I used to do this. Now I don’t have the time. I just blow most of the dust off with an air gun, rinse gently with a hose, dry with an 18v blower then give them a spray with wd40.

No grease on the outside of the diff teeth with the input gears?
At 10:43 I do recommend adding grease, I add white lithium grease to my ring and pinion gears from Protek RC.
What speed bits do you have?
I personally have an MIP 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 2.5mm

Luckily myy RC’s don’t get dirty, they just squire a patina.
