The girl that cried & was clean* I think she just didnt want to be touched/looked at. Some people just can't help feeling anxious of strangers, in power or no, touch them/see them un clothed.
Those who have been sexually abused and/or endured physical abuse, such as beatings, in a past or current relationship may deal with PTSD and struggle to contain a panic attack. I fit both categories and have to sometimes educate medical professionals when it comes to touching me so I can understand how customs can become a nightmare. It is so important that we quietly and calmly educate a person so a search, or medical procedure, can be handled in a way that works with us, the person who has valid reasons to not want to be touched.

If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear. Anxiety and feeling nervous is natural for some people in that situation but if you have done nothing wrong nothing bad is going to happen to you and the check will be over soon and you can go on your way. If you suffer bad anxiety issues just tell them. Most likely they can tell they're used to seeing that everyday.

The techniques for searching the storage containers was extremely remedial
So was the editing for this episode.
So were the "Agents".
This video is so disturbing for a few reasons:
1. they get a search warrant for a house simply from an address on an envelope (who would use their own address?)
2. They drip honey all over attracting insects.
3. They probe food with sticks.
4. One officer looks at the open honey container like he had no means to actually seal it back up.
5. They use a knife to sample the powder (presumably could be contaminated from previous test)
6. They find out people are not carrying anything and still act like they are guilty ("That's all we can do", and shrugs).

Yes some methodology and attitude adjustment would be good and maybe a sniffer dog would confirm very quickly even internal concealments, rather than a judgemental hunch.

Yes. They get mad, not at the potential suspect, but mad at the fact that they just wasted their time and likely missed real targets. It’s not the job of the police to be super friendly and nice. If they want to be friendly, then that’s totally fine, but they don’t have any obligation to be all lovey duvy and cuddly toward anyone.

The look of disappointment on agents faces when passengers don’t have drugs is a clear indicator of their guilty until proven innocent mentality. This is not to say that smuggling doesn’t happen, but there’s no reason to assume that everyone is a drug mule or a trafficker, as evidenced by the low amount of seizures, even in a show like this that got to pick the best footage.

Dogs can smell one stone different from the others on an entier football field, that's how strong their smell is. Most likely there where leftover drugs on the hands, cloths etc that made the dog give the signal. However, yes it's impressive.
yes the problem with dogs and their weakness is not their sense of smell but rather the fact they are dogs and have complex not fully understood relationships with their trainers that bias results but also a dogs instincts like smelling other dogs or animal urine will interfere with results. Also chemicals that overwhelm and disable the olfactory sense like bleach lidocaine or cocaine. Also high frequencies will interfere with the result.

Most of the time the K9 officer "makes" the dog alert so they can continue search- Im not saying this out of paranoia- it's a WELL KNOWN fact. It's hard to say if the dog indicated off scent or off the K9 officers instructions
@@DetroitFettyghost Thinking of that, there should be logs of each dog so in court that can be an issue to be discussed the confirmed positive vs. confirmed negative dog alerts. At a certain point of negative alerts, the dog may need to 'find a different job'.
It’s pretty obvious the agents working that room are the least professional of the bunch. There are some pretty good reasons why a women wouldn’t want someone touching her body.

Maybe she had a really bad day and that's why she was upset but this couldn't help. She was pretty young. I'd guess 21 at the most. My daughter is 19 I am not sure how well she would handle this experience if I wasn't with her.

Fascinating that most of the people they assume are guilty actually have done nothing at the end of the day. I worked for a business that had their container of cheese held by customs long enough to ruin the entire container of cheese for no good reason. How many other businesses suffer huge loses or just general damage to their goods with no compensation with invasive searches without cause?
Drugs are not that harmful. People need better education and mental health care rather than these idiots wasting the time of everyone

@@JazzFunkNobby1964 No and learned that the hard way. Fortunately only lost $200 worth of mail order model kits in the process. Parcel insurance is null and void if customs damages contents. No explanation from customs on why the kits were pillaged but I suspect the photo etched parts probably raised a few red flags as they likely show up as dense objects when X rayed.

I'm not sure if the intent of this documentary is to show the ineffectiveness of interdiction efforts, but it certainly seems effective. You can see the thwarted frustration in the border patrol agents when they go after people who we're not carrying anything illegal.

It's a felony to tamper with food. That honey is easily 50 gallons about 5000 plus retail dollars. They made a mess and stuck a Contaminated object into it. I have so many questions.

Now I’m worried for products packed in US (harvest/ manufactured overseas) now because those companies most probably buy in bulk and pack it in their US factory which means there’s a chance that probe has poked or dirty gloves touching into the bulk packaging.
This is not even considering all the cross contamination.
Well now I will think twice before I buy honey again. I seriously doubt that probe was clean before he stuck it inside the drum. 🤢🤢🤢
This is raw bulk honey and will be processed at the factory before being bottled for retail. Honey does have an antimicrobial capability that keeps it from being contaminated. What is concerning to me is how they tear things up (opening the barrels) and fail too reseal them. That is the lack of respect for other people's property that has been mentioned by others on this thread.

I don't understand your argument or mentality. Are you saying border security shouldn't have the legal power to detain and check individuals entering the US, whether they're legal citizens or not?? That's just crazy. They have a job to do and it's an important one to protect the security of everyone else in the US and the country itself. You have no idea what people could be trying to smuggle in, and everyone is a potential smuggler..certain things get their attention. Once you cross international borders you put yourself in that situation where you could be checked over, anyone potentially has to go through it if they suspect something is off or just on random checks which are routine by Customs. It's not pleasant sometimes and maybe embarassing to some people but once you enter a country you're possibly going to get checked over or just questioned by border security.
I've been checked in a side room by UK Customs and had all my luggage emptied and walking stick even taken apart.. but I just accepted these guys are just doing their job it's nothing personal and they don't abuse that legal power.. I was treated with respect but also suspicion after coming from a place known as a drugs gateway into UK and just my formal clothing for a vacation and sllightly nervous personality made them a bit suspicious I think. I didn't take it personally or think my rights had been violated in anyway in fact I commend the UK border security for being so vigilent and thorough.

These episodes seem to follow the same pattern: these people look suspicious, turns out they're not. Next, we may have a solid lead, ok not so much but we're working hard, and then end it with a bust or 2.

That is not the behavior of someone who "had something". That is the behavior of a trauma survivor, or someone who has never been closely examined, especially by a stranger. I know you have a job to do. I know people try to cry their way out of situations. But remember not everyone is a criminal. Have some empathy and compassion. Like you, that young lady is a human being. Suspicion is one thing but being callous is another.

In my early 20s, I went to the DR by myself for cosmetic surgery. I was embarrassed & didn’t want to say I came for a BBL lmao so in hindsight, I was highly sus. Saying I went to be with people I met online. Which wasn’t false haha. Then obviously I went to a special place for further questioning. Totally understood, got it sorted out, & made my connecting flight. Although I missed my flight by a minute…..

most ppl that go to places know who,what when, and where when they come back.. the BP agent asked her what she was doing in mexico and she said she didn't know..thats probable cause..she was evasive and dismissive with the questioning too
You have to accept and expect to be detained and searched or questioned when you leave and enter a country or enter a country for the first time, especially coming from a place known to be a major drugs gateway into that country. Their story was odd and her appearance and behaviour was off and suggested to me drug user. Not everyone is like you say, but border security are like police and have a 6th sense almost for smugglers and deceiption. It's from years of doing this daily they gain that ability, same as police in questioning people they just know if you're lying or holding back.
Does Miss blue hair really think it's bad border security are just doing their job which is to protect the US public and country from international smuggling? It's a given I'd say if you look like these two girls coming from Mexico with an odd reason for travel to border security that you're more likely to come under closer scrutiny and have an inspection done. Happens to people every day from all walks of life but most people fit a certain profile or give off red flags to border security. Most people don't take it personally and just accept border security has a job to do and it requires checking people and items entering the country.

So you’re telling me it’s $300 for 1 gram of fentanyl😂😂😂it’s more around $50-$150 MAX , so really it’s value is around $12,000-$35,000 and it’s probably closer to the lower end. Ofc it’s still bad and that’s still quite a bit of money but it’s just strange to me how they exaggerate the price so much

They were fentanyl presses, so it wasn't anywhere near pure fentanyl. Each one of those pills probably had a small amount of fentanyl in them since theyre knockoff pharmaceutical pills.
