Just a tip for next time: Any way the person in the chair can wear a shirt opposite color of their hair? It was a lil hard to notice the difference in her hair because she has really dark color hair with a really dark color shirt.... Black on Black.

Video idea/need . Can you do a tutorial for stylists on the shag hair cut on wavy’s. I just watched a string of them on other “teaching” CZcams channels and the cuts turned out AWFUL. Very mullet like and stringy (not the nice updated looks of the new century) and it’s obvious they don’t really know anything about curly/wavy hair. ☺️

I was always told by all the hairstylist I been too to uncross my legs right before they start cutting on my hair. They do explain why and it does make sense. Causing more weight shift on one side which can create a lil uneven cutting.Yet I noticed your cousin having one leg crossed over the other?
Can you do a video for a u shape cut on curly hair? I've transitioned from v shape to u shape. I've noticed my hair is much healthier and voluminous when I get this type of shape for my curls. The issues is I'm always busy. I don't always have time for at least half a day to devote for the full treatment needed plus wait time. Curly hair maintenance is a stressful struggle 😫

Hi Mel! Random question. If I’m trying to grow my hair out, how often should I get a trim? I’ve been doing every 8 weeks but I feel like my stylist takes off most of my growth
When I was growing it (my hair is classic length now aka over the booty), I did not cut it for years, just only search & destroyed (cut individual splits out). I did not heat style though, so it was super healthy. Maybe once to twice a year should be good, most 1 inch each time. Hair only grows 6 inches a year, so you'd have 4 inches of growth left. Not too bad.
The short hair actually looked really good on her! Idk what she was talking about it not being a good look lol. 💙

In order to encourage healthy growth, I tell my clients to trim every 3-4 months
only cut when you see a lot of spliss or rough ends
