  • RongWang Restaurant is a Cantonese restaurant specializing in roast meats and also has a variety of quick service plates, such as rice plates, fried noodles and even clay pot rice! I'm in search of decent clay pot rice. Do I find it here?

Hi Arthur, I started watching your video about a month ago. It seems to me that you are focusing on Cantonese cuisine. I like that a lot because that is my favorite food. Good job and keep up with your good work.

Thanks Edmund! I appreciate your viewership! Yes, it's true that I focus on Cantonese cuisine, and more broadly Chinese cuisines of all types. I hope you find these reviews useful in discovering new spots to try!

Glad you liked it. It's not the biggest place, but definitely punches above its weight!

Fan from Elmhurst (46 years) here and I just subscribed. I really like your content as I can relate to your search for traditional flavors at fair prices....

Thanks for the sub! Finding traditional food that is done right AND at reasonable prices are golden these days! That's why I go to even the least reviewed spots. Thanks again!!

Thanks for watching! Yes it was good. I rarely do scales, but it would have rated a 7 out of 10. :)

It looks good. It kind of looks like a Japanese don buri dish.

I used to live in flushing but I left there long time ago and back then there was not many Cantonese food there. Now I think many new spots opened up. Back then the best Cantonese food was corner 28 at the OG spot at the corner of Main and 41th Ave. The food was very good. I don’t know now it is located at the middle of that street. It seems that rice rolls are making a big comeback. Back early 2000 was like ok, you don’t crave it everyday food but now seems like it is popping alot of places due to more innovative way of making it. Joe rice noodle which uses the rice mill is what it is supposed to be but there was never a place that had one. Mostly they used rice flour so the real texture was not there. In Chinatown many places are popping up

Yes as far back as I can remember in the late 70's and 80's, rice rolls were the domain of dim sum restaurants, bakery take outs, and dingy Chinese coffee shops. But man has that changed over the past decade!
