I have a newfound obsession with lithops, conophytums, dinteranthus and the cute sorts. Happy to have stumbled upon your vids! I like seeing how you pot them, gives me a better picture of how i should pot mine. I was afraid to water the splitting lithops after potting them in case they die on me, but you gave me the confidence to give them a good drinking! i really think they should too, to establish new roots. I live in a tropical climate though.

Hello I’m a new mother of 5 lithops but I was confused by the watering needs. Some advice is to water them by droplets, whereas some say water them by putting the pot into a bowl of water. Some say to spray using the squeeze bottle like you do in the video. What is the best gauge for lithops.

Your Lithops are not planted deep enough. It is a complete mistake to only put the roots in the soil. They should at least be planted up to the color change mark on their sides. The deep planting helps as a heat sink on hot days, that's why they retract into the soil when it is hot and dry. When planting them on top then that is impossible. This sort of planting I call the "celery syndrome" :-D The plant at 7'29" is an example by choice one can see the side color change, yet it is just barely in the soil ...
