Not exactly, the chance of getting a dragon lore is 1/(1+5+5^2+5^3+5^4+5^5) = 1/3906.
Now the chance of getting at least 1 DLore in 40 packages:
= 1 - (chance of getting 0 DLores from 40 packages
= 1 - (3905/3906)^40
= 1.01897%
Yeah, being roughly 1 / 4000, he would of had 40 / 4000 roughly, which is 1% +/-

That is true but it’s good to not teach viewers that stats works that way, so I respect him for saying it.
The correct way of saying it assuming the chance is 1 in 4000 (it is actually 1 in 3906) would be to say that if 40 packages are opened then you are expected to get 0.01 dragon lores on average
