Im watching the replay as well. I heard a famous artist, when asked what makes a painting museum qualty? He said, If you are completely satisfied with it, it is museum quality". He knows how picky we are as artist!
I am watching the replay. I will keep watching it. I love mixed media
I love you all sooooo much Kristy !!!
That little sweet baby girl is so beautiful !!!
I had a great time seeing this Video Tutorial replay today! I love your joy , your energy is what we need during this Season. I pray for you and your lovely family. You have been along with - Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen, Lisa Osteen Combs, Bishop TD Jake's, Steven Fertick, Robert Morris, Dr. Charles Stanley, and pastor Madu, you have been there in a great way for all of us !!!
WOW !!!!! Thanks.
Wow I thank you so much!! Bless you!
I’m watching the replay and enjoying it so much. I watch a lot of videos about “the master artists “ old & new. What you’re doing here is so valuable to people (like me) who tend to get stifled by the rules, traditions, taboos of making art. It’s good to remember the “old masters” and impressionists experimented with pigments & materials and so much beautiful art came out of it. Too often, home artists, amateurs if you will, are stifled by all the scary rules of watercolor art especially. Boo! The paper! Boo! The mediums! It doesn’t have to be so frightening as to prevent us from diving in and trying everything (safe). Break barriers.
Replay: HI ADAM 😊, thanks for all your tech skills and energy that allow Kristy to share all her artist talents and bring happiness to life 🙏❤️
If today I was asked to keep only one youtuber subscribed, it would be you. Love you a lot, you have taught me how to paint. Lots and lots of love and gratitude.
Oh gosh, thank you so much :)
Couldn't make the lives, but have so enjoyed all the replays. Learning a lot. I'm teaching myself watercolor and picking up as many hints as I can. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
Wonderful!
My art room/studio is a small room in the basement. There are cabinets on three wall, two 2x6 workbenches pushed together with three side access, and a table where I mix paints and doubles as a sewing table when needed. With all that, I did a couple resin projects in the kitchen. I also work in the garage for larger canvass projects. Watching you makes me want to pull all the things from the cabinets! Watercolors, pastels, oil pastels… what I need it’s TIME!
I have discovered that the Jellyroll gel pens do all kinds of fun and magical things on wet paper. Very melty and satisfying :)
Edit: Team Replay 😁
Thanks for sharing!!
so excited to make it to day 5. Better late than never. Thankful for the replay option. I've learnt so much from this series, thank you x
Cheers!!
Replay (obviously) omgosh you are so funny!!!!! I would love to paint with you in person! I love your humor!!!! The blind picking of supplies had me in stitches!!!Love this live series!
Oh thank you!
I am so loving this. A few years ago my sisters and I had a “Milk & Cookies” afternoon with colouring books and crayons and just scribbled away, like little kids. I wish we lived closer together…..this would be a blast.
Team Replay thank you for making this possible!! You inspire us to just have fun.
Glad you enjoy it!
Watching in replay in Sept 2023.
Hell yes, this is so much fun, I sometimes feel I am a mad scientist because I tend to color outside the lines. I love it, I have been told by friends they won't be surprised if my house goes up in flames because of the experiments I try with different art and household supplies.
😂😂😂
Team Replay! Hello! I am painting as I watch this 😊 Mixed Media, Watercolor, Gouache, and Colored Pencils. Snowy Owl in Flight. I am a beginner in painting still life. I love your videos, your joy in painting, and all your little happy sayings❤
Watched live AND team replay 😁 Thank you for sharing so much of your time and talent. Thanks to your support team too xx
I feel like I’ve been on an art retreat this week ❤️
Thanks for being here!
I agree....being fearless is so fun and keeps life interesting. I'm so excited about all the new stuff coming out. Still need to get your pallet. Kristy, thank you so much for all these detailed tutorials. They are so very helpful. In my favs so I can rewatch them as needed. That baby is so darn cute!
Thanks so much!
Team Replay! This is my fifth one! Thanks for taking so much time with these and making lessons plans. I know these are time intensive endeavors, but I always learn so much. So thank you!
You are so welcome!
Sorry Kristy I couldn't come to this one. I love that your baby took part in this one! She's so adorable. Mixed media is where I started so this is my comfort zone!
It’s my joy zone!
Team replay! Here for the play!
I'm sooo excited. I love all the art supplies too. When I started out I could barely afford a $15 dollar cotman pallette, and the cheapest cotton paper. I've come a long way from those days, and I now have all the supplies. I spent all years collecting though. And actually some of my most beautiful work was done with the most simple of supplies. So yes, use what you have.
Same here!
I have recycled as much of my supplies as possible. I draw, paint, and write with the least expensive stuff I can find- AND invest in the good stuff where I can. And my favorite creations are most often the thing I create in a boring meeting with a ballpoint on note paper! Here’s to a lifetime of discovery and joy from creating. Cheers to you!
Kristy your good at anything you to you an always you have a smile and happy .So i paint with you everyday.iam 78 an have just about all my life.Sherman Texas ❤
That is awesome!
I am new to watercolor. I love your videos. I only like chaos.
I’m watching on the 30th. I was out of town for the live broadcast! Went to the Denver art museum. Inspiring! You are so inspiring yourself Kristie. I’m married to a mechanical engineer. We also banter. Married 43 years next month. I am reading and going through Art for Joy sake now! Love it!
Thanks for being here!
She is adorable!!!
I love Mixed Media and Watercolor. Now I am going to combine them.
Floral is my happy spot too !!
Thank you for sharing your talents with us ❣️
You bet!
Love your singing...I love that you have so much joy painting...
Thanks so much 😊
Team replay. watched all 5. Learned a lot. Had fun and joy.
Team replay. It is so fun to watch you play!❤
I love your bird!!! Heron is my favorite bird!!!
Having more fun than the law allows!!!!! I just got a set of Kuretake watercolors for a song at my local art supply thrift shop. I can't wait to start this process. Watercolor in bed doesn't work as well as I would like. BTW, I am happiest when my hands are covered in ink and paint. THANK YOU
That is awesome!
Team, reply, I love this. Looks like so much fun!! You have taught me so much. I just love your personality. Also, I love the way you and your husband are so playful!! I just love watching you❤
Thanks so much 😊
I’d love to see you do subscription boxes and then make art with them
Team Replay here 😆 Just watching you, hearing your joy has encouraged me to play around with art again which has improved my art so much. You’ve put it back in perspective for me that art is about fun, not perfection.
Wonderful!
Team replay… lots of new product! Fun!!!
You sound great….cheerful!
I have had your brush set for couple months now and I am truly impressed with the quality and really enjoy using them
So so glad!!
I love what you did with the heron. You have a beautiful family. Many blessings❤️I was on live but had to leave early.
Thank you so much
Team replay - doesn't matter if I see you live or later, great either way.
Appreciate that!!
Team replay!! ❤❤
Yes, that looks great!!!
Team replay. I am absorbing great ideas and techniques. Thank You
WOW, you must be exhausted after this. It has been amazing and so much fun. Drawing is something I want to learn as well.
Team REPLAY! ♥️
Thank you for all the time and effort you put into this series. I learned a lot by just listening to you. Today’s lesson was very informative. Usually I let the watercolor dry before I draw, glitter, glue or scribble over it for my mixed media projects. We’ll see what I can come up with now that you gave me new ideas :) Thanks to you I also finally finished a project that I started in May and procrastinated over after only 5 pages. This week I finished the other 30 pages and your leaves and flowers & diverse brush techniques/exercises made an appearance on several pages. So thank you, thank you, thank you! You definitely sparked my creativity! ♥️
Ohhhh wet on wet mixed media is a whooolllle new world!
Absolutly lovin this video. Painting and laughing right along with you.
Sharie, MN. Preschool aide
Awesome! Thank you!
SO MUCH FUN 🎉❤❤❤ LOVE THIS VIDEO!
just bought your brushes and beautiful watercolors!! So excited!!! Happy Birthday!!
Happy birthday!! Can't wait to hear what you think!
My first watercolor was a Jane's Dean portrait. My art teacher measured the length between the eyes, nose, temples based on some rule about facial spacing. I don't remember what she referenced. I do remember she quoted Drawing From The Right Side of the Brain 🧠. That's apparently the gold standard for art teachers like yourself.
Love the heron. Yes it fixes the need for legs... Amazing...
Having fun thank you
Hi Kristy and crew! I want to apologize not being able to make it today. I really thought I would be able to, but something came up. You can be sure that I will enjoy watching all the replays.
At least I got to enjoy the one yesterday with you and even played a long some!
Replays are fun too!
I love what you created in the 9th square; the dirt horizontal orientation.
I love it.

Watercolorland is probably my fave videos for sure! I watched the last video I almost signed off at the heron. So happy I stayed. I love sneaky Pete and what a great sketch I pulled off!!! Thanks for keeping it awesome friend. I thought I was the last one who still loved LePen!
Def not the last one
Thank you so much for sharing your talents, imagination, energy, time and humor. You are truly a jewel! Will be looking for your Patreon.
I appreciate that sooo much!
Team replay!
I am sitting and watching this while working in my studio, and laughing and so much fun!!! Thank you. My husband is a truck driver, and he and I go ay each other all the time. Too funny. Love you guys. 🥰🤣
You are so welcome!
Just loving this video as use gel pens & use food grade glycerin to paint with them & just your tip on gesso is fantastic! Ty for these videos!!
Amazing work, sweet flowers
I recently found your site, subscribed, and have spent a lot of time watching your videos. Joined your 5 part series "Waterland". Today I took brush in hand, practicing the various techniques, freely dipping into my favorite colors without obsessing over color mixing. The result was a series of seeing surprising happy things show up on the page. You brought back JOY and FUN and HAPPY SURPRISES. So grateful you are reaching out to so many. Wishing you All Good Things Every Single Day
Team replay!!! Love all your videos
Team replay! It's been a great week, thank you!!

Kristy.. I am laughing how you and your husband banter with each other, my parents bantered with each other all the time and they were married 65 years so I would say keep going
Yup! Lol!
Team replay 🎉

This particular day I was at my comedic finest, lol!
Hi Irie....what a cutie bug!!!
I used to decorate cakes, so icing works in art, lol😅
Team replay. I’m really loving you channel. You are tempting me to purchase things though.
Use what you have :)

Team replay 😁
Im here watching but im a year late for a live show. Im continuing to learn with each show i watch. Thank you Kristy❤
I'm playing with some hydus ph martains with ya - while watching late. I ❤ love mixed media. Pastel, marker, ink, gouache, even acrylic, colored pencil, charcoal, etc- almost everything plays with watercolor!
So glad!
I have some of the TCW powder in Wisteria, it is magical, and I have used it for painting flowers. Will order more for sure.
Love your clases I just started using watercolor I am an acrylic artist so I wanted a new medium thank y0u you are doing a great job
Welcome and have fun!!!
Team Replay!
Team replay ! 💕
Team replay here... watching it for the 2nd time. 1st time I got interrupted 😉
The heron could use a few strands of grass in front as well to help his "non-leg" situation?
Makeup brush hanger great for drying ferrule down. I use the African black soap after a beauty influencer recommend it for makeup brushes, natural and synthetic,. I use taklon or synthetic so I guess it’s safe.
Nice!
Team replay...your desk is my dining room table🤣 except I have a six inch patch to rest a cup on!
It works if you work it! And you are!
The new brush set Question…couldn’t tell..is there a flat included? Just last night I was wishing you had included one in the set I have…love using a flat that’s not quite as big as the wash brush cause I’m still mostly working on smaller paper….do love your brushes and palette! Thanks for all the hard work you and your crew have done this week…throughly enjoyed every moment….still watching this on replay at 4am! Bit of a night owl cause I live in south TX and my painting space is in my garage. Even with a portable ac unit it’s been too hot to paint during the day….so you’ve been keeping me company and inspiring me in the wee hours of the morning! ❤️🐝
I love your crazy!😂
