- A short clip from Episode 6 of The Evil of the Daleks. Originally transmitted in 1967, no video footage of this episode is known to have survived, so this is an animated reconstruction using fan-made audio recordings of the original broadcast.
This clip features 3 Daleks the Doctor has imbued with "the Human Factor"
To see the full story, all 7 Episodes are available for purchase on DVD or Blu Ray from the BBC.
you know there's something so touching about seeing the Doctor having fun with his most hated enemy.
ikr
For once, atleast the people can see The Doctor enjoying things, even if they are near its enemies. Throughton really shows us this incarnation's fun innocence.
Knowing how these daleks are pure and wholesome, makes the final end battle so much more sad
No kidding.
Man, I wish I could have seen the actor for the Doctor just riding on a Dalek saying "It's a game! They're playing a game!" I would think everyone would have laughed at that. If only...
The 15th Doctor should channel his inner 2nd soon. And i hope we get to see more of this scenario in his adventures very soon.
I have to say these Humanized Daleks are creepily adorable.
@Supreme Black Dalek Thank you.
@Dalek Who I definitely 100% liked the Daleks even more than both either the Cybermen and Sontarans.
@Dalek Who Thank you. The Daleks are my Number 1# all time favorite Villains in Doctor Who.
@Dalek Who I strongly agree. They're also geniuses and experts at building powerful weaponry and also awesome Dalek spacecraft too.
@Dalek Who I strongly agree. Daleks VS Storm Troopers! Who Would win?
It's a real shame the original episode doesn't exist. It would have been really funny to see.
Wait what? You mean it was cut?
@@dimitriwarchief301 One of the many erased
@@wisteela sadly only 15 minutes of it exist
@@dimitriwarchief301 in the 60s the BBC were down bad and had to wipe some old recordings to make way for new ones.
@@dimitriwarchief301 Many master copies were destroyed to save on storage, plus re-runs were something of a taboo, and home media was still decades away.
Part of me wonders if this is what the original Kaled mutants were like before Davros tampered with them and if so then I despise the old prune
They were children and fetuses
the mutants exist because of davros
@@jessica_7474 they don't, the raving lunatics exist because of Davros. The mutants existed long before they did
@@SudrianTales you mean mutos? Davros certainly helped
@@Reprodestruxion the dalek mutations were always the end result, Davros just took away their souls.
Notice Gharmin and the others never objected to the blob bit the brain modifications
The way they hold each other’s “hands” as they spin in a circle is great. It’s great we got to see them again in Children of the Revolution, course that ending was depressing.
The real tragedy of the Daleks is just how incorrigible they are. Even in this story, when the Daleks were given humanity by the Doctor, even he wasn't able to get rid of their need to hate and exterminate. All he really managed to do was to redirect their hatred so that they hated their own kind rather than everything else.
Just like with Rusty
I thought it was self defense in regard to the Human Factor Daleks. They were being shot and killed by the Emperor's Daleks after all.
@@_Remorium in the children of the revolution comic story, alpha escaped scaro with some other human daleks and fled to another planet where they built a secret human dalek society. They were more advanced then the normal daleks. So I this case, the doctor managed to finally change the daleks. Even if it wasn't all of them.
@@trainsandtugs oh yeah they would because the Daleks are hyper-competent but blinded by hate and we humans have an imagination
I wish we could see this scenario during 15th Doctor's adventures.
Nobody's mentioning how nice and crispy the audio quality is... like damn, parts of this sound brand spanking new! This is probably Mark Ayres' best remastering work to date!
Hats off to Mr. Ayres !! 👌🏾👍🏾♥️
This scene is my first memory of Doctor Who. I was 5 years old.
Lol long time to be a fan im just starting g but im already in love
i like the animation! its so fluid
Agreed. My mind can recall this as if I saw actual humans acting in it. Very well done.
@@davidthedeaf yes!
I came here to shit on the animation, but I'll be damned! The quality has actually gotten much better. So much so I could compare it to something I might see on cartoon network, more or less
The animation kinda reminds me of archer.
It's easily the best animation I've seen so far ! Bravo to everyone involved !!
My favourite bit in this story! Those daleks were so cute & adorable, behaving like cheerful children!!😄
It made me smile warmly and gives one hope that under the right circumstances, the Daleks can become beings who use their powers and intelligence to help those in need instead of killing them.
I know the Doctor's tried to do this repeatedly and failed but he needs to keep trying as the Daleks despite their many faults have good things about them.
@@girlgarde I think this is the closest time for that
Imagine the modern Daleks doing this
They did serve tea to Winston Churchill in the modern era.
I'd love to hear how Nicholas Briggs could manage their child-like personas.
@@robertmcghintheorca49 I mean he did roast himself tho but I wounded what it would sound liek
@@Enzo012 Yeah but they were faking being nice to provoke the Doctor into saying that they were Daleks and were up to no good so the Progenitor Device which had Dalek DNA that could be used to produce pure Daleks would let them use the DNA to create new Daleks to resurrect their race.
They needed to do this since the three Daleks in question were created from Davros's DNA so the Progenitor didn't regard them as pure Daleks and needed confirmation from the Doctor that they WERE Daleks.
This scene was so surreal in the best way possible. God this story is incredible
The animation quality here is amazing. The Daleks look so realistic here and I love it. I also love how the Daleks sound adorable while keeping their sense of being Creepy and evil at the same time. I also love how you can see the Doctors Utter glee and joy as he plays with the Daleks and I love how he gives them all names and how they are like adorable children. I actually felt sad when one of the black Dalek leaders killed a human factor Dalek and how one of the other human Daleks touches his friend to see if he’s alive it was adorable. Xx
These Daleks are so cute.
My god these Daleks are absolutely adorable.
This is the strangest episode of “Archer” I’ve ever seen.
I kind of wish the doctor would get a malfunctioning dalek as a companion like he's defective in the sense that he doesn't have the hate like his own kind so he gets to go in adventures with the doctor but at the same time he still has that dalek way of acting like yelling exterminate whenever he can
I feel like it would end up being like kamelion
I have a feeling they were more going for ‘cute’, but man are these Daleks creepy to me.
Doctor jumped a bit when the Dalek touched him. A child who was tiny might reach up with a tiny hand to touch or stroke the arm of a nice teacher to show love and affection. But this machine, with a being inside of a hateful race, is frightening.
A human child who is kind, but raised by Nazis, will grow up to be a Nazi.
They were going for both?
I never found them scary or creepy. Always thought they were cute, and a bit silly.
But I also find may insects and arachnids cute so maybe that has a lot to do with it.
Always found it strange how the Doctor went from the first two letters of the Greek Alphabet, then jumped to the last.
He clearly has preferences
It’s weird how the Daleks are creepier when they’re nice 😂
Maybe because it's so uncharacteristic of their usual ruthless behaviour.
They’re at their scariest when they’re offering you a cuppa! 😂
@@EditorOfSL To quote Dalek Monty: "Would you care for some tea?"
@@jamieolberding7731 To which I would say “Eek!” 😂
@@EditorOfSL If a friendly Dalek offered me a glass of Root Beer Soda... I would gladly say yes please.
This is one of the strangest things that’s happened in the long history of Doctor Who… which is quite the impressive feat.
1ST DALEK: DIZZY!
2ND DALEK: DIZZY!
3RD DALEK: DIZZY DOCTOR!
awww the daleks are quite cute here imagine having that as a life long friend
1:53 how the dalek say Omega is so cool and cute at the same time
Good lord imagine these Daleks as hybrids like Sec.
Soon the absolutely unthinkable happens; a Dalek questioning an order!
The humanised Daleks are so cute
So these Daleks were made from Kaled children, their minds still like children. That is so sad
Is possible that this idea was reused by emperor for cult of skaro ie. Dalek Sec, Dalek Thay, Dalek Caan and Dalek Jast.
I hope in the future the Doctor has a Dalek as a companion
What about Rusty?
@@zackman9230 yes. We need more Rusty!
@@zackman9230 I like Rusty, but I much prefer his bittersweet relationship with The Doctor, not really allies nor enemies.
Well had a Cybermen so why not?
gotta love how happy the doctor is in this
This is so well done.
Sometimes in life there are no words. Just sit back and appreciate the wholesomeness.
This is so unsettling... I expect them to turn around suddenly any moment and go "You HAVE BEEN FOOOOOLED, DOCTAAAR!!!!! WE ARE NOT FRIENDLYYYY!!! EXTERMINATE!!!"
The Doctor telling the Emperor Dalek that the humanised Daleks would begin to question and that there will be a rebellion. So true . The Doctor knew it would lead to their destruction.
Damn cans, they're as adorable as they are terrifying when they put their minds to it.
Compared to all the other animated missing episodes, this looks amazing! Sadly, with some of the previous releases, I thought the low budget fan animations were sometimes better than the official versions
Dizzy Daleks! : D
Love that the Dalek used it’s manipulator arm to bump the doctor and say friend
Love this, this is amazing
Isn’t the detailing on the wood and the windows outdoors nice?
man Archer really took a wild turn
The second doctor tried to humanize the Daleks the war doctor wanted to destroy them lol
He had little choice. The Time Lords were so scared of losing the war they would’ve wiped out the universe. At least 12 managed to humanize Rusty.
@@potsdam28 rusty was never a good d alek though.....12 is a good dalek
As much more creepy as this scene is in the Audible version, it's still nice to have the option of a video reconstruction. This animation is much better than what was in The Web of Fear. WTF were they thinking, using that style of animation. Half of what makes a reconstruction good is having it still looking it's age to some degree. That's why I only watch the B&W 4:3 disc, unless the extras are split up on different discs. One positive I can't argue with was finally seeing the Doctor's first encounter with the Brigadier. Telesnaps are depressing enough to look at that they make audio only preferable by comparison.
I do wish we had this actual episode instead of episode 2 from the dull half of this story
I like trains.
@working at mc donalds TrAaAaInSsSs...
This animation is AMAZING!
why the daleks soooooo cute?
Does he remember this in the Time War?
And when they talked about going back my heart just shattered
I love this bit.
One problem with animation is the limited movement - especially when see in close comparison to the sole original - eisode 2. The director and actors - even limited by shooting on a video set in stage conditions manages to fill the screen with eye-catching movement and configurations.
It is a shame in real life children do not grow up as fast asthese Daleks do
Awesome! Its one of my favourite serials
Oooh I'm So looking forward in getting This One on Blu-ray when it gets released Here in My Australia on November Yippee!!!!👍
If there is classic who then this is classic classic Dr. Who. I love it!
Actually, on a technical level
This would be new who because it's got the new 2end doctor
And modern doctor who would be new new new new new new new new new new new new new new new Doctor who
Hahaha
That animation is magnificent
This story is genius.
this made me dicide to order it lol
theses daleks were so innocent it a pity the doctor used them to commit genocide
I will be glad when I buy the dvd of this incomplete story
Maxtibles beard seems not bushy enough...but this is the best animation so far
2nd doctor is just having fun!
IT'S A GAME JAMIE!
THEY PLAYING A GAME.
Have more stories been restored then? I've been sort of out of the loop on such news.
I stopped following Doctor Who about 10 years ago, so until recently I was only aware of The Invasion being restored. Several animated restorations have been released since, six in the last three years. This is a good time to get back into the franchise :)
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_missing_episodes check the 'animated episodes' section
They're like evil Teletubbies 😂
Classic dr who story, evil of the daleks
Those are the only Daleks I like
Daleks messing around with the doctor.
In the original, was the Doctor using his flute for the whistling?
Why are they scarier than the normal Daleks though
They’re like creepy robot teletubbies😂
"It's a game, Jamie! They're playing a game! It's *gay!-"*
Awww...I want one as a pet.
This animation is way better then the faceless ones and the web of fear ep3s animation
Thank the producers for modern renditions of classic Doctor who stories which I must admit beats the lacklustre contribution from Chinballs and co.
What left for Patrick and William harnell galaxy 4.coming out next month
What exactly is trains and roundabout?
I would give anything to see the original this is fucking great tho
Aww
Cute
The three little daleks
Oh ok that’s cute ❤
