Haha I have yet to find a crt small enough. There's a cool little handheld one that would be perfect if not for the tube making it twice as long as the screen. This one - a.co/d/aphlm8b Almost perfect. 4 inch screen. But the lower part makes it too long. Hoping to find some sort of fresnel lens or something that has that curved crt screen look. Might have to make it myself somehow.

Thanks! You should give it a go if you're interested though. I'm pretty much a noob with raspberry pi and it's been pretty smooth sailing as far as learning how to code with python. The biggest hold up has been creating the 3D model because I'm not very good at sizing things apparently lol. But I just got a new 3D Printer and things are moving along now 👍 I like your avatar by the way...love the boondocks ✌️😆

This is so cool! Where are you getting the code for this? I'm working on a raspberry pi Fallout Pipboy themed cyberdeck and I'd love to get a system like this. I think someone else also had some fun code for a green Fallout Pipboy map GPS. I'm really shocked there isn't a larger collaborative effort in the community, Fallout is perfect for tinkerers
I'm surprised there isn't a community for it too. When I started this project, I tried to reach out to a few others online that have posted their pipboys. But none of them were really interested in collaborating with me or they were too busy. I also downloaded the 3000 code from github! Lol. This one - github.com/sabas1080/pypboy It's pretty cool. I'll definitely try to do a map like that when I'm done with the 2000. 👍
@@Wasteland_Wanderer76 How the heck do you get that software working? It seems like a lot of people are using it, but I'm not having a bit of luck. I've tried the standalone version for the pi 2b and a pi3 with the version of Jessie they recommend.
