@@juantamayo5295 theyre fully japanese. Those hats are from WW2 imperial army, the tanks look like the Type 95 (japanese one), and the planes are reference to kamikaze attacks. About the suicide bombing, there is many footage around of japanese soldiers that were captured or taken down from their vehicles, and detonated themselves when they were about to get captured by americans.
Even if it's just a joke level its unironically quite well docummented lmao
I didn't know that jumping through soldier's dynamite actually doesn't hit you, well looks like I'm gonna practice this path again.

5 however was snk playmore and noise factory
While 5 did have some quality again, its super short and is a rushed metal slug game
What I will say about 5 is the slugnoid and music are nice

But 3's soundtrack is so diverse especially with each route having its own track and even then the tracks sound awesome

Where the hell IS this mission anyway? You have a desert that, while it may not necessarily be the Sahara, obviously looks like it and has dromedary camels, the Aztec war machine Sol Dae Rokker (which is flanked on both sides by effigies of Quetzalcoatl), and the Imperial Japanese "holdouts" from the Pacific islands. Oh, and the wine barrels at 2:45 are labeled in Italian
The mission is set in South America, but the Japanese soldiers were sent by the IJA to launch an offense directly on the american territory. They survived 2 years in their hideout, which explains their appearance. For Sol Dae Rokker, it's actually a japanese god, not an aztec one (though I can't really explain why it's here). Also, the Japanese are actually from the 6th IJA's division, which is based directly by the real life one.

Ok, I'll tell the whole story about them: originally, these soldiers were the infantry of the 6th Imperial Japanese Army division and were sent to South America launch an attack against the Americans. But unfortunately, they have suffered heavily losses and ceased to exist as an organized unit, leading the soldiers to rename the division as the "Samurai Army". The Samurai Army, now cornered somewhere in South America, suffers heavily from the loss of supplies, gasoline and food. Until this very day, the forgotten men still didn't receive the report of the end of WWII and are actively defending their hideout from any intruders.

No, I have played this with the keyboard. There is an option on the Emulator for the firing speed between Normal and Turbo. As you can see I chose Turbo.

Here is the strategy against the boss of Mission 4 known as "Sol Dae Rokker":
First off, the only vulnerable spot on the boss of Mission 4 is his red gem in the middle of him, so only aim for that. Also, his health is easily readable by the color he is, the more red you see, the less health he has.
Now, his attacks. First, the one that seems to get everyone but is also the easiest to dodge. When a purple glow appears under him, he will drift to one side. When he does this, run to the opposite side (not towards him) as far as you can and stay on the opposite edge and wait, the boss should stop right in front of you, and then he will drift back to the middle.
His second attack, the wolves. Some ghost type wolves will appear out of his torches on either side of him, they will take a few loops before kamikazeing you. Stand still and just make sure to jump left or right when you see that the wolves are rushing down on you.
His last 2 attacks are very similar, but not exactly the same. First, yellow spikes will circle around his gem. These will fire at random so watch out, observe carefully and try your best to dodge them.
His last attack is his red spikes, these may seem to be the same as the yellow spikes but they are not. The boss will lock on to you, then he will fire about 5 at a time where you last were, with more waves depending on how damaged he is.
Once you destroy his red gem in the middle of him, he will be defeated and will fall onto the building.

Well, believe or not. I didn't use any save states during gameplay. I only saved the missions and practiced in every mission over and over again to get so good.

Es una broma de los Japoneses. Despues del final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, en un periodo de casi 30 años despues, habia soldados del Imperio Japones que todavia estaban de ocultos en sus cuevas y bajo terreno en varias partes de Islas ajenos (Como los Filipinos y Indonisia). La razon era que el mensaje que la guerra termino nunca llego al los territorios que los Soldados han quedado.

Especialmente cuando haz vencido los soldados con color rojo en su uniforme, ellos caian al piso y antes de morir, levantan dinamita de su possession y revientan. Pense que esto era chiste de los soldados del medio este que suicidaban con bomba/dinamita.
PERO, los detalles en el nivel, como palabras Japoneses, sus katanas y la forma que peleaban, y los aviones (que terminan en kamikaze) y tankes sin gas me a dado la impresion que son soladados Japoneses y no del medio este.
Honestamente, no pense recibir tu respuesta como tu comentario original era hace un año, jejeje. Este juego era mi favorito hace años, y lo estoy jugando de nuevo con mi hijo :)

@@androide_17. No hay problema, todo esta bein. Parece que yo e tenido buen tiempo para responder cuando tu estabas activo. Un otro interesante facto de este juego es que los serias que mensionaste cual fueron tus favoritos (Metal Slug 1,2,X, y 3), estos fueron creado con el mismo equipo de programadores (de la compania NEO GEO de SNK). SNK han tenido bankarota y un otro compania (Mega) tomaron control de los licensias. El compania Mega crearon Metal Slug 4. Luego, SNK han vuelto activo con el nombre SNK Playmore. Este compania usaron el nuevo equipo de programadores para creat Metal Slug 5. El Metal Slug 6 usaron los del equipo antiguo (los que todavian no cambiaron trabajo) y hicieron tambien Metal Slug 7 (para el Gameboy Advance) y Metal Slug XX (su ultimo juego para el Xbox).
Siempre esto al tanto para ver si es que van a crear un otro, pero hace 10 años no crearon un sequal.
Era mi ruta favorita, pense que la mas difícil era la de los cangrejos XD, siempre evitaba la de los cangrejos, pero resulta que esta es la mas difícil XD

you die only if you are on the ground when the bomb explodes.
also those soul like boss attacks won't kill you if you jump right at the moment when they hit the ground, the explosion won't kill you, but jumping into them when they explode will kill you, or jumping too early.
you can avoid all these attacks without even leaving your place, by just jumping at the right moment

No son lobos son los fantasmas de los que explotan, en algunos metal slug 3 se oyen los fantasmas que cuando caen al suelo suenan igual que cuando mueren los que explotaron
El comentario de los lobos refleja que no conoces el lvl 8 de Metal Slug 3. A partir del nivel 6 hasta el 8, esos lobos se vuelven imposibles de saltar de manera recta sin morir, ya que le ampliaron el rango de ataque para que no puedas evadirlos de esa forma y tengas que moverte por todo el suelo, coordinando el timing del salto diagonal con la caida de los lobos. No quiero sonar mamón ni nada de eso porque cada quien juega a su estilo, pero encuentro que tuvo suerte en algunos momentos de la misión como por ejemplo matar al jefe justo antes que tirase su ataque más complicado a máxima velocidad, donde se hace casi imposible de esquivar teniendo en cuenta que el patrón es aleatorio y los rayos salen disparados a una velocidad infernal. De todas formas lo ha hecho muy bien.
