- In this video i briefly go over how the carb works on a two stroke motor and then show me tuning up my engine,
after i did this i took it for a flight and the engine run much smoother, with power throughout the revs,
before it would splutter and felt like it had flat spots through the rev range,
not only that but now the engine starts a lot easier - Zábava
Brilliant! Many thanks 👍
Well I learned something.. nice one! 👍🏻
Thanks. Although I do believe you have a float carb on your Bailey. Any being four stroke doesn't need tuning like a dirty two stroke does lol
Oh for sure, but I'm sure I'll meet a two stroke at some point in the future.
Thank you boss!
Haha what a coincidence I’m just finishing up a video on spark plugs! Good work keep it up
I didn't want to get into to much detail. But man it makes such a difference. Could you tell I have man flu on the voice over? I hate doing them at the best of times. Can't wait to see your video. Is there much of a wait ?
Didn’t need much more tbh you covered all basis! Tuning is always rewarding I’ll be posting a video about it but not until she’s all back together. Nailed the voice over btw and should be out in the next couple of days, you know how I like to keep everyone in suspense 😂
Thanks
Thank you so much for the video - excellent. On some PPG's recent motors the Pop-off Pressure is recommended to be set at 17-19 PSI but they are not on arrival to the buyer. When you lean forward the RPM die's off and when you lean back the RPM's increase. What is the solution!!
I have done a video on the carb rebuild but just need to edit it first so should be up in a few weeks
What did you set the fuel metering lever at… ? Did you adjust the pop off pressure….?
I did on my last rebuild pop off is supposed to be around 10 to 12 psi for my engine I have it set to around 14 and have the bottom end slightly rich to compensate. And it seems to be running really nicely
Me BOSS and don't you forget it !
Why can't you adjust with the prop off?
I cover that in a carb rebuild. This is a basic engine tune video.
@@justharryjohnson7250 where is that video please?
“CLEAR PROP” 😂
Oh.... did i forget to say it lol, Naughty me, lol
It’s such a great video, but having you talk over it when trying to listen to the engine is really frustrating 😂 thanks anyway!
Noted. I did think that when I was talking. 😁
this seemed to work for you, I tried doing this, didn't work. my Moster idle went up all the way until it was as lean as it could get and was def not running right at that point.
Low-end screw bring it in until revs are highest , hen back of literally 1 second on the clock. Then , from idle , hen you pull full throttle, it should pick up really well. If it doesn't, there may be air in fuel, air leak between carb and engine, reed valves worn, vlocked filters, etc. The high-end screw will only adjust the top end revs and mixture.

putting your head under the prop! AAAAH! scary!
We all have our moments lol 😆
Disclaimer... you stick your head through the prop while tuning!
That's fucking ridiculous....
Er did I??
