Hey so you just made my life so easy. I booked an aapt. To have my hair colored and some highlights. the stylist asked me what do I have/had in mind at my consultation and tbh I had nothinggggggg.... all i knew Is that I want highlights and color. But you just made me realized indont need colour just yet especially seeing it will be my first time on 4c natural hair. I was thinking a copper color but I don't even know what copper looks like the name sounds nice lol. But she did say she will start off light and after 4 session it should build up to what I have in mind. Brittany's hair looked amazing and you really did the least. I won't mine like hers. How should I say to the stylist what I want? I want classy like Brittany's. Plz helppp!!!
Haircolorists traditionally conduct very thorough consultations prior to scheduling any appointment. Being that we’re visual creatures of habit, As a suggestion I think you should should show her pictures or videos of what you like so she can spot the trend in what you’re going for. That way both of you can be on the same page 😊

As for your scalp, I can’t recommend anything solid because these matters are best observed in person to see if there is a pattern of some sort; it could be so many factors as to why you’re experiencing dry scalp. Common issues are lack of moisture, sensitive scalp, seborrheic dermatitis, allergic reaction, eczema, underactive scalp or sometimes overactive scalp.
Also, Keep in mind there is no such this as a perfect head of hair. Everyone is different and will sometimes require a different regimen ❤️

Hi dear, i have never gotten any hair colr done. My natural hair color is black that i don't want to change i just want some highlights on my natural hair color i.e. Black. I am confused can i get the highlights done on my natural hair color? Or i need to apply any dye to all my hair and then highlights will be done?
Yes Hi lights can be done on any hair color, you just need to be clear on what can be achieved safely.
How do you suggest keeping up with your hair since it’s been bleached?

Intensive treatments that repair the hair shaft by providing strength and moisture are good to use biweekly and sometimes weekly depending on the client. Keeping a clean scalp and shampooing your hair regularly, very limited "protective styles".. any style that prohibits you from accessing your hair should be worn very sparingly, and trimming the hair frequently prevents damage.
