This just took me back to my elementary school days, some 35 or more years ago. Growing up was so much fun and mum always told us stories at night especially when we had blackouts and we had to use candles and lanterns

Hi Folly, in Germany we played rubber twist, which means we took a long piece of 1 cm thick elastic rubber ( used for sewing ). Two ( mostly ) girls stood opposite each other, approx. 2 meters apart, the ribbon held on the height of their waist.
Then the third one had to jump in and create different patterns with this flexible attribute, like to cross, turn around with the waistband, keep one part over the shoulder, you name it....After some time positions would be changed. Greetings Conny

@@duncansmartt2107 I remembered this game a lot in Lagos too.70s -late 80's. It was really agirls only game. The girls played it insanely rhythmic! Very percussive with their feet and hand clapping. Very much like the rththymic clapping in Aladura churches. Insanely musical game. As a kid I was more fascinated by the sound sthe girls created and the body movement than watching the game.

The sound cut out while you were explaining Suwe. I know it’s similar to American hopscotch, but I am interested in finding out the differences, such as what happens once you build the house… and why two people jump at the same time… is it a competition between the two players? It looks like fun.

It took me back 50 years back to my childhood outdoor games. I grew up in Pakistan, you are absolutely correct the technology has taken over and we don’t see children outside playing and plus parents don’t feel safe to let children be outside by themselves.

My childhood was sooo much fun that i feel so bad for kids of today for what they are missing out. Well, maybe they aren't missing out because they have no point of reference but i wish today was like my days.

I did everything in this video. Battabox missed elastic rubber game. Video games are killing our present days Children especially in Advanced countries. Although it has some advantages in brain development but it doesn't teach life lessons. Street is the best place to learn life lessons. Some days you win, some days you lose, some days you get beaten, some days you are a star, some days you get rejected, etc. This is the reason why people from my generation are more resilient than this present one. Na street sure pass.

Willy Willy Willy was called Mother may I. A little different. Bugu bugu was hide and seek or as you got older, Hide and get it. If a guy catch a girl the she had to kiss him or hunch. lol have sex. Obama Fusa is like ring around the roses. Bread and Butter was like tug of war starts out like the boring European game London Bridge is falling down. Tales by night is common Tales.
