@@nhpatterns I've made two! Both turned out beautiful, waiting on new fabric for a third with a matching pair of shorts!

Thank you for this video!! It was super helpful, as this was my first garment project.
I made this top for a specific concert in a cotton fabric. I'm noticing the back doesn't want to stay tightly tied (it feels more secure in my test fabric one). I'm thinking of attaching a hidden snap where the back ties or something to add extra security. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry I’ve only just seen this! Some fabrics don’t hold as well as others if they’re either too thick or a bit sloppy but yes that would work, or you could do some sort of hidden ties but small spaghetti strap ones? You could insert them in the seam where the tie joins to the rest of the top and then tie these first and your bigger tie on top (hopefully that makes sense)

I know that you didn't show it in your video, but do you top stitch the cups also?

    • @nhpatterns

No, as it is not a moulded cup and is a softer style , it doesn't really need it! I find that if you don't topstitch the centre seams of the cups, you get a softer fit that fits around the bust a little nicer in these triangle styles :)
