An idea just occurred to me watching this. Imagine if we get some missions like General Randan were we have a online lobby with multiple AC Pilots facing a giant mech that requires squad coordination to take it down. It would be A super robot fans dream fighting a giant robot with his friends.
And it's a huge, level-sized boss; bigger than the Strider. Some pilots have to destroy the engines, others the artillery, others destroy the supporting Point Defense emplacements, others enter the main body and hack into a vulnerability to mess with the main weapons' tracking ability or destroy/disable the pulse shield generator, maybe there's even artillery you can activate like in the Xylem, and then others have to keep the main weapons'/attacker aggro'd so the other players can do their jobs without being overwhelmed.
Elden ring had some good points, but RAID bosses in games like this just don’t work and are a TERRIBLE idea. The lich king from world of Warcraft was a much better raid boss. If you could be robot during that it would be cool I guess. Idk at the is point fromsoft is completely out of ideas. I prefer NIOH myself.
They were called World Bosses in Armored Core V and Verdict Day. 4 (+1 player acting as an operator) ACs against one or various machines in a death match. Some required good coordination and others good AC building to specifically fight them.
