non ABS models?
2. Which brand brake rotor have you used in this video? If it's from Boodmo, kindly provide the link.
3. Do you recommend going with the same brand for rotors and pads? If yes, kindly recommend some good brands.
4. Do you recommend any offline shops in Trivandrum where I can get the said parts?
Thanks in advance buddy.
Hi...the rotor i used here is oem fomoco make and pads from tvs. coud use the oem as well. rotors be the oem and pads tvs, bosch, sc etc can be used.
Yes the pads n rotors are different in abs n non abs models.
In trivandrm could go with focus parts mart shop.
@@dailyhandsdiy Okay buddy. Will order the OEM disc for ABS from boodmo. But the brake pads shown in boodmo doesn't have clips as the one shown in video. Why is that so? Minda is the only brand that's currently available offline.
How much torque on the caliper bolts?
Slider pin bolt 15 to 25 NM max considering the bolts...bracket bolt 75 to 105 NM
I have a problem with the ford fiesta mk6 1.4 tdci, when going over some unevenness and on that occasion the car and the engine shake and seem to lose contact and the engine shuts off. I don't know which sensor or what it could be, please help if anyone knows.
Thats weird...and might be a loose contact in connectors. The connection get interrupted while shaking or vibration hits it.
Probably before that, I checked almost all the connectors and cleaned most of them, but it still happens to me. I don't know which connector is exactly in question and which one is responsible for the operation of the engine?
Bro figo first gen 13 model non abs.. Ethrayakum? Fronth both rotors?
