This is my dream tele setup, I love it!!!!. Keep up the great work.
Thanks!!! Yeah Because of the pickups and Floyd rose I am call this my TelXMonster…pronounced Tele monster but can’t confuse with tv show called telemonsters!😜
wow! Beautiful finish!
Thanks Sam......I know of another guitar similar to this one that needs to get done sometime as well. We'll have to get something scheduled!
Looks fantastic!
Hey where in Mn are you?
I’m from the Metro area but moved to Mankato 3 years ago.
…and I’m also building a Tele with a Floyd right now. I’m a new hobby-rookie-builder so I’m super appreciative of this video!
Dan!! That’s awesome! I’m in Pipestone! About 2 hours from Mankato!!
Looks amazing what clear coat did you use? I’m in the middle of painting a tele myself and I’m using rustolium copper metallic and it will not dry seems to stay tacky even after sitting for a few days.
Did you check humidity before spraying? Also humidity during dry time can cause problems.
This is looking really cool. I have a few questions about a stain job I am doing on a quited maple top guitar with black limba back and neck. Is there a way I could contact you directly?
If you want to find me on Facebook (Steve Stahl). I’m in Minnesota. What’s your name that I can be watching for you?
Hi..grest build..how durable is the rustoleum laquer? Iv e tried lots of different rattle can laquers..they are all supposed to b tough but seem to wear quite badly.. just finished my latest build yesterday with chestnut products melamine laquer spray..gone on nicely..now to see if it lasts!
Overall durability is hard to say. I play the guitar a little but this isn’t my weekly go to! I think it seems to me a bit more brittle or like it could chip easier but yet I haven’t put it to the test!
well… a year later, how has it held up?
At a year it’s held up very well. Now admittedly I’m one of those guys that tries to be careful about not damaging my guitars, so they don’t get treated under my care like a guitar used for nightly gigs at a roadhouse…so not able to speak into that.
@@letsbuildaguitar9230 that’s great! I’m a little surprised. I had given up on anything that’s not a polyurethane.
What a beautiful instrument. I'm finishing some project guitars soon and this helps a bunch. Thanks 🎉
Best of luck! Thanks for the encouragement!
