    How do you hold it so it doesn’t move when you jump? That doesn’t seem to be heavy enough. Thank you for the video

      @@movinglikeapro3658 The dimensions of the planks and the planks that you have inside them. And then when you say 2x4, what kind of units are you talking about?

    • @movinglikeapro3658
      @movinglikeapro3658  Před 3 lety

      I think the planks are 34” or 36” inches

    • @movinglikeapro3658
      @movinglikeapro3658  Před 3 lety

      And 2 is the width and 4 is the length I’m pretty sure

    Is it as effective as a real one? Wondering before I build mine

      @movinglikeapro3658  Před 3 lety +3

      Hey. Sorry for the late response. If you can afford the real one and want to buy it of course it is better. But if you are looking for a cheaper option this one is effective as well!

    What length and width did you make the plywood? If its a full sheet of 4*8 what size did you cut them down to?

    • @movinglikeapro3658
      @movinglikeapro3658  Před 3 lety

      You can cut it down to whatever length and width you want it to be!

    That is a nice build. You miss 100% of the premise and function of that equipment!
    Its not the same at all. Again great work. Keep up the good work.

      True - not the same but this is HELPFUL for vertical training as long as you apply the proper bands. Its not the SAME as vertimax, but realistically, for most youth, its 95% just as good for vertical jumping alone. Outside of vertical jumping is where vertimax actually accels!! The running movements require consistent resistance throughout the excercise to get the most out of the workout, and the vertimax basically hides 20yd of bungee cord inside the unit, applying a consistent resistence (at least, more so than most stretch band systems) over that full range of motion (the power of pulleys). But for a kid with a 12 inch vertical, this is pretty helpful. Also, if you want to make this better - take a pulley and attach it to the hip, and then run the resistance band through that pulley (with both sides of the band connected to the floor) - this makes the full range of your vertical more active at the same pressure from start to finish. Even more so with a DOUBLE PULLEY :). You can buy bungee material 1/4inch to 3/8 inch, like Vertimax uses, on amazon and make your own custom bands for this purpose.
