The feeling of biting off more than you can chew in the middle of the project, when it starts to feel like just like paint by numbers, enormous amounts of footage and time pressure. Inspite all of that another marvelous painting and great video with good flow and vibes. Just back in my studio from another long travel and this video just adds to the excitement to be here and continue painting myself.

From the other skulls you have done, these turned out improved for sure! While I too hate repetition, it’s the only way we can get better. I painted a pirate themed piece, and though it was ok, I wished I had done a few more skull paintings to get a better handle on the technique.

Love this video it definitely payed off! I love drawing skulls and always have. One day I will even get a skull tatted, but it’s definitely cool to see this process and learn a couple things.

Slew, I love how you say ,”Movin’ on.” To me it means you accept that there are things you might wish were different but this is what you did and learned. That taught me to let go of fiddling and go on to the next project.

I love pop art. I would like to see more balancing of colors. For instance, every color being cool with a slight blue undertone, opposites on the color wheel next to each other. I like a color story as much as a subject story.

I love that you used a pink background for your photos. I just learned that the set for the Addams Family was actually also mostly pink so it was a richer contrast on black and white film. Very cool!

Pricey little Proko skull, but really like the magnetic jaw and screw mount. I have a couple slightly larger skull models from Amazon, but they are annotated for medical reference (cool for some folks, I guess...).
