I had a really rough time for about a day because I needed to repent.
The Lord had withheld his peace from me for a time and I felt terrible and scared.
When I finally realized what was going on I repented and in an instant his peace filled me again.
I was sobbing in gratitude to the Lord for his grace and peace. I can’t live without his peace. I hate that anxious feeling, and I hate not feeling and having that blessed assurance that comes with that peace of God.
This song brings tears to my eyes. What a privilege to take everything to God in prayer.
What a privilege indeed. Praise the Lord. He is my everything. He is my rock and my strong tower. He is my courage, my peace, my love, my best friend, and my God! He is my master and Lord, and I pray I can be with him for all eternity.

Blessed be God, who does not turn away our prayers (Psa 66:20) - May He grant everyone here the petition and desires of their hearts according to His Divine Will and Purpose. All we have to do is what we are doing - taking it to God in prayer! Either way, with PRAYER we WIN!

My dear dad used to sing this a lot; when I was a child ..I loved it then @now I'm a lot older it still makes me cry ..because I sometimes forget to talk to God about things ...my Dad used to say Stop worrying about everything say a prayer and get on with your life ....all will be well,@it, always is ... Your Dad was so right! My dad use to say pretty much the same thing.. he would always tell me.. God has a stopping place for everyone and I've carried those words of wisdom with me all of my life even after he's been gone all these years I can still hear him saying that to me.. I now know God is bigger than anything and anyone.. We should be taking comfort in knowing these things to be true! God bless y'all!!

I remember this beautiful hymn from my Sunday School Days.
I was listening to Derek Prince teaching on mental torment and in his message he mentioned this old wonderful hymn and he reminded the listeners the important of bringing everything to God in prayer.

I spend too much of my time focusing on the evil of this world and the coming judgement of them who refuse to turn themselves over to the Lord, too often I forget to give praise and honor to the Lord because he is not just a righteous judge of the wicked he is also a loving and merciful God who loved me enough to send the Holy Spirit to convict me in my heart and he was merciful enough to accept my earnest plea for salvation, all I remember praying was: "Jesus save me, Jesus please save me." and when I lifted up my head from praying this prayer I was no longer under conviction, in me was stillness and calm. I love the Lord who was merciful enough to save me despite knowing every sinful temptation that I would give in to in this life, praise the Lord my God for coming down in the likeness of sinful flesh to be the eternal sacrifice for the sins of the whole world, who but God is worthy of such praise? No one but him and him alone is worthy to receive praise and honor and glory forever and ever, amen.

I don't understand why so many people feel like God is all about feeling good. If you have problems at work or in relationships then distracting yourself with feel good loving thoughts won't help you. And if you are grieving about passing of loved one it won't help you either. You know the one and ONLY thing where faith WILL help you? To avoid hell when you die. That's it. And that is a very important reason to believe mind you. But what does it ever have to do with all those feel good songs? The eternal destiny of your passed loved one has already been sealed and no amount of feel-good singing will ever change it.
That's actually not true, if you read th bible being saved is a lot more than just going to heaven when we die. If that's the reason anyone believes is to just not go to hell then you missed the point of why Jesus came to save us. We are to have a daily relationship with him and carry everything to the Lord in prayer Philippians 4:8 & Hebrews 4:16
You may have been going through some hard times. We've all been through hard situations. But there is a lot more to life. It's about growing and learning. We are children of a Great Creator.
But like children we must grow. Not just in knowledge and wisdom. But also closer to Our Father in heaven. It is not a religious belief, but more a way of life........
Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth and the life. Non come to the father but through me"
The reason He said that was because He was the only living sacrifice we had to atone for our sin. It's hard to grasp, not many get it. But if you take it to the Lord in prayer. You will understand.
Hi Roman, may God/Lord Jesus bless and keep you safe. You are right, God is not all about feeling good. God is about life, living and experiencing the joy and suffering that comes from living. God says when we are weak and trust in Him then we can experience His grace so He can be glorified. Work issues? Call to God. Grieving, money problems, rejection, poverty, whatever it is shout to to God, scream, beg, plead, be angry but whatever you do trust him. If you trust Father then put your faith in him and sing. Sing and give Him praise. Do it while you are angry and soon you'll realize that you are singing for joy. That is the miracle of God our Father. He will not abandon or forsake you. Father and Lord Jesus loves you. Just remember to talk to Them every single time you encounter issues great or small. God hears you and will bring you out of every trying situation for His glory and His love for you.
My life has been an encyclopedia of of pain, suffering and disasters but it is also full of peace, forgiveness and love. I sing, sing, sing. God is good and He knows and love me. He knows and loves you too. I pray that you will feel his power and presence and love in your life and you will come to sing for joy. God bless you and so do I.
