Jurin's dance role model is koharu sugawara, so I'm not surprised why her movements are really good. Overall the choreo is chef's kiss and I truly hope they get recognized and supported. Tbh it doesn't matter if they have the most beautiful dance if the members can't execute it. XG, in this case, ate this up. I'm excited what they'll do next!!
I don't agree with you in 1 point. Your role model can be.. Lisa, Kyoka, Svetlana Zacharova, but you never be like them. Dance is an art and each artist is unique. A dancer shines with its own light. So Jurin can be inspired by K. Sugawara, but the dance skill owes to herself. And I agree with all the rest.
@@beata3540 I don't think they mean it as "she dances just like her role model" but more of the fact that bc one of her role models is this successful dancer, it makes sense that Jurin puts in a lot of effort into that craft. I think you're taking it as some afront towards Jurin's uniqueness/individuality or something when that's not the case. (I'm also not trying to be argumentative, just offering clarification! 😭)

Jurin captivates all my attention most of the time. She's a mesmerizing performer, her charisma is insane.
Hats off to the choreographers, Sienna Lalau and Kiel Tutin. They laid the groundwork and then the XG members took it and owned it. They made it look so easy but judging by the cover dances by dance teams around the world, it is hard as hell to make it as smooth and joy full as XG does it. I am in awe of how they are able to seamlessly combine 90s R&B and current dance techniques and put together a absolute banger of a song and video. XG in dance formations, the synchronicity, the smoothness, are unbelievable!.
That is so true. Seeing some peeps dancing with their songs it ain't no easy. Xg made my standards so high when it comes to dancing.
They can do it with this girls, only if you have such skillful team you are limitless in your creativity so Sienna Kiel and XG are a perfect combo

The dance technique used in this song might not be too difficult and very simple but it fits the song and is on the point, you don't need complicated dance techniques to make it look great but the important thing is that it has to match the concept/genre of the song being performed, and yeah they own it and eat it.
As a cover dancer I can confirm! It looks easy but execution is difficult, you need a great balance of control and swag, usually I can clean a choreo fast after learning but this has taken me around a week to really clean on my own! Start full group rehearsals in a few days so I’m interested to see how difficult syncing will be

What else can be said about these young queens. Their talent and charisma is unlike anything i have seen in a VERY log time and i'm old skool. If they dont explode globally then it just reconfirms how ridiculous the music industry really is. They really need more exposure in the U.S. somehow. Hopefully it will finally happen with their upcoming mini LP that they announced.

They did a tik tok with their choreographer who happens to be, of course, the legend Kiel Tutin. That guy is a kpop choreo genius.

I know that nowadays there are many k-pop idols who want to try carrying out the R&B concept but it feels very awkward because they just mix various genres and sometimes it doesn't fits well. It's different from what XG did because their R&B concept/genre is very on the point and straight forward bops both in terms of songs, outfit style, choreo and music videos with a bit of a modern pop/hip hop dance but it fits perfectly and blends in. XG is the real deal considering they also admit that their core genre/identity is hip hop and R&B and they are also fans of several hip hop and R&B singers (TLC, Destiny Child's, Lauryn Hill and Aaliyah) which makes me love them even more. Kudos to them😍🥰❤.
You know what part of the choreo I bet people always overlook in terms of difficulty? Hinata's footwork at 9:32. She takes a whole bunch of very short, very quick steps and yet stays right on the beat and moves at a perfectly consistent speed. There's no goddamn way that's easy. She must've put in a ton of effort to make it look that smooth.
Yes. And what about Juria moving 2 positions back and right of Jurin and spaced perfectly not to hit Jurin’s elbow? She does it twice in the choreo and every live stage perfectly. She is underrated as a dancer because as a main vocal you don’t expect as much ( Chisa, too). They are both great dancers and match the team while singing so smoothly. 7 dance aces!

Their precision is like a Dance Crew, and their confidence and joy is amazing, you really see the art of what they are doing, and the musicality of the choreo is phenomenal and really enhances the visual /musical art. After listening to Shooting Stars and Left Right back-to-back, I just realized that I prefer Left Right. It's my favourite of the two.
I know it's hard to choose because both are so good but when they released an MV for it it just made me love it even more.

What I find crazy is, when they're changing positions, they never looked at the spot( OR EACH OTHER) that they're going to, Like they knew no one's gonna block them going to that position. Plus never look at the ground (their sides). Their head turns are in sync and just on point. THESE BLOWS MY MIND 😂😂. Love them 🔥

the transition from juria and jurin getting in formation at 21:48 for the chorus amazes me, one wrong move and theyd bump into each other and might get hurt 😭 but they do it so smoothly and quick! i wonder how long it took to get it down and at the speed they need in time for the chorus.
Exactly! They do it twice and then on every live performance! Easily overlooked. Many haters may say the choreo is simple, but the precision required is next level, and they execute like a YGX or similar dance crew, not like beautiful singers and rappers.

The thing I love about XG is their consistent quality. Like you said before Shooting Star / Left Right, they stayed pretty unknown. Like, they didn’t get the same hype as new idol groups that just debut from the BIG 3+1… But from the video of their predebut vs now as I’m speaking (GRL GVNG era), their releases, their music and their contents are constantly good quality. And I feel it’s only gonna get better and better from now on
XG is a group where it’s so refreshing to see that they have so much fun when they perform. They’ve gotten so much attention lately from so many people and they really deserve it considering that they are more of a global kind of group and want to have an impact everywhere. Like they said XG means extraordinary girls and they define it exactly with how good they do as a group. I truly can’t wait to see their rise as they go through each new era of performing

That's just what I thought! TLC. It was my fav group when I was in my 18s and they give me a similar vibe while dancing. No scrubs it was great both song and MV it iwas similar to Michael and Janet Jackson Scream. 😍

Funny that you said TLC vibes at the intro, I had the exact same thought. I love this resurgence of 90s 00s R&B hip hop sound with sprinkles of modern music techniques, it's so nostalgic for those of us that grew up with it.
My only gripe with XG has nothing to do with the group members, it's against the company debuting them so young. I'm super against debuting minors, if they're still in school AND having to train as an idol, when do they have time to be a kid and just enjoy time with their friends? I remember an interview with an idol recently that said they would wake up at 5:30, go to class from 8am to 4PM, go to train until around 9PM, and then sometimes go to a hagwon until 11 or 12. Most don't get to sleep until around 1 or 2 and do it again the next day.
