The dangers of using Q-tips to clean your ears

- Many people use Q-Tips brand cotton swabs as tool to remove excess ear wax from inside the ear canal, but the Q-Tips box clearly says that the swabs should not be used for this purpose.
This warning has been ignored for decades and people continue to stick Q-Tips in their ears to remove ear wax. Unbeknownst to them, they could actually be exacerbating the problem.

They don't want us to use qtips for what we buy them to do 😆
The ringing just gets worse after a few days of not cleaning my ears with q-tips.
I used to use q-tips to clean my ears until I found out that I perforated my ear drum by using them. My advice is to people don't use them to clean your ears because your ears will be sensitive to sound and you'll be in extreme pain.

What’s the name of the sticks they use for Q-Tips? There’s one style of the sticks where they are pretty smooth and then it’s another where they are kind of hard and rough, what’s the name of those if anyone knows?

Funny, i use them not quite often in the ears, instead I use them to clean the computer, toys, etc. very useful.

I haven't seen anyone do it like me I actually wet them then stretches their head a bit sort of like a mop then gently clean the walls of my ears

Q-tips are really bad for your ears why because I had a shower then I used Q-tips push the wax and was so bad
I use it for applying ointments on my skin allergies so i don't have to keep on washing ny hands.
Sooo im not supposed to clear my ear at all?
there's other ways to do so but it's recommended you keep your ear wax it's like showering how you're supposed to only use cold water and only shower when you need to and not everyday
