Ok asked my husband about the propeller. He said that is the ‘N’ number, or registration number with the FAA. He said you can probably go on the FAA website and put that in and it might give you info. But if it crashed and was taken out of commission, they may have reassigned the number to a different plane. So having a year would definitely help. Good luck!

I love the reverse painting but I think I love the plane propeller the most since it has a story.

LOL.. it's awesome to see someone step outside the box when it comes to thrifting and collecting, one can only look at so many swung vases and Fenton Silvercrest.. I am like you .. I WANT THE STORY that comes with a piece, I have a whole cabinet of mini teacups a lady collected, that I bought the whole cabinet at a Estate Sale, each is dated, where it was bought, on what vacation it was bought, who it was bought with and if she bought it or someone gave it to her from their travels, with all their info . some date all the way back too 1922 which she states were her mothers, and 2 of them are Disney mini tea's dated July 17, 1955 bought on the day Disneyland opened. each has a parchment label tied to the handle with silk thread and each cup sits perfectly on the label under the cup protecting the saucer, and a coordinating book that tells in her handwriting everything that happened to acquire the teacup.. I love them one of my favorite things I've collected.

My mouth dropped open at the paintings you got. What an amazing talent to be able to paint backwards. I’m going to look more into that and learn so I know what to look for. So beautiful.

I just took a page out of your notebook and found a waterford crystal heavy book shaped paperweight for $25. I'm a librarian, so cool. But resale, hell yeah!

I love the Murano candle holder for that price. Even with the missing foot , it is still stunning. Just put in a corner like you said or against a wall with flowers or other art glasses to hide it. I noticed a Barbie pool party with a box right next to the tribal drum you picked . I just purchased one for $20 that sells for $50-$60. Happy New Year!

the ICH on the propeller refer to the manufacturer Sensenich . 74FK49 is the model number of the propeller , and the number underneath it is the serial number

Your Murano piece falls into the category of blackamoors which is the Black house slaves in the Spain and Morocco countries, although they could be found in other countries in Europe, England and the United States. Currently, these figures are in a love it or hate it situation in the market. Good luck with the resale.
I just sold a reverse painted Christmas tree ornament. It was hand-blown, 3.5" in diameter done in a snowscape. I understand the process of reverse painting, but to do it in miniature inside of a bubble is mind-boggling.

According to my research. LaVerne Kneeshaw Schmidt is alive and well (born in 1929) and living in California very near a country club. She is the 4th daughter/child of Dr. Robert Stanley Kneeshaw president of the California Medical association 1950. But nothing to tie either to an airplane propeller. There was a J. Kneeshaw killed while flying on ops in France in 1942. she would have been 13 but I do not know of a connection.... well there is something :)
