    Baffled by that ref call. At least 2 penalties on the play, and it seals the game for Nashville

  • @ondras8928
    @ondras8928 Před 6 měsíci +29

    Throwing the puck from behind the net is a penalty regardless of a flame touching it, not like the flames deserve a better fate but that was a miss.

      the decisions made regarding goals by Toronto office is the worse in any sport and I am not a Flames fan.

    • @ivodozi
      @ivodozi Před 6 měsíci

      No, it wasn’t. You see, since it hit a flame in front of the net, it negates anything that came before it. Kinda like the chicken or the egg debate, or the flat earth debate. You see, the earth is clearly flat because that’s what the reviewers in Toronto see.

    How can they miss a call that bad? We all saw it he grabbed the puck and threw it to the front of the net?
    I am confused?

    • @ivodozi
      @ivodozi Před 6 měsíci

      On a certain angle, it looks like he hit with the stick. Despite it being a high stick, that’s the only angle Toronto had, and they had three blind mice reviewing that goal. For gods sake, they need to have impartial people who actually can see reviewing these, not Batman’s grandma.

    • @EastFame
      @EastFame Před 6 měsíci +3

      I don't know, can you really throw a puck at your advantagous position. Imagine catching a puck at a blue line then throw it towards the net like basketball without the need to dribble around other players and then shoot it from short distance after it has landed. In this case it would be fair if the player would be required to throw it down with a need to skate around the net and not drop it over the net 1 feet from the line to make advantagous panic around the net.

    • @sherpajones
      @sherpajones Před 6 měsíci +4

      @@wittybanter96 You can't throw a puck. Doesn't matter who touched it, throwing the puck is a penalty.

      @@sherpajones No, but it blows the play dead. He threw it over the net as well, which should have stopped the play.

    • @reaganharder1480
      @reaganharder1480 Před 6 měsíci

      @@dangermartin69 what exactly is the rule on that anyway? Cause a normal hand pass stoppage only happens if your team is the next to touch it, which was not the case here. And as far as closing your hand on the puck, guys do that all the time when dropping the puck to their feet, so clearly that isn't a penalty. This is rules I've never actually seen explained in a broadcast and the application of them seems so sporadic it's incredibly hard to just figure them out without reading the rulebook

    Preds showing some prowess. They clearly put together a solid performance. Except for that giveaway at the end they were flawless. 45 shots! Been a while. Flames hung tough. Got a bad break on the hand pass otherwise this may go to OT. But who expected the Preds to play this well?

    • @Mulukkis
      @Mulukkis Před 6 měsíci

      They need to learn how to do this on the road and they might actually go somewhere with this. But the team needs a rebuild, so it's all for nothing.

    • @ivodozi
      @ivodozi Před 6 měsíci

      No no no. You can’t do that if you’re a Canadian team. Only certain listed teams in Bettmans “good book” can use the magic rule book. I mean the Ducks aren’t in there either. Definitely the Panthers are there. And so are the preds. We will see who else is in there as the year progresses.

    How can you give that Preds goal when he grabbed the puck and actively tried to drop it into the goal off the goalie's back...?
    One of the worst calls I've ever seen 🤨🤦‍♂ it's either considered a hand pass or an illegal play. It's OBVIOUS!

    • @ivodozi
      @ivodozi Před 6 měsíci

      No it’s not. The rule doesn’t account for gravity, you see. Since it hit that flames player, it clearly wasn’t a hand pass and therefore a good goal. The rules are meant to keep the integrity of hockey, and if it hits an opposing player, then all goals are good. This can be applied to ALL rules now. Trip a player? Np. Bounce a puck off the opponent. Toss the puck over the glass? Np. It was caught by an opposing fan, therefore no delay of game. Cross check someone in the head? He’ll, he touched the puck, and you know that’s MY puck so no pen.
