I followed this tutorial step by step and managed to connect with my station and iPhone with absolutely no problems. Thanks a lot for this tutorial. Very helpful.
Hi! 1. The best location is environment with no shelter around and a height of about 2 meters. 2. The device can be powered by both solar and battery. If there is sufficient sunlight, no charging is required.
Harsh - whats outdated? I mean, yeah the wifi is 2.5ghz, but thats about it right?? there would be no advantage to using 5ghz here other than a having a weaker signal 😕
@@ecowittweather no it didnt, i needed to go to sensors ID on app and select channel is broadcasting and click register for some reason, other way it didnt register it. Now its all working, contacted ecowitt support and they gave me that information. Thanks anyways :) . But another problem now occurred - its says it works 100 meters radius, but my fish pond its only around 6-8 meters far away from ecowitt gateway and its lost connection, unless i bring my pool thermometer around 3 meters from ecowitt - it won't connect. Stright line of wiev - i can see the pool thermometer trough my window (First floor) and ecowitt is attached on window - but still does not connects. No obstacles or anything to interfere! Is there way i can extend the signal? Otherway, i need put my ecowitt gateway outside... but ecowitt isnt water proof...
I cant connect the damn thing to the internet. Horrible to setup. Every damn time i try to connect it says internet may not be available. I will return to Amazon and buy something good.
Off the top of my head, I can't tell you. I just know that I did make the connection, and it has worked on both platforms since then. You'll need to clearly describe the steps you have taken, and the current status of whatever has. worked to this point, if anything. Definitely send that information to the company. I think they tried to help me, and may have added a few clues, but it seems that software engineers are much better at creating complicated systems than they are at explaining them--especially if English isn't their native language. It's a major frustration in the computer age. We are all tormented by the gizmos which promise to do great things--if we could only get them to work. Yet not even their creators can adequately explain how to do that. I'm sorry that I'm three months removed from the process now, for your sake, because that means I'd have to re-teach myself just what the hell I did. I would emphasize being able yourself, ourselves, to describe and compare the steps you are taking with the instructions the manufacturer gives. Then formulate a question for what happens at the point where your process fails, or doesn't match theirs. Good luck. @@hamilton7181

Is there any instruction how to connect Pool Thermometer WN36 to the ecowitt getaway???
After the WN36 is powered on, the GW1100 automatically receives data from the WN36

Thanks your feedback, we will consider filling the screen. The video can be adjusted speed, click the gear in the right bottom corner of the video.
Typical Chinese amateurish content. I’m going with a western made device.
