My grandmother had systemic mastocitosis, also auto immune. Thankfully long before COVID, so she didn’t have to contend with that. Shameful that people are using this to spout crackpot conspiracy theories. My heart goes out to you during this time and I hope the doctors bring their A game to the operating room.

Sorry you have to go through all of this man. When people complain about their day because of something as trivial as a flat tire, I always say "it could always be worse". The world would be a better place if they were thankful for what they DO have instead of envious of what they DON'T have. Also it sucks you have to deal with people trying to blame the COVID vaccines. Just block them and move on. Keep your head up brother. You are in our prayers 🙏
By the way, everyone says we have the best doctors here in Texas (ive been told this at least 50 times). If your condition gets worse, i would look into potentially traveling or moving to the Dallas area. Just a thought.
It's funny you say that. The ER doc that admitted me said that Texas has some of the best docs, too, bit that patient protection from malpractice is limited to $250k basically no matter what
I'm so sorry that you have to waste your time and energy making a video responding to stupid anti-vax conspiracies. That ain't right. I hope there's something that can be done, are lung transplants possible or does your condition disqualify you?
Thanks. I appreciate your comment. I'll likely need a kidney transplant before my lungs fully give up. I was on the transplant list for a while until my kidney function improved enough that I was able to get off dialysis. I'm currently borderline between moderate and severe chronic kidney disease and it will continue to degrade as time goes on. I try to mitigate making it worse by watching what I eat and drink to help limit overwhelming my kidneys. My condition is so rare that treatment methods are all kinda "let's try this and see if it works based on the limited info we have". I've had a good team helping me for years but the hospitals and doctors are just so overwhelmed even now as a result of covid that getting good, consistent treatment is getting harder.
