Hi Will, While driving around Switzerland, I came across Vevey by accident. I was so amazed by this town. Very friendly people and great food. Such a stunning lake!
Hello, yes it's very true. I prefer the Vaud side
Hello Will another great video. My partner and I have been to Vevey twice now. We loved it & we hope to visit again.
Glad you enjoyed it. I think it's my favourite place in Vaud.
Damn I gotta go here. It looks like something from a different world
Haha, it really is... I think it might be one of my favourite places on the lake
Castle in Montreux (pronounced Mon-traux”) is the formerly Bernese-controlled Chateau de Chillon pronounced “she-on” not “Chill-on”. It is here where Lord Byron wrote the famous poem, the prisoner of chillon. Noteworthy is he was friends with Mary Shelley, who went on to write Frankenstein, of which some settings take place in the Savoie region of the French Alps, near Geneva. Other notable writers who spent time or lived in Vevey, are Graham, Greene, and Rousseau.
Hello, thanks for the info... I find Italian words even more difficult to say
Lake Geneva ?
no Lac Leman
Hi, it's both names. French call it Lac Leman
