- Burrito Bison is a series of fun launch games that involves timing Rocket Slams and playing small minigames to go as far and as fast as possible. But what if we just didn't play the game and did absolutely nothing after launching our luchador?

Is this the first game of that "genre"?
Not even close, launch games were common and popular during Flash's time on the web. However, Burrito Bison was one of if not the most popular launch games ever alongside Learn to Fly. It's worth noting too that when Kongregate held a "Best flash game ever" contest on their website to celebrate 100,000 games, Burrito Bison Revenge was the ultimate winner beating out Bloons TD 5 of all games in the finals!

The earliest one I remember is Pingu Throw (2004) which is reeeeaaaal basic. You just hit a penguin and it flies some distance and lands. Someone else modified it to make Bloody Pingu Throw, which added landmines which launch you further, and inspired some other games like Kitten Cannon (2005). The earliest game of this type that was actually fun by today's standards was NANACA†CRASH!! (2005) which was really popular in the west even though the instructions were in Japanese, and it's still pretty addicting even today! Look it up and give it a go if you feel like it. That's just what I remember though, there might be other stuff I never played back then.

These are just older games of the series, not versions I think.
Can we talk about the differences of how each run ends from the original vs. the second game? The first game always has him either beaten by a cop, or carried by a cop back to the ring, or both. But in the second game, he now picks himself up and goes back to the ring willingly. Even if he gets caught in a fight with a cop, he beats them anyways and goes back to ring once more. It’s such a nice, subtle difference showing that he got more confident now and he’s not letting down
I like the detail where whenever bison fall on the cops he usually get caught but in the sequel he beat the cops shows that he learned from his mistake

I feel like you should've waited for a first run where the forced rocket slam wouldn't kill gummies. It'd have next to no impact on the game as a whole. Though I do recall the other in game tutorials forcing inputs as well; perhaps you should've mentioned that at the end, if that's the case, that'd be a much better reason to cancel the challenge.

or waited for a run where the forced rocket slam doesn't kill any gummies. Next to no effect on the run.

Talk about a blast from the past! I remember playing Burrito Bison and it's sequel on Newgrounds back in the day. It was certainly one of my favorite flash games in the "launch" genre (right up there with "Flight" and "Toss the Turtle").
I would have thought that you'd need to have at least some input in the game to maintain your speed for the last barrier, much like how in Learn to Fly you really need some input to maintain enough momentum to break through the last obstacle. It's a testament to your patience and the power of upgrades that a challenge run like this in Burrito Bison is even possible. Well done, Luigi would be proud!

Does an extremely bad launch angle work for the third one? So that the first launch’s run ends before the prompt comes up?
I tried different angles and I couldn't get something that led to different results unless I didn't try hard enough.

@@Shyguymask It does work... but on an earlier version of the game. Try the version on Kongregate, it's an official release that hasn't been updated. You won't even be able to hit the gummy bear at the start if you try, so it's pretty easy to use a weak launch to land and stop before the tutorial comes up. It still shows up and you have to click, but you won't do a rocket slam. After that, the tutorial won't come up again.

@@Shyguymask That's really weird, I tried it out on firefox, chrome, and edge on my regular pc and it works the way I said. I tried it on another pc and he hits the gummy bear at the start as normal, same as yours. I stuck a video of it on my channel, I guess it must be a unity bug or something?

Usually, any "win by do absolutely nothing" challenge is called "the Luigi", named after the meme that happens in Mario Party's luck based or automatic minigames that don't make it impossible to win when played against the easiest CPU opponents due to easy level CPU being purposefully play like an idiot, and rely on pure luck to win. And usually the character used is Luigi. Not only Mario Praty too, but also Super Smash Bros, and EVEN MARIO KART 8 DELUXE.

Interesting thing about this game, it was literally designed so the farther you got the less of the good stuff you will see. It reach a point where you literally can not lose on the 2nd game even if you were to do nothing if you have all of the upgrades. So without even watching the video I already know it is possible. It just how the game was built.

@@Shyguymask Ok I play it thinking it was a game I missed out on but suddenly it call came back to me on why I ditch it. The Piñata and time rift crap put me off and I just went and play 2 again lol. Each to their own but the 3rd game just felt too much like a mobile port and such games don't work well on kongregate if you use adblocker when it comes to the mobile-like rewards.
I've remenber that i did played Launcha Libre a lot if times, when i played this in 2018, or something. Ahh... Good times for lauched. 😅

I know I'm like a year-and-a-half late but I know a way to avoid being required to use the rocket slam, the first time I did it on accident but the second time I confirmed it, I don't know if it works on PC but it worked on mobile, when you get to the part where the game forces you to use the rocket slam simply turn off your phone and turn it back on and then go back in the game and the game will pause and if you unpause the game continues going even though you did not use the rocket slam meaning that theoretically it is possible to beat Burrito Bison launcha Libre on mobile by doing absolutely nothing

Mate I immediately need info on where did you play the first two games. I've been searching all over the web for a place to play them and others like them but all I find are outdated flash game websites that, as the name implies rely on flash to run them despite flash kicking the bucket some time ago.
