How is a super athlethic gifted 6"11 player who is able to play all positions in an era of positionless baketball so terrible at putting the ball in the basket. He barely has to jump on top of being athletic. All he has to do is learn an average jumpshot and he is basically set for the Hall of Fame on autopilot.

I went to LSU, and when I came in as a freshman he was a freshman too. As someone who watched almost all of his college games, a majority of them in person, you can tell he doesn’t give a shit and just relies on his size and his talent. Looking at the body language of his teammates, they did not like playing with him. I wasn’t surprised all when Philly wanted him gone. He doesn’t wanna put the work in to really be great, and mentally he’s soft as charmin. He’s hurt right now, I get it. But Brooklyn just moved a shitload of picks and assets to get harden just to flip harden for this 6’10 cupcake. The process somehow not only screwed over the 76ers, but the nets as well. It’s kinda funny.
Dawg when he was getting drafted I was entering my senior year of high school. Literally every single thing you said was what I was pointing out all the way back then before he even went to Philly. I called ALL of this out and it only took 6 years before a large percentage of ppl started to see what we did.
Ben came in and achieved what he wanted. And that's a couple of Brinks trucks parked into his bank account and being able to hook up with whoever holla at him on Twitter. The guy loves the fame and fortune, but it was never about basketball, that was a means to an end for him, and it's starting to show the more the guy doesn't play or sulk when people criticize him for the lack of devotion and heart to the game. Because to improve, you have to see something wrong with yourself and your skill-set; to Ben, he sees nothing wrong with what he does on the court.
He'll have his taste of reality one day when the contracts dry up, and teams no longer want to give him the benefit of the doubt. Some people need that rude awakening; sadly, I think it will come too late for him when he can't give himself away for a box of cereal or vet minimal.

I feel like some believe once they make it to the pro’s, they’ve accomplished what they really wanted and just skate by by putting up average games. That's because Embiid wanted to be great and was willing to accept constructive criticism from two of the greatest players in the history of the sport. It's pretty obvious Simmons is content with where he is as a player. I think my whole point is that winning is an indicator of hard work. Simmons was perceived as more talented but couldn’t win anything at LSU, and talent ain’t nothing without hard work. Looking back: Ingram, Hield, and Jamal Murray were all proven winners who were passed up on.
