  • Fly with us into beautiful coastal Half Moon Bay Airport on Runway 30. Fog and coastal stratus are common and take a while to burn off so keep your eye on the weather before flying in.
Transient Parking can be found west of the terminal. There is plenty of transient parking with chain tie downs available.
The Pilot Light Café on field is known for their dutch baby. Get there before 2pm to enjoy the food and cooler weather.
Additional restaurants, along with hiking trails and overnight accommodations are a short walk from the south end of the airport.
Reasonably priced self-serve avgas is available and adjacent to the transient parking area.
    Overnight Fees
    $15 single engine overnight
    $25 multi-engine overnight
The overnight fee includes access to the camping area, complete with a fire pit, firewood, fire extinguisher, picnic table and shared portable restrooms.

There is also transient parking on the southeast corner of the field with a small campsite and a pedestrian gate into town with several restaurants.

We only learned about this recently which is definitely great to know. We wish we would have known on our first visit but a reason to go back😅. Thanks Trevor!

Question. Where do you mount your camera / GoPro? The positioning is great. Clear image and you capture just enough engine and ambient noise.

@@fishbone470 We mount them on the tiedown loops on the wings and tail. My wife does all the filming which leaves me to do what a pilot must do first and foremost, aviate😆. She does an amazing job with filming.

I was there on Jul 19, used the south tie-downs and went to lunch in Princeton just outside the gate. What cameras do you use? It looks like you have. 360 camera?

Hey Brian, thats awesome, yeah it was our first time but next time we will definitely park on the south end to do some more exploring.
As far as cameras, we actually don’t use 360s, we use GoPro 9s. Found them to be pretty good for what we do😁.

@@outsidethecockpit One of your videos had a different angle from the same location, so I thought you had a 360 there. I've used a 360 to adjust viewpoints before. Nice work.

@@brianmoffet ah thank you! No we have two cameras, sometimes on both wings and sometimes and wing and tail. We are always experimenting, technically it’s my wife. We will definitely check out some 360s though in the near future, thanks for the heads up!
