Bill Connollys M3 'GXI 9427' is the car that won the 1987 Tour de Corse and BMWs only WRC win. Great video and brought back lots of memories from my childhood watching Bertie Fisher, Bill Connolly, Andrew Nesbitt and Denis Cronin driving that M3. Denis Cronin still owns it and turned down a huge offer from BMW to buy it for their museum.

I think it won the Manx 88 rally in the bassots livrey drivin by partic snijers was flecking amazing. Fisher put on a great display with in in Manx 90 with her to. Believe it or not I seen Denis cronin smatch it on the last stage on the donegal harvist rally 1999 I remember lookin at her after the smash she was thick with filler thier was body filler everywhere she was molded in it he rolled it heavily that day.

Manta was hard to beat on Irish roads, wheel base helped, simple, reliable, and 275bhp, bonners livery was one of the nicest designs on a 400. Great Video! One for the history books.

Great video and quailty as always,
I was talking to john Bonner Vincent's son about that rally,he would have won only before spinning and hitting a wall under braking because the brake bias was just set to much to the rear brakes and under hard braking it was pulling the handbrake.he loved that 400zp manta 400
