How to reset your RCD

Thank you. Looks like you saved a lot of lives. Just moved in to property. 1st meal. Turned on fancy new oven. Boom all electrics off. I didn't learn my lesson. Just turned rcd back on and it went 4 times more times. Rcd would not reset. With on 10% phone battery I was desperate. You really did save my life in a rural area, don't know anyone nearby. Electrics back. Phone plugged in. Will have to get oven sorted next week 🙌

In case this applies to anyone else… I was scrubbing the cooker with baking soda and vinegar and the RCD tripped and the sockets circuit seemed to be the problem. I unplugged everything and the RCD kept tripping every time I switched the sockets circuit back on.
I left it over night, and tried the RCD again after switching on the circuits back on and the RCD reset successfully. For me, I think it was the time overnight that allowed the cooker to dry from the liquidy mixture of baking soda and vinegar. So keep that in mind, before you have to call the electrician!

Thank you, this worked. I spilled some water from the kettle and then couldn't power it up. I later noticed my fridge freezer did not have power.
I guess the fuse box is doing it's job ❤❤
