Thanks Randy, it is has really been fun and I owe a lot from you that helped along the way!!!
he does do a great, informative job.
@@TheRVANDY9 I second that!
This some wholesome shit right here.
Thank You, I know more than I did about My Keurig. ❤
Most clear and comprehensive video on reusable K-cups I've ever seen!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for taking the time to leave such nice words!!!
What is your favorite coffee?
@@JustADad Believe it or not I have no idea. I've always just drank whatever they have at the office. At 59, I think maybe it's time I get my own coffee maker.
@@Rick_Cavallaro Lol, yeah there is some really good coffee out there, I like paul Newmans coffee
@@JustADad I will give that a try. Thanks.
I ordered the Paul Newman coffee on your recommendation. It came yesterday, and I had my first ever cup of home brewed coffee. Very good. Thanks for the recommendation!
I make my own paper filters by cutting the filters for large drip coffee makers in half, making a cone and the folding the bottom of the cone to make it fit the pod. It's less expensive, I get 300 filters at my dollar store for $2, so it makes 600, as opposed to nearly $10 for 100 of the preformed filters.
Oh my goodness I had to search to find this comment again because I tried this and it’s a game changer! I’ve been cutting down the filters already, but I waste so much cutting one filter out of each. Now I can cut them in half and use the whole thing! You are a genius!
I am going to try this.
Thank You for sharing this information. ❤
I love how you take your time to explain every feature sometimes I watch a video trying to understand and have to replay to catch up with demo. Great video. As a senior I love the reusable cup I have been using it for years without filter and I am ok with it. Thanks for your help.
Happy to help!
A little bit of sediment is not going to kill you (heck, you are advised by doctors to take in a lot vegetable/fruit fibers, oops, wood fiber) while saving all the trouble and money. And if you absolutely do not like it, just discard the last sip of coffee that have the most sediment in them.
If you're old enough to have routinely drunk coffee from an old-fashioned percolator, you would have gotten into the habit of always leaving a little coffee in the bottom of your cup. It's been 60 years, but I do this to this day.
Wow thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you so much. This really did help. I promised my husband that I'd try to offset the cost of a piece of furniture we needed by cutting things out. The cost of the kcups is just getting too expensive for us right now because I got sick and had to resign from my job. I really appreciate how thorough you were in this video. Have a great day and blessings over you!
Wonderful!
This was a great video. I just got my purple pod filter filters today and noticed a difference in the sediment. You just proved it. Now I know the extra cost is worth the extra effort and cost. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
This is one of the most informative videos I have ever seen. Your voice was slow, very understandable, and the video quality was well filmed. Wish all tutorials were this clear!
Wow, thank you!
Beautifully done. Thorough and without preconceived opinions.
Thank you kindly!
Thank you, this helped out SO much! I was wondering why my coffee came out weird when I first started using the reusable filter, but I guess I wasn't using enough grounds + they were far too finely ground + no paper filter! Thank you so much, now I can use it properly and no longer buy the pods!
You're so welcome!
Yes! I lived with the sediment for a few years before I discovered the little filters. What a difference they make!
I never use those filters with mine......Iv'e had some sittingon the counter for several years... You don't need them....They are too much trouble. & it works better without them..I've been doing this for years, as I've had serval Keurigs( Ever since they first came out.). The main thing is the closing of the pods, it has to be clean. I have coffee measurers for the re-usable pods, it really helps with the measuring of the coffee. If you get some on the top , just wipe it off with a paper towel.and also, I use the second button, not the first., this guy likes really weak coffee, you can see through his coffee! That first button doesn't fill the coffee mug And for the larger cup, I use the 3rd button. I use the top one. And, also you can put the pods in the dishwasher, every so often. Aways make sure they are rinsed out really good...and wipe the coffee off with the paper towel, if you get too much coffee in the pod......
Great job of explaining. Very soothing voice. Going to order the pod and filters. Thank you.
Thank you Dad! I never made coffee using a K-cup. But now I do!
This was extremely helpful!!! I’ve been using a reusable pod without the paper filter and thought it was my machine. Thank you so much!!
You are so welcome!
thanks for showing thee whole process I have been looking for this
No problem! glad it helped!!!
Thanks for showing us this video as I did not know about the filters for the reusable pods.
Very nice! I bought a Keurig K-Select this week, and I bought that scoop and reusable K-cup kit along with it. I am so glad I came across this video, I was looking at the paper filters in the store and my first thought was "Well, why would I need the paper filters when I have the mesh on the reusable pods?" Now I know, and I'm gonna go back to the friggin' store and buy those filters like I should have done in the first place, haha!
Wonderful!
Thank you for the demo. I just bought the refillable cups and waiting on the filters from amazon. They are more work but cheaper than the disposable ones. ☕️
I really appreciate that you took the time to show me how to better the the coffee experience. Thanks
you are so welcome!
Thank you so much... I use the reusable K-cups and never thought of using the filters... I'll have to give them a try.
Thanks for Watching and glad it helped!!
Good advice! I use a reusable coffee pod with a filter, and my cup of coffee always taste delicious!! Thank you for explaining the difference in the ways to use the coffee pods, and the regular coffee pot.
Very well executed video… I learned a lot! Thank you for taking the time to show all the options.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video. You are very patient and explain things very thoroughly!
Wow!! Thanks so much!!
Just bought my first Keurig. Great video!! ☕️☕️
you gave an excellent review!! I wish all vids were as clear and really informative as this. Thank you.
Wow thanks so much!
Brilliant and well done. Espcecially doing the side by side and bringing in the concept of the filter which i will try. Keep posting!
Much appreciated!
I'm so glad that you made this video.
Absolutely right. paper filter required with reusable k cup. figured this out the hard way. i hate sediment. thanks! a few years ago, tiny filters were hard to find.
Good to know actually that's beautiful
Great videos, I have watched them all. Thank you for showing them all. It helped me a lot with my new machine. I love it. I learn better by watching and not reading.

Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for. I got a keurig for Christmas and want to use reusable pods. You answered all my questions . Thank you.

What is your favorite Coffee?
When I would use my reusable k pod I would brew a large coffee and always find it very watery but now I understand why so thank you! Great video 👍
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the information on using the K-Cups. I just got one and so far so good .
I bought a stainless steel reusable k-cup. I haven't tested it out yet. Today your YT came into my feeds. I so enjoyed your testing out the 4 variables. Something tells me I probably will have to buy the filters to eliminate the sediments. Thank you so much for ur demonstration.
Glad it helped!
What a nice and informative video!! This was very helpful! Thank you!!!!
You are so welcome!
Thank you very much for this great video! You helped me with my sediment problem, I'm purchasing filters today!
Glad it helped
Great video! I went online and found refillable Kpods in 10 packs for about the cost of 3 Kpods at the supermarket. My husband fills two week's supply at a time, we are retired so time is no big issue, but he has gotten very good at it. The nifty cup funnel works quite well. As far as the sediment issue, we just leave the last two drops in the cup. If you ever go to a Greek home, BEWARE! They spoon coffee grounds into the cup and pour hot water over it, then serve the coffee with the grounds in it. Only drink about 1/2 of the cup and don't stir it up.
I was wondering if pre-filling a couple weeks worth of k-cups go "stale" by the time you use the last ones? Just because the reusable cups are not sealed. Thank you
thanks for the video. Everyone i've seen of yours, have been very informative. Keep the great job up.
Awesome, thank you!
I really enjoyed your video, thank you so much for taking the time, I truly appreciate your efforts!
So nice of you
Thanks for the video! one suggestion to see sediment is to pour your final cups of coffee through a paper filter. I also like the reusable pods ( waste less plastic and fresher coffee grounds because I can grind my own, PLUS MUCH cheaper) and I used to cut my own filters and wrap them around the inside of my VUE pods ( a VUE is a Keurig pot that is larger than a K cup) this model did not last more than 2-3 years but did many varieties of brewing styles. The VUE pods do NOT have a bottom screen; the exit is on the side I believe, so I only have to wrap the home made filters around the inside walls. I would buy a pack of 100 cone shaped filters, split them open at the seam draw a template for 4 curved shaped filters, then but 10 or so one top of each other and cut them all at once to produce 40 or 50 filters to use in the next few weeks. This may sound like too much work for most people, but I do not like the sediment in my coffee and I like to save $$ and not buy those extra filters you insert, so everyone to their own choices... Now that I received a new Keurig-Duo as a present that uses regular pods I with have to figure out how to put part of my cut filter to cover the bottom screen; I guess I can always place the cone filter right on the top of my coffee mug and trap the sediment that way, but you use one filter for each cup. Sorry for the long rant on this... maybe someone will get something useful out of it...
This was really helpful. Thank you! I was about to but some and I didn't think the paper filter would be needed.
Glad I could help!
I just bought the exact same reusable kpod cup, I love it!!
Very informative, been going back and forth on whether to buy a Keurig....you answered many of my questions...Thank you!
Great to hear!
This was very informative! Thank you 🙏🏼
Best video ever explaining how to use the pods and filter
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching!
Just had my best coffee ever, following your directions with my Kc up. Also set it at 6 oz cup. So good. Great presentation!
Great to hear!
Not what I was looking for- but it helped me. Thank you
Your welcome!!!
Thank you for the video! I was trying to decide whether to use the filter. Your video definitely helped me make my decision. 😊
You’re welcome 😊
I figure a little bit of sediment at the bottom of my cup is worth saving the environment.👍🏼 Thanks for this in depth analysis…appreciate it man!
Great video…learned that I need to get some filters!
Just got mine today can't wait till the morning
Enjoy your coffee! Thanks for watching!
I use the K cup for a month now. At first I used the filters for it but then I started using it without and the taste was much better without plus I never get sediment in my coffee. Also I use the Keurig Duo.
Yeah I found the coffee taste a little better without the paper filter.
Thank you "Dad Videos" I have learned a lot. Dan
Thanks Dan, your kind words mean a lot. thanks Again!!!
i used to have some of these for 10 years best thing ever invented
I agree
Just found your channel. Thank you.
We have tried many refillable pods and found the Perfect Pod EZ-Cup to be best. It is all we use and the design avoids that water overflow.
Awesome! Thank you!
Very helpful and informative! Thank you!
If you use the strong mode on the reusable k-cup with the filter you may not get the water overflow. It slows down your brew time, but I think the flavor is worth the little wait. Then it won't be trying to force the water through as fast.
I don't use the filter, but I always brew strong. I also recommend just taking the reusable k-cup out and letting it dry. It makes clean up so much easier for me. I also have a basket made for baby bottle pieces in my dishwasher. I throw the reusable k-cups in there to wash them.
Thanks for Sharing, these are really good points that helped me and will help others!!!!
Such thorough video!! Thanks soooo much!! New follower 🎉
Thanks so much!
The best part of waking up, is Folgers in your cup ... thanks for the vid
You got that right! That is a very old commercial that I remember very well!!!
You sure did a lot of work doing this vid. Thank you
All great info 😉
Thanks so much!!!
You're so welcome!
And thank you too 😊
You deserve my sub. Ur videos are so well put together
I appreciate that! Thanks so much, That is why I am doing my videos I love to help others!!!
Very helpful and thorough video, thanks mate~
No problem!
Thanks; I was gifted a large bag of Starbucks whole coffee beans and used the machine next to the one you used for the demo. It spilled all over and there were coffee particles in the water reservoir. I think I could have ground it too fine and filled the filter too much! Will try it again after I get some of the paper filters. Thanks much.
Yeah that sounds good. If you have any questions please ask. I check my comments on a daily basis
We use the filters with the reusable pods but push the filter down a bit more then you did so as to have less grounds stick to the underside of the lid. Also, carefully wipe off the needle in the Keurig so as to keep it from getting clogged. That will also keep the coffee's great taste last longer. Ours has the water filter option to which we also use bottled drinking water instead of our tap water which is run through a salt pellet type water softener.
Thank you! Very informative. ☺☕
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching and I am glad it helped. Thanks
What is your favorite Coffee brand?
This was a really great video and answered a lot of my questions
Thanks so much for watching and your kind words!!!
What is your favorite coffee?
excellent video; thank you for helping all of us out
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Great video man thanks a lot
Excellent video Dad... Very detailed and simple everything I wanted to know. Thanks alot!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video! I'm getting my first reusable k cup and I'm super excited. This really helped me out! Make sure in the future you compost your coffee grounds! They create methane when they enter landfills, which is an extremely dangerous greenhouse gas associated with food waste. You could even just throw it into a bush or something!
Thanks for the tip!!
My aunt has always put her coffee grounds in her houseplants. They grow like crazy!
@@debbiem.4891 Thanks
Thank you, I was getting water overflowing in my Keurig standard, and I didn’t know why. I will try sealing the refillable K cup better, and making it seat better in the holder.
This was just a hugely helpful vid ... and I saw another vid on this topic prior to this one, and I got almost no value from it whereas this one hit every topic I could've come up with a question on. Very big for me was, reading articles around the web, I was getting the impression that regular K-Cups were roughly equivalent to drinking unfiltered coffee, which I, personally, felt I didn't want to do. This video gave the lie to those articles. I lovvvvvvved when you (a) showed the inside of a regular K-Cup and showed it did have a filter within it and (b) you carefully poured the cup of regular K-Cup coffer out and provided a really helpful camera angle to show whether there was sediment left at the bottom of the cup (there wasn't).
Very well done. Helpful. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, Dad, as usual. I must get some Folgers!
I have the purple K-cup basket and have used other coffee in it and it works just fine.
I like this way, too, so if I want to make a half-caff I can do so very easily.
Sounds great!
So clear and well explained.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video, great job explaining. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I love my keurig I've used the reusable k cup sits very helpful when you are out of the kcups at least you can use your regular ground coffee
Great tip!
I bought a stainless steel reusable pod on Amazon, lasts basically forever unlike the plastic ones.
Thanks this was very helpful!
Your So Welcome!
I've been trying to make sure I buy the right thing for that machine you have on the left. This is going to save us so much money
it will save lots of money for sure. thanks for watching
Super helpful! Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!!
Great video! I'm trying these out for a more inexpensive option. You remind me of my dad 😊
Hope you enjoy!
Awesome! Thanks for this video.
I really enjoyed your video. I have tried several times to use a reusable K cup and failed miserably. But now I know why. I would pack as much ground coffee into the reusable K cup thinking it would make it stronger just as I like it. Now I know that's not the way. Because of your video I will give it another go. Wish me luck.
Ty. I do have the reusable k cups. But I did buy them from amazon. Much cheaper. 12 count. Diff colors. I do have the filters but never use them. I will now. TYVM. For video
I don’t even drink coffee but I found this video very informative 👍
LOL thanks for watching!!!
Wow great video really appreciate it.
Well, I just checked my coffee and it was fine, but the paper filters are a good solution to this too. Thanks for all your detailed video. Happy Holidays!
Glad to help!
Great video, thank you! I find that if the Keurig is fuller with water it pushes more water into the brew for a few cups. The lower the water level, the less water in the coffee. It's not a huge difference, but something to be aware of.
Thanks for the info!
Love them
Luv the videos. I have that reuseable filter and yes, you do need to use a paper filter in it if you do not want the sediment. I have another refillable kcup by EZ-Cup and it is stainless steel. It works great. I use the disposable coffee filter with lids by CoffeeWorks.
This video showed up in my feed, and I'm really glad it did! Thank you for the fantastic demonstration, Sir! Now I see I need to go get one of those reusable K-cups and filters. Subscribed, liked, and here we go! \o/

very helpful I needed to know if the paper filters were neccessary so you have answered my questions!!
