    In my case I had a bad power cable. Oddly it still provided power, but apparently not enough. Hopefully this helps you sort out your Pro 100 issues.

    Life saver I tell you, I was hurting my head for day and even bought a new Printhead because it was saying that it was a B200 error , only to be just a back power cable.

    thanks for your video: yes I do have a code I can not figure out T. Three flashes. a) Paper output tray is open b) Feed cover slot is closed c) I am not printing on a printable disk. So it has to be a paper jam mode. Nothing is really jammed but a 5 x 7 paper will not advance. I can easily pull it out from the feed but this cycle repeats itself.

    I mean I’ve got a pro 100s and honestly with the number of times I’ve just given up printing something because of an error with it is just too much. Plus not that impressed with the results compared to the price. Sometimes I have to use my dads £40 HP printer... that works every time without fail. Thanks for the video though

    My cable wasn't plugged in all the way. Ten alternating white/yellow flashes. It's the design of the printer, probably nothing wrong with your cable, just better/deeper insertion with thr replacement cable.

    Mine is flashing the alarm/ white yellow ones 17 times, I contacted support, they said hardware malfunction, but I did not buy it from an authorized dealer, so they won't replace it. Any advice? I will try flipping my cord just in case that works.

    The orange light is flashing 3 times then stops, and I’m getting the error on my phone that the “Printer Cover is open,” when it is clearly closed. I’ve opened/closed everything, pressed and held down the orange button, unplugged it- left it unplugged, reinserted the paper with 10-15 sheets +-, and nothing is working. I just replaced my old Pro-100 with this used one, and when I opened it, there was a piece of the paper cover that had broken off of the main cover- I managed to fix it…or so I thought! Any thoughts?!

    I have the exact same problem. Took it out of the box, followed the instructions to set up. It turned solid white and installed the printer head and inks. Inks lid up red as they should, but then when as I closed the lid, made some loud clicking noises and then got the flashing lights. Now the printer head won’t more and the inks aren’t lit up red. Tried a different power cord but didn’t work so guess I’ll have to call customer support and hope it’s an easy fix

    First, thanks for the video... It's seemed to help many people. Unfortunately, I'm not in that group... I have a Pixma PRO-10 that's about 1 year old. Then one day I turned it on and the light started blinking away like yours, so when I found your video, I thought I'd found the solution... I live in Latin America and I have not been able to get a response from Canon LA... does anyone have an email address for technical help at Canon in the USA? By the way, I went to Canon LA website, where they offer email, telephone, and online chat support... guess what? They don't answer emails, their phone line is disconnected, and their online chat is just a blank page.

      Hey John, I recently had the exact same problem with HP. I think it all has to do with California lockdowns because of all this Covid crap. I had luck contacting HP via their facebook page. I think because I posted a negative post on their page, they were very quick to respond. I was thinking about doing a video on the topic.

    • @jcbuttons
      @jcbuttons Před 2 lety

      Ive solved a problem with my Pro-100 a few times by doing a hardware reset. I forget the combination of button presses but that solves it every time. I don't think its what Canon says either, the 'hold the resume/cancel until power flashes 9 times.' Good luck, its likely not dead. When i called Canon support in the Before Times, I told them about the flashing ring of death and they wouldnt even help me further. THey told they needed me to ship it to another state for review and then maybe pay 200 bucks for a new print head + fees. It was none of that. GOOD LUCK!

    This printer is pure garbage. I got this as a gift for my grandmother and her photography and it's no wonder she never bothered to use it, because literally all it does is spit out bullshit blinking errors because it can't do something as simple as feed itself official Canon photo paper. This thing is straight e-waste.
