How long is the trip, including check-in, boarding and the sail?
Check in typically closes 60 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time (GMT). However, in high season and during the holidays, check in closes 120 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time (GMT).
The ferry itself takes typically 1 hour 30 minutes.
We are driving to france on monday. Is the drive pretty easy?

Driving in Europe is very easy. It will take alittle time to get used to driving on the other side of the road.
City driving can challenging without google maps!
@@4kadventures is google maps good to use in france? Also i was told we need to disable speed camera detections?
I prefer google maps over Apple Maps for European driving.
Apparently the speed camera detection switches off automatically on Google maps when you're in France.

did they check the car documents? V5c and insurance?
When you book the ferry you fill in your car details. Other than that no obvious checks are carried out while boarding.

Ive never had my car checked.. I've had a van checked once before.

I’ve had my car checked inside as well as the boot I should imagine if they suspected anything they would check baggage

They do! I had to edit it out as no filming is allowed at customs
