I recommend divine rivals (book 1) and ruthless vows (book 2). They are great books and don’t have too much fantasy so it’s a good way to get your feet wet. It’s an easy read. Not heavy on world building like some fantasies. There is a good romance and I loved these books
I'd recommend Khalilah not to buy them but to get them from her local library if she can, the publishing house of these books has some really important racism issues and there's a boycott going on

I loved The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy! A wonderful and easy romantacy. I also loved A River Enchanted. It’s by the author of Divine Rivals, which I love. However, I think I like this book even more!

A fantasy that's not too heavy on the romance and really clean (closed door smut) is Throne of Glass by SJM! Personally, I love it more than A Court of Thorns and Roses, but the books are thicker and the series is longer. Also, I recommend A Lesson Before Dying! So so so good but heartbreaking ❤️
I’ve been thinking about reading ToG but I absolutely hate smut- is there any in the later books in the series? I don’t really mind fade to black stuff but I can’t stand descriptive scenes
@@CuteLucky18 the first maybe 5 or 6 books are very closed door, but the last 3 have a little smut, but it's nothing to explicit. SJM doesn't go into detail on what parts go where and all that 😭 and to be honest the romance is INSIDE of the fantasy book, if that makes sense. It more "high fantasy" than a "romantasy". Like there's still romance and love scenes, but if you're comparing it to Cresent City or ACOTAR it's not bad at all. And I was 16 when I read it 🫡 (idk if that was any help 💀) but definitely for ages 16 maybe 15?? and older

My favorite book is Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas. I've only gotten back into reading over the last 9 months or so, and I'm already on my third read of that book. It's YA but it is also a queer, trans, mlm latinx novel by an author who is also all of those things. Fair warning, it excels best in the character and worldbuilding, so if heavy forshadowing that makes figuring out the big bad of the story is not your thing, maybe not for you? But technically, it's a YA paranormal fantasy romance, so hence the suggestion :)

If you’re trying to get into fantasy I would highly, HIGHLY suggest Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson! It’s a standalone (no commitment lol), cute romance and the plot is fast paced! I absolutely could not put it down and I think about this book all the time :)

One of my favourite fantasy trilogy is Serpent & Dove there is a lot of hate towards it but personally I think it’s amazing it’s a witch and a witch hunter who fall in love and it’s so good

I'm reading cursebreaker series, it's a trilogy and in my opinion a brilliant romantisy. 1st book is a beauty and the beast retelling and I absolutely was obsessed. I'm on the 3rd book and I reccomend!

Urban fantasy with a great romance and the cutest subcharacter romance: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. It is my favorite book of all time ♡ Its fast paced because every chapter ends on a "cliffhanger"
For an amazing fantasy with pretty big romance elements, I recommend the ember in the ashes series! Sabaa Tahir is straight up one of my favourite authors of all time, she can do no wrong.

Great video as always! I did not know it was a "nook" but my little area at the top of my bookshelf is HP inspired. I have the books, some trinkets like a Mermaid egg and a Luna Funko Pop and some other vibey things. Also, I need to re-read Legend Born because I am not sure I finished it. I also just bought a YA thriller to try- called Delicious Monsters. Bought it strictly based on the cover art so I hope it slays.

Okay, so a fantasy read that I love (five stars all the way!!) is The Queen's Rising and by Rebecca Ross. I don't really hear people talking about it, but it's honestly awesome, so I think it deserves more hype. And oh my goodness... Cartier! Why aren't book boyfriends real?! There's a sequel, The Queen's Resistance, which is also worth reading but, in my opinion, just wasn't as good as the first book. They're also clean books, which is personally what I prefer.
I recommend at target they have some cheap books shelves like 5 shelf ones for 40 dollars
One of my favorite fantasy series is the Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty! The first book is The City of Brass 😁😁 The last book in the trilogy is a 6 star for me 🥲

I recommend The Dauntless Path series by Intisar Khanani. They are my favorite light fantasy/romance books. They are clean and sweet with high stakes.

I recommend Heartless by Marissa Meyer for a fantasy romance! It’s the origin story of the queen of hearts and the world is super easy to get into but it’s still very whimsical and fun and it has a very cute romance! And I will literally recommend this book to every person I come across because it’s my favorite 😂

the monsters of verity duology by ve schwab is one of my favorites. ve schwab mostly writes fantasy with romance subplots, so this isn't exactly romantasy, but it's so so good. highly recommend!! 🫶🫶

I read symptoms of being human years ago and gave it a 3.5! It's mostly about the main character's everyday thoughts about being genderfluid rather than an actual plot but it was definitely a quick read! (Note: the author is a cis male writing about the pov of a genderfluid character so i would recommend an own voices narrative such as gender queer by maia kobabe instead). Also I think you should group your holiday books together! it would make a cute festive section :)
For romantasy, highly recommend the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber 🎪✨🎠🎩🌹🖤🎟
